More casual vibes coming today because...why not?  Cozy weather puts me in such a nesting mood and these looks are perfect for these chilly, moody November days.  Quilted cocoon coats, baggy denim, neutral colors and some casually played accessories are all it takes to achieve this look in minutes.

This coat is on my radar in quite a few color ways actually, but for this look I went with the black option for an easy sort of mono-chromatic look with a few pops of light.  These jeans are my go-to silhouette at the minute.  I love the feel of the high-waisted fit and the extra length along the bottom for autumn/winter.

Soft sweaters in ivory are a must for me.  This one is so comforting against the skin and work with just about every piece I currently own, haha.  I love it paired casually with these pieces for off-duty but I wouldn't hesitate to wear it with a really nice knee-length pencil skirt and some heels.

Baseball caps and trainers are such simple yet perfect complements to this look.  A nice sized tote in pebbled leather, classic sunglasses and gold hoops finish it off with understated style which captures the moment so very well.

I'm certainly loving all these pieces at the moment and have linked them in the thumbnails below.  Hope you're having the week you wished for...See you Friday!

Midweek inspo means a borrowed from the boys look this week.  I find it rather interesting the way my once all girlie, all the time style has evolved into moments that are a bit more sophisticated and inclusive of menswear inspired pieces like these.

Today's post is the perfect example of what that looks like so let's break it down, shall we?

To me, a well-fitting pair of trousers is an indespensible component of every closet.  The reasons why are practically as endless the number of ways to wear them.   I happen to love them with trainers, a boxy sweatshirt and a Moto jacket just as much as I do paired with ankle boots, a soft knit sweater and a longline quilted vest.  In fact, I'm really loving the new look of this updated piece being seen nearly everywhere at the minute.

And, I have to say  that I'm still a fan of the lieutenant's cap.  I think it's the perfect unexpected bit of interest when added to this look.  I also love it with moody all black and charcoal looks for autumn and winter.

Finally, add in some silver and gold bits with your jewelry and this handbag in such a stunning shade as this one and you are completely ready for whatever your day holds.

Hope this leaves you inspired to try something new.  Have a wonderful day wherever your heart takes you...be well!

Everyday style is such a personal choice but if you keep these three simple ideas uppermost in your mind, you will find that your best looks are always simple and rather easy to achieve.

I find that the number one thing that allows every woman to look and feel their best is to only wear styles that make you feel good.  Regardless of what the "hot items" might be at the moment, if they are pieces that don't leave you feeling confident and with your head in good place, then they will not translate favorably no matter how on trend they are.

Pieces that flatter your figure and accentuate the things you love about your body are what you need to turn towards.  Whether that might be long shapely legs or a striking hourglass figure, your clothing choices should highlight what you love about you.

Another important thing to consider when building your wardrobe is what is your color scheme.  Are you a bright and bold sort of girl, do you prefer a lot of patterns and prints in your closet or is basic black more your comfort zone?

For me, I can say I am one hundred percent a neutral lover.  So, whenever I add something to collection I always consider how it will play with those classic soft shades and balance out what I already own.  This charcoal grey knit dress is the perfect example of a neutral that would work effortlessly well with blacks, caramels, ivories and those deeper jewel toned colors I know I will be wearing all season.

Finally, if you have been following along for even just a little while, then you already know that I am dedicated the "Wear It Three Ways" rule of fashion.  Simply stated, if I can't wear a piece three different ways and love all of them, it doesn't come home with me.  I find that when you love shopping and clothing as much as I do, this standard rule of thumb really does help to keep me from buying more than I need and more than I will use.

And there they are, my three keys to everyday style that I live by.  I hope they help you to find the key to the looks and styles you love too.

It's no secret, I quite like getting dressed. Friends and family often comment to that end and I have to say it's true. I find genuine joy and pleasure in putting together simple everyday outfits as well as looks for more glamorous moments.

Today's post is dedicated to the everyday chic.  And while most of us don't have to get glammed up on the daily we still do want to look polished and put together as much as possible. We also want it to be easy aka a totally uncomplicated with stunning results. Basic silhouettes and gorgeous neutrals are what I turn to most when I want to make getting dressed simple yet satisfying.

This look relies heavily upon the basic pairing of black and cream.  Honestly I don't think this is a combination you can go wrong with. I love how the two shades play effortlessly off of one another. Black is especially reliable for autumn and winter and right now it pairs so well with the lighter shade of cream.  These trousers work well all year around and are well worth considering adding to your closet.

