Happy Friday! Even though it's summer and living is eas(ier), there is still something so wonderful about the weekend.  And now that we are at the end of August, these are the last few before the change of seasons really starts to set in (which I loveee by the way!).  So, to finish off the summer right, I've put together a few simple, chic pieces that would be perfect for a summer weekend send off.  This dress caught my eye immediately while doing some online shopping the other day.  The colors are gorgeous and so appropriate for right now.  The fabric is lightweight enough to be comfortable but the elbow length sleeve gives a subtle nod to fall.  I also love that it has a belted waist and that ruffle hem had me at hello.  Believe or not, it was another great find from Amazon Fashion and everything by this brand is sooo feminine and pretty.  These sandals would look adorable with it alongside this woven handbag.  A great pair of tortoise shell sunnies and these gold earrings are the just right accessories for a late summer date night.  I also think that this shade of shadow (very unexpected but extremely flattering on everyone) and this gloss make for a very alluring look.  It's from Beauty Pie and if you haven't checked their incredible offers you can do that right here.  Don't forget to add in a romantic scent to really pull out all the stops, haha.  This one from Jo Malone has been my early fall favorite since the first time I ran into my favorite fellow blogger and she was wearing it at NYFW.  Trust me, you will love it.

I don't know about you all but I am looooving soaking up every single inch of summer, and it only just started, haha!  Seriously though, after three months of quarantine and an extra heavy work-at-home load, I am so happy to be basking here in the sunshine and doing all the "summer things".  If you are like me and enjoying getting back to life, then you are probably also wanting to pick up a few new summer essential pieces and add them to your rotation right now.  Since a lot of stores have not yet reopened for in-store shopping, I have everything we need right here at our pretty fingertips.  Summer sundresses, rompers, shorts and tees lead the way for me (have you noticed?) and sneakers and sandals are each daily must-haves.  They pair perfectly with everything you see here and always make my feet feel happy.  This pink pair just recently caught my eye as you guys know that I have such a soft spot for all things rosé.  A cute two-piece can never be beat and this ruffle topped one with the side sash bow is beyond sweet to me.  Can't you just picture it poolside or under a white coverup (love this one) out for a sail? So call me a romantic but this latest post was unapologetically inspired by one of those so-called sappy summer Hallmark movies, which I was completely enthralled to watch, haha.  Summer Villa told of an American writer and playboy chef, each uninspired by their day jobs and in need of some idyllic r & r.  Unbeknownst to each other, they end up sharing the same French villa and predictably, they fall in love.  Predictability aside, sometimes you just need to lose yourself in the vision of a feel good movie.

These pieces are some of my perfect picks for spending the summer in the French countryside.  I mean, could anything be better? Lavender fields, provencal landscapes and tranquility as far as the eye can see each play so beautifully with soft, earthy and romantic pieces like these.  French women know the impact of quality over quantity and how to make a few pieces work for you.  This simple front tie button down is one of those items you can reach for and wear in a multitude of ways.  I love it over a simple sundress, tied on top of paper bag waist pants or paired with a subtly sexy maxi skirt. These sandals are on my wishlist right now as they are a bit of a splurge.  These make for a very good dupe.  Simple accessories are another summer favorite.  This straw bag and wide brimmed hat are the perfect pair to take with you on a summer street stroll and to the farmer's market.  I'm also loving hair ties with all kinds of interest.  Scarf styled ones like this are perfect for the summer rotation.
