Summer days are the best days, I think we all likely agree.  And finding ways to look cute while staying cool is always a welcome discovery.  Well, I'm hopeful that I can help you out a bit with that today with some happy little bits you see pictured here.

Neutrals are always my must-loved essentials and make nearly ninety percent of my wardrobe.  This time of year, sun-washed denim and goldenrod colors somewhat lead the way in that category.  Something about the juxtaposition of the blue denim and warm amber hues instantly transports me to the colors of the  oceanside and tranquility of the beach.  I think that could be why I gravitate towards them so much at the minute.  

Whether you're deciding to dress them up or play them down, there's something here for everyone.  This dress is such fun and can easily pair with some low-top trainers for a casual day about town or become the perfect choice for patio bar drinks at sunset with some strappy sandals, a gold buckle bag, a nice pair of gold hoop earrings and a low bun that never minds the weather.

Long shorts are really resonating with me right now.  While the short versions have their place and time, there is just something so much more elegant about the extra bit of length that feels so right at the moment.  This ruffle-detailed top such a fun and feminine way to stay cool this summer.  I love it with these shorts and a pair of sneakers.  But, it could also pair so well with some floaty white linen pants and these nude colored sandals.

I'm truly a lover of seasons so, unlike so many, I actually enjoy cold weather and winter and am excitedly awaiting another opportunity for snow! Even if you are not a fan of winter whiteouts, chances are if you live somewhere that the temperature dips then you're going to want some cute ways to look adorable while staying warm.  Today's post is all about how to do that and these are a few of my top picks to help get you started.

I think we've all come to discover that cozy is the new...everything.  None of us want to let that go and happily we don't have to.  This jogger set is exactly what I'm reaching for on winter weekends or anytime I simply want chic comfort.  Speaking of that, these sneakers have been in my rotation for the past several months and I don't foresee that changing anytime soon, haha.  Pair them with a flattering puffer (yes, the do exist and this one is my fave), a fun pom pom beanie and these sunnies and you are ready for a laidback Saturday.

When venturing out and wanting to capture that chalet chic vibe, the Fairisle feel is my favorite choice.  This version is a modern take on the classic and the pink option makes it an easy choice for me, haha.  I also love this one in cream and black.  Jeans are always an important element of any casual look all year round and this pair is tried and true.  Easy to wear and perfectly put together looking equals the win-win.  Comfy slipper shoes for around the house and cozy snow boots for time outside are each the perfect complement to the whole look.  A roomy tote is always a must no matter where I'm going and Longchamp has some the best classic styles.  I'm especially fond of this beautiful grey one.  

Last but perhaps most important, I have come to find that journaling is not only a productive past time, it also helps clear the cobwebs and gets me thinking much more clearly and with purpose and focus which is something I am always happy to have.  This gorgeous pink one from Papier is a beautiful option for scribbling down those seemingly random thoughts that always somehow paint a very clear picture.  If you haven't gotten into this habit and want to clarify things in your life,  it is definitely something I highly recommend.

Christmas is one week away! Anyone else feeling excited? And while we all know that in keeping with the theme of this past year, the holiday will look different that also allows for a few changes to how we will all want to dress for it.  Some of us will stick with classic standbys.  Others will reach for a bit of something special and many will just want cozy comfort.  No matter which feel has your name on it this year, there are gorgeous ways to wear it.  

If you're looking for some at-home sparkle that looks incredible but still feels comfortable I love this champagne and black look.  This skirt is under $40 but looks like a million bucks.  I love it so many ways and the fact that you can wear it all year round make it a must-have for me.  I also love how versatile this cropped black turtleneck sweater is (wallet-friendly option here).  It works beautifully on top of this longline skirt, providing the perfect balance and can just as easily be the cutest topper with jeans and booties.

The preppy side of me loveeees everything J. Crew and this look show why.  How lovely would this plaid belted ruffle dress be on Christmas.  Simply styled with these flats and a festive headband and you are done in an understaded yet beautiful way.

Finally, with life being the way it is, so many of us have found ourselves reaching for casual looks over and over.  The holidays may not be so different from that and that is fine by me.  Comy and cozy do not have to mean sloppy or any less special.  In fact, with a few easy tips a casual look can be completely seasonal and spirited as it sets the mood.  A great sweater is always my cold weather favorite.  Try going for one in a cheerful holiday hue (just got this one delivered in the mail).  Or, take advantage of the uplighting effects ivory can have and go for a warm and toasty turtleneck style in that shade.  Flattering jeans pair great with either of these and since we're talking casual, I'm all for these ultra cozy slippers that make your feet so happy. Simple accessories (like these adorable bow earrings) round out the look with the just right touch of holiday cheer.

I was going through my closet the other day can to one resounding conclusion.  I've never met a neutral I didn't love.  From creams and ivories to cognacs and cocoas, it seems I can never have too many of the caramel, tan or cinnamon variety. 

Lucky for me, fall is all about such spiced neutrals along with their cozy counterparts aka sage, loden and smoke.  I don't quite know what it is but each of these colors stirs up notions of enjoying a cozy fireside and sipping a cup of cocoa and cream in me.