I love putting them together with a turtleneck jumper just like this one.  It is a basic piece that works overtime towards creating such a lovely variety of fall weather outfits.  As temperatures turn even cooler, you can of course pair it with a trench for an extra layer of warmth.  But for now, I like the look just as it is.

Timeless footwear and accessories complete this one so beautifully.  I am a huge fan of the loafer and this iconic pair does not disappoint.  If, however, they are not in the budget there are some very similar items you can find for a fraction of the cost.  I also love these.  Great sunglasses, a pair of hoops and this bag go on to check all the boxes on what I consider a very well-curated look.

Classic basics are brilliant which is honestly no surprise as they have withstood the test of time.  What are your favorite ways to look and feel your best daily?  I'd love to know!

Well hello and happy Monday!  We're fresh off the weekend and nearly at the start of a brand new month which to me is always exciting.  With that, I'm equally excited that that month will be one of my favorites aka September.

There are just certain months throughout the year that exude a certain sense of anticipation and excitement and for me number nines certainly one of them.  It's also a time when I do begin thinking about tonal dressing in something other than just white.  Khaki is one color that comes to mind this time of year as the color suggests a feel of autumn and is undeniably a gorgeous one.

Today's post is dedicated to some bits that can be worn sufficiently all on their own but which would look equally stunning worn together as well.  First off is this rather simple yet statement-making shirtdress done in the said brilliant shade of green.  I do love a good shirtdress and just find that olives and khakis make for the perfect match to its overall vibe and style.

Right now I'd say to pair it with some rich, tan leathers like a woven belt and an interest bearing pair of slide sandals.  Later in, some heels or loafers would work equally well or even a pair of trainers.  A coordinating blazer would look beautiful up against this piece as long as your shades are in the same color family.  Much like all colors these shades can come in either a warmer or cooler color family so be sure that yours match in that way so as to complement rather than clash with one another.

A leather bag is always up for negotiation and this one is my favorite at the minute.  While I just picked it up in the cappuccino shade, I also am quite taken with this olive green option.  It clearly works beautifully with these pieces here and would also look quite lovely paired against some other caramels, greys, bordeauxs and blacks we will be wearing this coming season.

Some easy gold jewelry (love these earrings here and here) and a nice pair of sunglasses like these alongside a swipe of blush lip color and a chic little hairlip and you are all set for the day.

Honestly, I love these autumn-inspired color schemes as well as the classic simplicity of tonal dressing.  Hopefully, you're feeling inspired to try this style out with some of your favorite colors and tones.  Wishing you a wonderful week!

Anyone else excited that the weekend is here? TGIF...and it's the second to last "official" Weeknd of summer.  With that said, it's the perfect time to pull out some easy to transition pieces that will work together in gorgeous color ways as well as with other warm weather options.

For me, it's always about the neutrals and my favorites in that category are none other than the nudes.  Personally, I don't think there's anything more beautiful than the way these shades play so effortlessly together.  Here I've pulled some bisque colored nudes alongside bits of blush and ivory create a really soft and feminine look that's perfect for some casual moments that weekends are known for.

This v-neck blouse is so silky and scarf and would equally adore being dressed up or played down.  The button and cuff detailing are nice elements that add a bit of sophisticated style and the rounded hem softens the look making completely versatile for styling.

I'm currently loving all things floaty and these pants are one simple reason.  The elasticated waist is the height of comfort and the slanted pockets and pressed creases give them the look of pulled togetherness.  You can easily pair them with a fine gauge, lightweight sleeveless blouse while it's still warm and later pop on a roomy blazer and this blouse or a chunky cardigan and you're ready for the day.

Gold and blush accessories are the perfect complements to these colors and this bag is well...simply perfect, haha.  The shape, size and color are all exactly what I adore.  It also comes with the option to be monogrammed in a gorgeous shade of gold.  Honestly, it doesn't get any better than this in my eyes, haha.

What pieces are you looking forward to putting together this weekend?  I'd love to hear!  Have a lovely time everyone!

Hello and welcome back from the weekend!  Is it just me or does anyone else seem to have an obsession with casual knits that are soft, breathable and absolutely perfect for spring and summertime?  Well, if you do then this post will be one you enjoy for sure.

Today I'm pairing some of my favorite warm weather knits with classic pieces, like these trousers, to create a simple and chic look that is going to be perfect for all the fun things we hopefully all have planned for the coming weeks and months.

