Hello and Happy Thanksgiving week!  Ahhh, this is one of my most favorite weeks of the year as the floodgates to the holiday season are about to open and the most glorious time of the year is ready to begin.  But, before it does, I want to take a moment to highlight a lovely little casual look that can take you all the places you need to go leading up to the big day.

Grey, cream and navy are such a gorgeous trio that perfectly embodies the richness of the season with the perfect understated feel I love.  This sweater is such a good option at the minute as it can easily go casual or dressy depending how you pair it.  These trousers complement the feel this look is going for and create that perfect early winter white effect.

If you're searching for a coat, this one comes highly recommended.  I love the look and feel of it worn effortlessly with loafers, heels and hightops alike.  Today, some easygoing Converse fit the bill.  I'm loving them in this shade, so wearable with so many of those wintertime neutrals.

Classic black sunglasses and this stunning handbag will never get old.  I love them both with most everything I wear which in and of itself makes them worth the price of admission.  I love it when getting dressed is this simple and looks this well done.

I hope everyone is preparing to spend a lovely bit of time with family and friends and taking a moment to reflect upon the most precious things you are thankful for.  Stay tuned for my Black Friday favorites coming your way later in the week.  Have a wonderful week everyone and Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello and happy midweek! Today I have some low-key style inspiration to share with you all in the form of a classic pattern, the stripe.  Now, as many of you know, I am not a big fan of patterns but a striped t-shirt is such a timeless piece that can easily fit into any wardrobe and any style of dressing.

Depending upon your personal preference and taste, you can choose any silhouette in the shape that is most flattering on you and best suited for your body shape.  This one is a nice classic take on the basic tee and I think the length of the body and sleeves are both rather easy to wear.  Meaning, you can either tuck it in with a roomy pair of high-waisted denim or wear it out and over some shorts or ankle length jeans.  Personally,  I'm really favoring the first choice but it is always so nice to have options.

White or light colored denim would definitely be my pick for styling stripes this time of year.  You may want to, however, pair it with some black pieces of interest to really help tie the look together.  This trench is a bit of a different take on the classic tan color which I always talk at length about.  So, if you're looking for something classic that has just a bit of a different feel, I recommend trying it out.  You might just fall in love.

Some finishing touches on this look would be a few nice, neutral pieces.  I always reach for this Chloe bag in this lovely shade of putty.  Several options for footwear will keep your options open so that you can take the look anywhere you may be heading.  Trainers, mules and even a pair of hightops would all work perfectly for spring and on into summer.

Thanks so much for sharing a few minutes here with me today.  As always, I hope you find something to love.  See you all next time as we're heading into the weekend.

Sometimes simple is best and I can't think of anything to which that applies more so than building an outfit.  Filling my closet with flattering neutral basics makes it so easy to get dressed and leaves me with endless possibilities.  What could be better?

Today's mood board features nudes which, as you all know, I can't get enough of.  When you're not a huge prints girl, gorgeous color palettes are truly your best friend.  This cardigan plays the role nicely.  Soft and cozy, which is perfect for now and ideal for layering (think over a silk cami or spring body con slip dress come cool springtime nights).  Just like in all facets of life, great basics cannot be denied.

Lighter washes of denim are coming into the fold and tend to be one of my favorite pieces to reach for as spring begins.  Pair them with this sweater here along with these mules (obsessed) , a great handbag and these sunnies.  Or top them with a classic white tee, these high-tops and a pair of studs for a bit of elevation and you are all set.

Either option is made better with the addition of the iconic camel coat.  Oh how much do I love the basic trench? Honestly, it is just so good and there is a reason it is an icon.  Can you guess why? Haha, yup...perfect with anything or striking as is all alone.

And these are some of the beautiful reasons I'm loving a nude mood.  Hope you guys are enjoying the things you love this Monday! You can see more of mine linked below.  Enjoy!

Friday vibes are some of my favorite, how about you?  Even though our lives and how we're dressing has changed so much, one thing is for sure...we love our laidback weekend looks.  Today's post is dedicated to just that with a dash of one of my go-to color combos, black and tan.

Easy outfits are built upon basics.  In this case, it is a great-fitting pair of distressed black denim and an inky black mock neck sweater.  Both are versatile enough to work with an endless number of other pieces you own as well as together.

Classic accessories are my top pick for adding just enough interest while keeping with the minimalist feel we're creating.  These sneakers are a must for me and also pair so well with so many things I love to wear (think blazers, denim and joggers).  Add in some cognac and tortoise bits like this bag and these sunnies and a gold watch for just the right amount of polish.