This sweater dress could be the perfect centerpiece of all things fall.  First of all the color is exactly right for pairing with warm autumn hues or seasonal plaids.  Tall or short boots would be equally wonderful depending upon your climate and how much skin can you comfortably bare.

This sweater is another favorite of mine.  The color, the feel and of course the shoulder detail make me a happy girl.  It's perfect for layering and works with jeans, a midi skirt or plaid trousers.  Love it all ways.

Warm and cozy accessories round things out so well.  How cute is this hat?  I know I usually favor the newsboy cap or a cute beanie but this one adds a new bit of interest to the look.  This scarf is one of my classic go-tos and has been a longtime favorite of mine.  I'm also strongly considering this bag.  I think it's absolutely gorgeous and can't imagine too many style scenarios it wouldn't be well-suited for.  Don't you agree? Haha.

These flats have become a fall favorite for me lately and all my sweaters and jeans agree.  Rose-gold and tortoise shell are romantic options that always complement the classics.  Maybe that's why I love them so.  Style that is simple yet stunning and chic will always have my heart.

July is known for many things...suntanned days, sultry nights, Calypso swing and cocktails under the stars.  Kinda hard to pick a true favorite out of that bunch, haha.  But honestly, who says we have to? For today, I am focusing on those hot summer nights.  And, even though this may not turn out to look or feel the same as the summers we're all used to, there are still so many ways to get creative and spend this time enjoying all the splendors of the season.  If you and your guy are wanting to take date night out on the patio or to the open air bar, you're also going to want some cute outfit options to choose from.  While typically, I am a dress and strappy sandals kinda girl, let's stray away from that thought just a little and embrace another cute possibility.  Statement tops are one option that can take you anywhere nowadays and this one checks all the boxes for me.  I love the unexpected color first off and of course I'm always all about the eyelet.  The off-the-shoulder option adds interest along with great date night appeal.  I also am adoring the sweet button detailing that finish it off with perfection. You could pair it with anything and everything from a flowing maxi skirt to hot white capris.  But since we're talking hot and sultry, these shorts might be the perfect unexpected partner.  I can see a really fun hair scarf, this bag and a sexy pair of sandals enjoying a tropical delight and great conversation right now, haha.  I am also so in love with this one piece and how adorable is this new straw hat I found?  They are definitely daytime go-tos for me.

States are slowly reopening and that has my mind focusing upon sunshine and smiles again.  Today I've gathered up some really cute pieces that'll have you looking cute and feeling happy.  This top is so adorable.  The sweet and dainty print is so feminine and the puffed sleeve and silhouette are ultra romantic.  Having spent so much time at home these past couple months, I've really gotten used to feeling comfy.  Can anyone relate? Haha!  So these shorts are the perfect pair to add to my closet right now.  The sandblast wash and longline are super fresh and will work so effortlessly with so many of my favorite spring and summer tops.  This handbag is the perfect new addition to the current rotation.  I love the rounded handle and color and the lambskin leather is perfectly elegant for everyday.  Wide leg pants are another great option for spring/summer dressing.  This pair is so versatile and loves to be paired with everything from cropped spring sweaters to tie front tops and just about everything in between.  Easy slides and great accessories (love these earrings and this headband) are the perfect finishing touches to this look and to almost any warm weather look.  It's almost summertime and the living is oh so easy.  Wishing you all a wonderful Monday!

Happy Thanksgiving Eve!  Ahhhh, it's one of my favorite nights of the year.  What could be better than festive baking, savory cooking, catching up with old friends and getting a glimpse of the upcoming parade?  Nothing, haha!  And whether you're hosting at home or traveling back to your childhood roots, everyone needs a great outfit.  These black and white combos will be just the thing to reach for amid the football, family and fun.  Pairing it with hints of caramel, burgundy or red will make it holiday ready and leave you looking sweet and chic.  This skirt and a sleek black turtleneck are great for a holiday hosted by the fashion girl.  Ankle boots, tights and a splash of red (yes, nails or lips do count!) will polish it off perfectly.  If you're looking for a less dressed option, these trousers and this top would be adorable.  Top off either look with this coat and you are the most well-dressed guest.

It's the most wonderful time the year....sweater weather!  Haha, well it's definitely one of them (and it leads in to the truly most wonderful time!).  Chilly mornings and what are becoming cooler afternoons make me so happy right about now.  Couple that with the fact that I am a true sweater girl and it's a major win-win.  Ever since the Nordstrom Anniversary sale this summer, I've been coveting and curating my sweater collection.  Today I'm sharing some of the favorites I've found as well as a few I've still got my eye on.  

Animal print has been huge so far this season and I've added in several pieces while infusing it throughout my closet (think shoes, belts, scarves and skirts, so fun!).  This one is easy and casual making it perfect for off duty days paired with high waisted black denim and some fun new sneakers (love these).  Texture is also having a bit of a moment right now and tiny pom poms are leading the way.  This cute little number is at the top of my list right now.  The colors, design and silhouette make it the perfect playful piece.  This one is also super sweet and the ivory color lets the detailing speak for itself.

Balloon sleeves, chunky knits and gorgeous colors round out the scene and are showing up everywhere.  This beautiful rose colored option is so gorgeous.  I love it on top of charcoal trousers,  paired with boyfriend denim and with sleek black leggings.  With mileage like that it is definite must-buy.