So, this gorgeous cashmere scoop neck sweater is something I would somewhat consider a must-have.  Of course you don't need to spend a ton of money on a summer-weight sort of cashmere like this (there are a lot of more affordable options out there as well as sleeveless options like this one).  But, I just love the way it feels so soft and quite comforting against my skin really all season long.  So for me, it's the first one I reach for most days.

If you're planning a fun date night of outdoor dining or perhaps a nice brunch and you want a reliable piece to begin with then I do highly recommend this one.  I would go ahead and pair it with a lovely pair of long trousers like this pair from Karen Millen.  I simply love the color combination of soft white and taupe and think that it makes for such a well-done and sophisticated look throughout the summer.

A bit of cognac in the form of leather (like you'll see here on this sandal and this straw tote)  as well as these gorgeous tortoise shell sunglasses, will tie the entire look together while effortlessly taking the eye the full length of the outfit from top to bottom.   Gold studs are a really nice choice to go with this look especially if you'll be wearing your hair up or in my favorite warm weather style, the low bun.

I hope this look inspires you to take on some of your favorite pieces for spring/summer and style them in a way that makes you feel your absolute best.  Thanks so much for stopping by...Have a lovely day!

Is there really anything more classically chic than some gorgeous warm weather neutrals?  I'd like to think not as they are such a beautiful source of inspiration always.  Creams, white nudes and taupes all pair so very beautifully with a splash of blue denim from time to time.  So let's get started shall we?

Light colored trousers are an incredible focal point of any capsule wardrobe during the warmer months.  This pair here is right in so many ways.  I really love the length and bit of tailoring these offer along with the high-waistedness as I find that just so flattering.  You can pair them with nearly every piece pictured here today and never go wrong.

A smart linen shirt is another piece I can't get along without this time of year.  This one here is perfect in such a number of ways.  I happen to love it with some tailored shorts as well as with a lovely midi skirt of sorts.  Pair it it with either trainers or these sandals and you have a perfect look for a lunch date or some outdoor dining.

I also always keep a neutral blazer nearby which is such a necessary go-to.  I reach for mine whenever I  just need a little bit of something to cover up whenever you want to stave off the chill of air conditioning or a cooler sort of evening.  It is also a nice choice to wear with a pair of mom jean shorts while running errands around town.

Caramel leather bags might possibly be my favorite and work effortlessly well with all of these neutral pieces.  This one is such a reasonably priced item that I think most of us would get a lot of wear out of during this time of year.  Never being one to leave a look unfinished, I would round this one out with some delicate gold jewelry and a softly shaded pair of sunglasses.

Doesn't that sound so lovely?  I hope you think so too.  If you have fallen for any of these bits I've shared this time I've linked them all below for a closer look.  Hope everyone's ready for a lovely weekend...thanks for sharing part of it here with me!

Neutrals have my vote anytime of the year and spring fits the bill just fine.  From khaki trench coats to classic tan sandals, basic neutral tones are something I never grow tired of wearing.  Today's look shows off a bit of why.

Starting with a pair of cream colored trousers, I decided to build a quite casual look that still carries an effortless and elegant feel.  These pants can quite honestly work with so many different looks and pieces from the oversized white blouse and trainerss to a gorgeous jacket and strappy heeled sandal.  I'm landing somewhere in the middle today with chic but casual pieces I've chosen to pair with them.

I think a soft, nicely woven summer knit sleeveless sweater is such a good piece to pull into so many looks.  I love it with these pants as it is the perfect delicate balance to the more menswear-inspired bottom.  Flat sandals with just a slight bit of detailing elevate the look to just the right degree.  I also chose a beautiful cognac bag in this classic slightly structured style, perfect for a lunch date or something fun with girlfriends.  It's just roomy enough to hold everything without becoming a bit too oversized or chunky.

You all likely know how much I love my gold jewelry and this pair of hammered hoops works so very nicely with this look.  I must have sunglasses and this tortoise shell pair is so good with this look.  On the face or worn as a headband, they are the perfect complement to the entire outfit.

So, I hope you find something to love about this look.  In case that is so, you can shop it in the thumbnails below.  Have a wonderful day, everyone...see you on Friday!

Sometimes simple is best and I can't think of anything to which that applies more so than building an outfit.  Filling my closet with flattering neutral basics makes it so easy to get dressed and leaves me with endless possibilities.  What could be better?

Today's mood board features nudes which, as you all know, I can't get enough of.  When you're not a huge prints girl, gorgeous color palettes are truly your best friend.  This cardigan plays the role nicely.  Soft and cozy, which is perfect for now and ideal for layering (think over a silk cami or spring body con slip dress come cool springtime nights).  Just like in all facets of life, great basics cannot be denied.

