Happy Friday! Even though it's summer and living is eas(ier), there is still something so wonderful about the weekend.  And now that we are at the end of August, these are the last few before the change of seasons really starts to set in (which I loveee by the way!).  So, to finish off the summer right, I've put together a few simple, chic pieces that would be perfect for a summer weekend send off.  This dress caught my eye immediately while doing some online shopping the other day.  The colors are gorgeous and so appropriate for right now.  The fabric is lightweight enough to be comfortable but the elbow length sleeve gives a subtle nod to fall.  I also love that it has a belted waist and that ruffle hem had me at hello.  Believe or not, it was another great find from Amazon Fashion and everything by this brand is sooo feminine and pretty.  These sandals would look adorable with it alongside this woven handbag.  A great pair of tortoise shell sunnies and these gold earrings are the just right accessories for a late summer date night.  I also think that this shade of shadow (very unexpected but extremely flattering on everyone) and this gloss make for a very alluring look.  It's from Beauty Pie and if you haven't checked their incredible offers you can do that right here.  Don't forget to add in a romantic scent to really pull out all the stops, haha.  This one from Jo Malone has been my early fall favorite since the first time I ran into my favorite fellow blogger and she was wearing it at NYFW.  Trust me, you will love it.

Happy Wednesday!  How's everyone's week? MINIMAL MAKEUP







Happy Wednesday!  How's everyone's week? March means spring vibes are in the air and with that, spring break is hot on their heels.  If you're planning a fun getaway or just want to refresh your closet with a breath of fresh air, spring essentials are what we all need right now.  These pieces are fun and fresh and the basic components of a well performing rotation.  I love a spring sweater and this one works now and later making it a must-have for me.  I also want to get my hands on a really great tote to carry all my essentials while pairing well with everything.  Currently eyeing this one.  A chic little pair of sneakers is always a good investment.  Nowadays we can slip them on with shorts and a t-shirt for a cool casual vibe or match them up with a midi skirt and trucker jacket for a fun urban feel.  This swimsuit is a definite must for me.  I mean the color, the cut and the polka dots...so adorable!

A change of seasons means more than just a wardrobe refresh.  It's also the perfect time to rethink your makeup bag as we switch out the bright shades of summer for the richer hues of fall.  Cocoa, olive and berry shades are not just for the clothes in our closet.  They're also the most gorgeously flattering makeup shades that will add romantic beauty to your complexion following the exit of that toasty golden glow.  I also love bringing in warm and cozy scents that wrap you up in sheer deliciousness that delights the senses.

It's no secret that clean beauty is now a thing.  It's so much more than just a simple trend, however.  With so much attention and emphasis being placed upon wellness and optimal health, it's not surprising to see skincare and beauty brand falling into line.  Personally, I can tell you I'm loving it.  

The more I shop for skincare, the more options there seems to be for tightening, toning, clarifying and adding overall radiance to our skin.  And while I find this to be fantastic, I know a lot of us can also feel overwhelmed by soooo many terrific options.  That's why I wanted to take a moment to share my latest clean beauty faves that so many of you have requested. 

If we look at skincare simply, there are some basic goals we all need to achieve.  These would be to cleanse, tone, balance, exfoliate, protect and hydrate.  I know, it sounds like a lot, but trust me, it really is easy to pair down and the results are beyond worth it!

My favorite way to cleanse is with a splash of micellar water to start.  It breaks down my makeup and  protects the fragile pH level of our skin.  Next I remove the day with a creamy cleansing balm or a dollop of coconut oil (which is very inexpensive and what I find works best!).  If your oil-proned you can substitute with a deeper cleansing cream. I love this one.

Toners are so nice after a wash and have really improved the overall functioning of my skin.  While I know the name sounds harsh but a great toner will effortlessly rebalance your skin's pH to banish dryness and keep oiliness in check. An extra step I like to throw in is to pat in an essence.  This one leaves my skin super soft and hydrated and ready to accept whatever I put on next.  

A great moisturizer is a must and those that multitask are even better.  This Biossance version contains both squalene and probiotic which means your skin recieves ultra nourishment and the optimal form of hydration.  If a face oil is more your thing this one is my all time favorite!

Hair gets in on the clean beauty game too with an amazing number of options for treating your tresses gently from wash to style.  I've been using a co-wash in place of traditional shampoo for a while now and have never been happier.  Unlike shampoo, these gentler methods remove product and impurities without striping your hair of its natural, necessary oils.

It's now only $5, affording you a twenty dollar savings.    If you don't spend as much as you thought you would any given month, the unused funds just roll over to the next.  And, if you fall in love and want more (like me!), spending limit upgrades are available for us enthusiasts as they say, haha.  

Honestly, I haven't seen many opportnities quite like this one and I have to say I'm super excited to explore the things they have to offer! Details about the program and how it works can be found here.  But basically, memberships range from ten to thirty dollars a month with the option for an annual $99 per year plan.  For me, the membership plan that I'm choosing is the $20 per month as I feel this gives me the opportunity to shop around , explore the goods and see what I like and love.  The products you see featured here today are some of the ones I'm currently coveting.  

This eyeshadow palette is soooo gorgeous and would complement so many skin tones and eye colors with its neutral base.  I also love the glossy pink shade of this high moisture but not sticky gloss.  A swipe of this multi glow highlighting stick will leave you dewy and beautiful.  Love it.  And there are some said to be incredible beauty products too.  I really want to try out this super retinol serum.  The benefits of an effective retinol are unparalleled and this one gets rave reviews.  Following it up with this face oil is going to be the nutrious drink of moisture our end of summer skin craves.
