Well hello and happy Monday!  We're fresh off the weekend and nearly at the start of a brand new month which to me is always exciting.  With that, I'm equally excited that that month will be one of my favorites aka September.

There are just certain months throughout the year that exude a certain sense of anticipation and excitement and for me number nines certainly one of them.  It's also a time when I do begin thinking about tonal dressing in something other than just white.  Khaki is one color that comes to mind this time of year as the color suggests a feel of autumn and is undeniably a gorgeous one.

Today's post is dedicated to some bits that can be worn sufficiently all on their own but which would look equally stunning worn together as well.  First off is this rather simple yet statement-making shirtdress done in the said brilliant shade of green.  I do love a good shirtdress and just find that olives and khakis make for the perfect match to its overall vibe and style.

Right now I'd say to pair it with some rich, tan leathers like a woven belt and an interest bearing pair of slide sandals.  Later in, some heels or loafers would work equally well or even a pair of trainers.  A coordinating blazer would look beautiful up against this piece as long as your shades are in the same color family.  Much like all colors these shades can come in either a warmer or cooler color family so be sure that yours match in that way so as to complement rather than clash with one another.

A leather bag is always up for negotiation and this one is my favorite at the minute.  While I just picked it up in the cappuccino shade, I also am quite taken with this olive green option.  It clearly works beautifully with these pieces here and would also look quite lovely paired against some other caramels, greys, bordeauxs and blacks we will be wearing this coming season.

Some easy gold jewelry (love these earrings here and here) and a nice pair of sunglasses like these alongside a swipe of blush lip color and a chic little hairlip and you are all set for the day.

Honestly, I love these autumn-inspired color schemes as well as the classic simplicity of tonal dressing.  Hopefully, you're feeling inspired to try this style out with some of your favorite colors and tones.  Wishing you a wonderful week!