Lighter washes of denim are coming into the fold and tend to be one of my favorite pieces to reach for as spring begins.  Pair them with this sweater here along with these mules (obsessed) , a great handbag and these sunnies.  Or top them with a classic white tee, these high-tops and a pair of studs for a bit of elevation and you are all set.

Either option is made better with the addition of the iconic camel coat.  Oh how much do I love the basic trench? Honestly, it is just so good and there is a reason it is an icon.  Can you guess why? Haha, yup...perfect with anything or striking as is all alone.

And these are some of the beautiful reasons I'm loving a nude mood.  Hope you guys are enjoying the things you love this Monday! You can see more of mine linked below.  Enjoy!

And these are some of the beautiful reasons I'm loving a nude mood.  Hope you guys are enjoying the things you love this Monday! You can see more of mine linked below.  Enjoy!

Winter blahs? Never! Haha, well at least not when their are gorgeous neutrals like these waiting to be worn.  If you've followed along for a little bit of time then you likely already know that I love a great neutral.  Ivories, creams, cogbacs, greys and subtle shades of rose all qualify for this much adored category.  And what makes this love affair even better is the fact that you can wear it all year long no matter the season.

During the cold winter months, I am always reaching for the coziest of items in these shades and colors.  To me they are just so truly romantic and angelic as they light you up everywhere you go.  My favorite way to wear them is by combining winter whites with icy greys and taupes and then added a bolder bit of interest with your accessories.  This sweater, these trousers and this fedora would be so chic paired with these ankle boots, these glasses and this bag.  Keep the vibe going on into spring by switching out these cozy fabrics for sheerer options warm days will be begging for.

To me this palette is the easiest way to dress for the day, no matter where it may be taking you and the look is always timeless.  I have linked the pieces you see here down in the thumbnails below.  I hope you love hem as much as I do.  Have a beautiful Wednesday everyone and thanks for stopping by!

When you find something spectacular, you need to share the love for it with the world, right? Going with that, today I am sharing with you five of the brands I am loving lately.  You already know of my long love affair with Nordstrom and I highly doubt that will ever change.  But, I also have several brands that I am faithful to as well and these are the latest to join the club.

I'm going to begin with one that is effortlessly casual, currently classic and always has exactly what I'm looking for at the moment.  It is & Other Stories.  I just love their pieces for so many reasons.  Most notably, they are completely versatile, embody the sense of the modern woman and they honor sustainability which is something that is really at the forefront of so many fashion purchases for me right now.

Second on the list is Cuyana.  I first came across this brand several years ago and find myself going back to them time and time again.  They seem to have the market cornered on how to effortlessly style chic neutrals.  I don't know if anybody does it better.  When heading over there, you will likely recognize several pieces from past posts I've shared.  Simple elegance and again they are a sustainable brand and I applaud them for that.  I definitely recommend taking a look.

Another brand on my radar right now is Mango.  With only a few stores in the area here where I live, I spend most of my time shopping on their website but am hoping this will eventually change.  If you've never shopped with them before, you will find a lot of classically chic choices to pick from.  They feature styles similar to both & Other Stories and Cuyana with a very affordable price point.  I find that their casual dresses are really quite pretty and they are currently offering 30% off site-wide with the code: SHOP30 if you want to take a look.

No list of favorites would be complete without including....SHOES.  Yes, I love them in all varieties as you likely well know.  This brand has really caught my eye.  Dear Frances (isn't that the most clever little name?) has what might be the best selection of boots I've ever seen.  Given that they dedicate themselves strictly to footwear, that makes beautiful sense.  And speaking of beautiful, everything they offer is just that.  Their prices lean a bit more towards the higher end of the average scale.  But, if you are a savvy shopper (and I know you are) you can find yourselves some very good deals.  Your feet will thank you endlessly because the brand prides itself on feeling good when you wear them as well as looking incredibly chic.

So, I've saved my latest favorite for last and that is Loewe. Oh, where to begin on this one.  Let me first say that their clothing options most closely reflect something you'd see coming straight off the runway.  If you are that girl, this is the brand you must entertain.  Personally, I am in love with their handbags.  The collections they offer are truly beyond gorgeous.  Of course, with immense beauty, there comes a bit of a higher (aka steep) price tag but I can tell you that these bags are well worth it if you fall in love with one.