These nude lip glosses complement it all and this utility jacket tops it off while effortlessly pulling the entire look together.  And there you have it, easy pieces that are perfect for a laidback weekend.

Just another reason to say...Hello, weekend!

Monday always seems like a good day to start with the simple.  That's true for outfit options too.  A few easy pieces are sometimes all it takes to create a look you love.  These soft shades and a nod to spring are exactly what I'm craving right now.

Embellished collars have been on my radar for awhile now and this dusty blue cardigan is such a great example of why.  It's from & Other Stories which is a one-stop spot I cannot get enough of.  If you've never checked them out, I highly recommend checking their goodies out.

White denim is back in the fold.  Honestly, did it ever leave? Haha, so glad those old rules no longer apply and this pair is one reason why.  I love how easy they are to wear with just about everything and become the perfect backdrop for prints, neutrals or bright, bold pieces.  Such a classic look and I really love them styled with the creams and cognacs you see here.

I don't know about you but I'm already thinking about my spring jacket collection and refreshing a few pieces.  One option I always love having though is a gorgeous trenchcoat.  Black and tan both work beautifully on everyone but my true favorite is the tried and true camel version.  Double-breasted and belted, it is a foolproof piece that adds a touch of classic style to any look.

Once you've built your outfit of the day, nothing's better than finishing it off with your favorite added touches.  I've always loved accessories and now I realize why.  They are the easiest and most fun way to add your personality to whatever you are wearing.  For me that means sunnies (obsessed with this pair right now) of course, my favorite sneakers and a classic handbag.

So many great choices, now we just need spring to get here! Happy Monday everyone!

Hello, weekend! No matter what you've been up to or how you've spent the week, it is always so nice to welcome in the weekend.  Hopefully, you have plans to enjoy something that makes you smile.  And, if you need something fresh and sassy to wear, I'm your girl!

Even though we've all repeatedly said how low-key our work week looks became over the past year, I still feel like weekend vibes are just a little different somehow.  And they're a great chance to highlight your personal style because it is fabulous after all.

So, these jeans have made a reappearance in my rotation.  I'm not sure if it's the darker wash, sophisticated yet relaxed leg or the fact that they love my Converse.  Probably a combination of all three, haha.  But they are comfortable, flattering and play so well with sweaters, moto jackets and blazers that I just had to pull them back out again.

For today's look, they star alongside a black chunky knit turtleneck sweater.  Honestly, is there any piece that is any more classic and well-loved than the black turtleneck?  Audrey knew what she was doing.  I love it lots of ways but for weekend moments in winter I'm pairing it for comfort.  Slip on those Converse I mentioned before or I also think this pair of Chelsea boots would look quite nice with them as well.

Keeping it simple means that once you have a great top and bottom you are happy with all you need to do is add a couple of eye-catching accessories that round things out and polish off the look perfectly.  And that brings me to...this coat.  Of course it is a total splurge but so worth it if that is something you can comfortably afford.  I love chocolate in all forms and this gorgeous option is no exception, haha.  I also love bringing a little bit of warmth to the entire look with the brown hues like the ones in these tortoise sunnies.  This bucket hat is also so adorable and will work now in corduroy and can be switched out with a cotton version in the spring.

Slightly brighter pops of color can come in the form of this handbag which I've been loving all fall and winter long.  And, a rose colored lip gloss is just the right finishing touch to any weekend look.

So, is it just me or does January always feel like the longest month of the year? Well, the weekend is here and that is something to celebrate.  Stay cozy everyone!

Doing a bit of London dreaming today and while I may not currently be able to enjoy a walk along those cobblestone streets just yet, I can still get dressed for it.  British style is classic yet cutting edge which is one of the elements that always draws my eye.  Simple silhouettes and easy to style pieces make the look come to life with very little effort and a whole lot of results.

I love black, greys, camels and creams and this look pulls all of them together with effortless ease.  Unlike  some trendier styles, these pieces create ultra-stylish looks that you wear instead of them wearing you.  Simple, soft yarn turtlenecks play so gracefully with a relaxed trouser like this one.  Then, as 2020 taught us so well, lose the fancy footwear and go instead with a casual little kick like this pair of sneakers.  If you are in the mood for a little more luxury then I'd say reach for these gorgeous booties.

Accessories are the greatest (and easiest) ways to add a personal touch to your look.  For me, I absolutely adore a newsboy cap.  I also think this style is super cute.  A classic patterned scarf is a great option nearly year-round so that's a definite yes in winter.  This one works with nearly every neutral piece you can own. British gals know the importance of a timeless bag.  I'm still loving this one.  And finally, don't forget a quick swipe of color on the lips to bring the whole look to life.