So there they are.  Five favorite brands I can't get enough of right now.  I hope you enjoy them and find something to fall in love with too.  Have a fantastic Friday everyone and enjoy this glorious October weekend!

5 BRANDS I'M LOVING LATELY

I don't know about you but for me, there is just something so alluring about classic pieces that have notably stood the test of time.  Whether that be in the form of slihouette, style or color, these pieces have it.  That chic factor that is unmistakable and so very coveted by those glamorous women who know style and capture it everywhere...aka us girls.  Haha, well it is true.  A classic look remains timeless because of its sheer staying power.  What is it they say? Fashion changes but true style remains.

That is where we are going today.  To the era of the Jackies, Audreys and Carolyns that we adore for the way they embodied true style and elegance while making it all look completely effortless.  Oh, I do love that.

Now that it is fall, I'm all about the color camel, even more than usual.  I honestly think you could find me wearing it any given day of the week and I never, ever grow tired of it.  That's mostly because it's such a gorgeous, rich color that looks beautiful on everyone and you can wear it in an endless number of ways.

Today I've chosen it in the shape of an oversized, roomy turtleneck that will love being styled with nearly every item you already own.  Now, since it is autumn, I've decided to no longer pair it with white (even though the two together might be my favorite color combo of all time).  Instead, classic blue denim will be taking its place.  This pair of mom jeans has been getting so much wear from me lately.  I love the way they fit and have become a huge fan of the high-waisted look. I never thought I'd say that but if you've worn them then maybe you know exactly what I mean.

Now, let's take a moment to truly appreciate the star of the show...The Sarah Flint Natalie flat.  I fell in love with this pair of shoes immediately the moment I saw them.  It wasn't hard to do and if you own a pair yourself, you know why.  Timeless, classic and so very chic are three ways to describe their appeal.  I, of course, love them in this color.   It's my unofficial go-to and works with everything, especially throughout the fall.  They also come in a variety of other pretty colors you might love too.  For me, the saddle vacchetta is the best choice.  So pretty and I absolutely love it as a part of this look.

I decided to go with this bag to add to the other pieces you see here.  Not sure quite where to begin with this one other than to say of course that it is absolutely gorgeous and I do love it. Again the color is perfect for this palette and all things autumn.  I love the drawstring feature and the small bit of gold hardware.  I don't think there are many things that are any better than that, haha.  But truly, this bag will love being in any fall wardrobe.  Love it.

Accessories are always the final touch that either elevate the outfit or take away from the look.   The latter is never good, haha.  Okay so for this look today, I chose this beautiful watch from Olivia Burton.  I think the color is absolutely gorgeous and the size of the face is just right to get noticed but not detract from the outfit itself.  Black sunnies are always, always the right choice.  I don't think anyone has ever gone wrong wearing them I can assure you and today is no exception. I especially adore this particular pair.

And just like that, you have a beautifully styled look for casual events any day of the week.  By now I have learned that styling an outfit does not have to be laborious.  In fact, it's quite the opposite as I so often love putting my favorite pieces together in so many new and different ways.  But, you knew that already.

So, what looks do you want to see styled for fall? Please leave me a comment below or message me on my Instagram account and I'd be happy to do it.  Thank you for stopping by today and sharing part of your day with me.  See you on Wednesday!

SHOP THE LOOK:

When it comes to clothes and shopping, I'm all about the craving, the coveting and the wonder of the wish list.  Sometimes though, it feels so good to just pair things down and really bring it back to basics. That's exactly what you'll find when you explore Cuyana.  This online only boutique, designed around a 'fewer, better things' philosophy, embraces simplicity and makes styling simple with its streamlined selection of  key pieces.  Get the right few for you and you can mix and match in all the ways needed to create a killer wardrobe.

After checking out what they have to offer, I discovered these essential pieces that I would love to have hanging and available in my closet.  The Alpaca sweater dress is probably my favorite pick with its soft, supple texture and the way it hugs the body in a beautifully flattering way.  I'd say pair it with these great over the knee boots and the Alpaca long cape…so chic!  Silk blouses are always a staple for me.  This Cuyana version works alone or layered under a cardigan (love this one!)  The brand offers leather goods and fab accessories as well.  This tote is amazing and the leather clutch would be a perfect choice for date night.  Finally, this cozy scarf is calling my name, especially as the weather continues to cool down.

If you've never given this brand a look, you might want to give it a try.  Whether you want to edit your closet for travel or simply for ease, I think you'll love what you find.  Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend!!