Ahhh, it's so easy to put together chic European looks with staple pieces like these.   For all the details on everything shown here today, you can shop them all via the thumbnails below.  Now, we just have to buy the plane tickets! Hope you are having fun planning your great escape too.  Enjoy the daydream, it's the first step of the journey!

October is such a gorgeous month and just so cozy on all levels.  Colorful landscapes are all I've been seeing and they are completely lighting me up.  The wines, golds and chestnuts of autumn simply can not be matched.  However, we can't forget that Halloween is just a few days away now and that means, we are back in black.  Whether that's a head-to-toe moment for you or a mix of black and some more muted tones, this color is about to own the moment right now.

So, black can go in so many directions and is always a good thing when it comes to styling.  Why not start ours with a great fitting pair of mom jeans.  Honestly, I'm not quite sure how I feel about that name because it feels like it carries a little bit of a negative connotation, haha. But anyway, these high-waisted honeys are my favorite style of the moment.

So like I said, you can choose to either go all black or you can mix in some really beautiful neutrals which is what I'm doing here today. This cashmere turtleneck for example is one of my favorite pieces and in my rotation heavily right now. I love how you can wear it with a lot of other neutrals or denim perhaps or even with a print or a plaid.  You all know me and for a piece to find its way into my closet then it has to be wearable multiple ways. I don't think that'll be changing any time soon.

Black is so popular for many reasons, versatility being one of them.  I love how many pairs of black shoes one girl can have without ever feeling like any two look the same.  Shoe girls are you with me? Haha.  Yes, it's true.  This pair of Chelsea boots, for example, will be such a good option with this look as well as with a casual dress and black blazer, a pair of trousers and a wool coat or with boyfriend denim and a chunky oversized cropped sweater.  Conversely, you could reach for this pair of high-tops and pull off a great top to bottom all black look.  I happen to love either option and have worn both on numerous occasions which is always a sign of a well-chosen outfit that suits who you are.

Black accessories offset by bits of gold are forever going to be a classic choice.  I love this watch for that reason and these earrings speak (albeit quite softly) for themselves.  Never underestimate the allure of a simple pair of black sunnies (love these) and you will have yourself a chic little black outfit perfect for these days coming up on Halloween.

In what ways do you guys like to wear your black basics?  I always love hearing your takes on how to style things too!  Hope everyone is enjoying the week...See you on Friday!

Classic outwear is such a closet staple come this time of year.  Whether we're talking about a chic little blazer, biker style moto or belted coat, there are so many fun and well-styled ways to wear them.  Today I'm highlighting one of my favorites, the wool trenchcoat.  Now, not only is this a gorgeous piece, when you turn to it in the color navy, all bets are truly off.

For whatever reason, navy blue never seems to get its due love or admiration.  Perhaps, a lot of us really do enjoy this color and it doesn't need a lot of bells and whistles.  Or maybe it is just naturally a quiet classic.  Either way, I do adore it and that is why I've chosen to design several ways to wear it here today.

Okay, so since this is a classic coat, it is quite fitting that we first put together some classic, dare I say preppier, pieces to first go with.  This sweater has been seen here before.  That in itself is suggestive of a tried and true piece that pays you back with each wear.  And, with every great classic sweater comes the perfect partner...a flattering pair of jeans.  Is it just me or has denim gotten really, really good (make that great) lately?  I suppose that is a whole other post but I digress, haha.

So, jeans are such a wonderful partner in crime to nearly every look there is.  Whether it's an autumn take like this one or a springtime feel of a t-shirt and sneakers.  Jeans always work.  And work well. This look is no exception.

The navy wool coat agrees and the proof is right there in the lovely way these few simple pieces take things down that classic cobblestone road.  Simple stripes, neutral colors and a pair of classic sunglasses make for quite an effortless look.

But, there are days when we may want to change the vibe up a bit and happily, this coat can handle that.  So for example, you may find that you're in the mood for something a little more sporty, say a comfy hoodie perhaps. This one is ultra-soft and I may want to warn you that once you slip into it, you may find yourself not wanting to ever take it off.   That's okay really, because like I said, this dream coat doesn't care.  It's up for almost anything.

I love the look of a hoodie peeking out from beneath a great trench. And black denim always takes the lead role once again in bottoms here with this look.  Then when it comes time to accessorize, I think that a fun little beanie (love this one), a classic check scarf and a sporty crossbody round out the whole look.  Of course, these sneakers are one of my favorite pairs.  I love them so much with so many of the looks I enjoy creating.  And I just happen to think that they work wonders with this autumn outfit above.

And there you have it.  Two ways to wear this gorgeous gem of a coat.  If you all fall in love with it as much as I already have, please let me know and I'll be happy to suggest more ways to wear it.
Thanks friends and have a wonderful Wednesday!

TGIF!  It's been a pretty long week for this girl so I'm super happy to say hello, Friday!  Weekends offer so many things to look forward to and what to wear is always one of them.  Today I'm sharing some of my latest faves perfect for those two days.  Cozy sweaters are a fall season staple for me and these are two that I'm loving right now.  Animal prints are still on my love list and this pullover shows you why.  It's soft, comfy and the just right topper to pair with jeans and these boots for a trip around the pumpkin patch.  You all also know that I am a huge fan of pink and this sweater is yet another sweet reason why.  I love its oversized fit and the crisscross cable knit detail puts a modern twist on a classic.  These sneakers, this backpack and cute beanie are exactly what I'm wanting on a Saturday afternoon exploring the city.  There are plenty of other fun, cute details and pieces that you'll want too and I've linked those below.  Hope everyone is looking forward to something fun this weekend....Enjoy friends!

Weekly Wednesday inspo has been so much fun lately.  It's likely due to all the extra fun options the spring season provides.  One thing trending majorly right now are the ever classic favorite.....stripes.  I've always been a fan of this all-American look and something about this navy and white combo just says pre-summer getaway.  This pattern plays well with both our favorite casual and feminine looks.  It also turns out to be the just-right accent for a cute clutch or carryall tote.  No matter your taste or whatever suits your style, stripes can find a happy place in your wardrobe.  I've linked my favorite striped pieces below for you to shop.  Hope your week is wonderful so far....Thanks so much for stopping by!

In honor of Friday, today I've put together some key pieces that would be perfect for a spring weekend.  I love this striped t-shirt dress and its nautical vibe (this one's great too).  I can definitely see wearing it for a sunny Saturday stroll or perusing the farmer's market on Sunday morning.  It's soft and easy and pairs well with some other equally laid-back items.  A great cropped denim jacket, for example, which is a must-own piece to have in your closet.  It goes with absolutely everything and can be either dressed up or dressed down.  When it comes to a look built on basic neutrals, nothing punches things up like a bold pop of color.  I happen to adore red as an accent hue.  Whether it's in the form of a gorgeous lipstick or high shine mani-pedi, this classic color is always right.  Now, any casual outfit just wouldn't be complete without a few luxe accessories giving it that high-low feel.  This Kate Spade watch is simply adorable and likely goes with nearly everything you already own.  To be honest, it's the red spade that I just can't get enough of…so darling!  I also always reach for this clutch by Clare Vivier.  Her pieces are all amazing and will mix and match with what's already in your wardrobe.

I hope you all have a great weekend and would love to know your favorite spring go-to styles!

Seasons change and so does the decision over what makes it to the front of the closet this time.  Well, taking up that real-estate for me right now is the striped tube skirt.  I absolutely love it!  Like I've said before, in order for an item to make the cut, I have to be able to style it at least three different ways.  Today I'm sharing the ways this one meets that requirement.  One way I love to style it is with a relaxed chambray shirt, tied at the waist and rolled at the sleeves to show an armful of bangles, and a cute pair of stacked heel booties like these.  On dressier days let's get fancy with the addition of some sparkle.  Pair your stripes with a gorgeous jeweled collar blouse, a great pair of heels and your favorite stud earrings…Oooh la la!    Then when Saturday morning rolls around and the feeling is laid backed, this easy-stretch version is what I'll reach for.  A slouchy, slightly cropped sweatshirt, a pair of these sneaks, my favorite broken-in denim jacket and sunnies take me on all the early day errands I need to run.

What has you inspired lately?  Thanks so much for stopping by….Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone!

My shoe closet is having a wonderful moment of casual comfort mixed with wearable chic.  Yes, it has officially become the season of the sneaker.  While glimpses of this footwear phenomenon were becoming apparent through the winter, spring's sunshine and beauty have brought with them a colorful array of chic sneaks and I couldn't be happier!  While their easy-to-wear nature is what has always made them popular with comfort seekers, their new modern makeover has made them some of the most  sought after shoes of the moment {with street stylers leading the way!}.  Traditional lace-ups have now been replaced by colorful slip-ons and old school favorites {hello, Vans and Converse!}.  Espadrilles are also joining the party with their fun colors, patterns and prints.  These shots above are some of my favorite new styles.  I've already picked up these pretties in the pink/blue combo and have been loving them paired with black, white, denim and even a bright blue maxi skirt.

How do you feel about this latest footwear trend and which pairs are on your spring wish list?  Thanks for reading and have a wonderful Wednesday!
