Friday's in town and we're borrowing some style from the boys to celebrate the ocassion.  Straight-leg denim, cozy hoodies and oversized topcoats lead the way to laid-back style.  Here are the pieces I'm picking out to help welcome the weekend...


A TOPCOAT

It's still winter and even though I'm growing tired of wearing a parka or puffer, I still want to be warm.  Enter the topcoat.  This piece, borrowed from closet, is perfect for topping off any outfit right now.  This one comes in both black and camel.  Choosing your color is probably the hardest thing about it, haha. Either one will work with pretty much everything you own so go with your heart's desire! I love it on off duty days and with more feminine, dressed-up pieces alike.

THE HOODIE

Who doesn't love a soft, snuggly hoodie?  They really because a major part of the go-to uniform for so many of us over the past year and I honestly don't see them going anywhere as we head into spring.  Currently, you can wear it with your denim to style an easy casual look like this.  Then later on and as spring approaches, keep them nearby to toss one on over a tank and with your yoga pants or leggings as you head back outdoors and want to be more active.  I really loving this one featured above and this one from Zuda as well.

GREAT DENIM

Denim has forever been a constant in my closet for as far back as I can remember.  While it shared the spotlight (a lot) with softer, more relaxed bottoms recently, jeans are still something I will always love.  And with more flattering, easy to wear and affordable options than ever, I am still going to be shopping denim.  H&M has really come into the fold when it comes to this staple piece and I couldn't be happier about that.  From on trend silhouttes to sustainable options the choices are almost endless.  This pair currently has my eye.

SNEAKERS

You all know by now....I love my sneakers!  From Converse to Vans and everyyyything in between I am totally smitten, haha.  I received this pair for Christmas and love them.  Now, I am thinking about picking up another slightly different style by Veja for spring.  They are so cute, highly versatile and look fantastic with just about every easy outfit you can dream up.  I can't say enough about how great they are...I highly recommend them!

A STATEMENT BAG

Girls love bags.  This seems to be the case with everyone I talk to and being a bag lover myself, I can completely understand that!  Whether it's a tiny tote, easy crossbody or extra large catch-all, we all have a style that works for us.  With that, it makes sense to want to invest a little more in a bag that is going to be by your side, working overtime daily.  This gorgeous neutral one from Loewe would be the perfect neutral to work with so much of what you may already own.  Their craftsmanship is impeccable and it really is worth the splurge if you are looking to treat yourself to something special.  

ACCESSORIES

Accessories are one of my favorite things.  Yes, I know I have many but they really are those last little touches that add your personality to a look.  For me that means a chic hat (love this one), pretty makeup colors that polish instead of pretend and sunglasses.  You all know my go-tos by now but I must take a moment to recognize this pair of sunnies by Chloe.  They.Are.Gorgeous.  And I fell in love the minute I saw them.  Again, they are a bit of a splurge but if your sweetie is asking you if you want something new they are a great suggestion ;)

Now that things are finally starting to head back towards normal, is anyone else as excited as me? Haha, I can hear you all shouting from here!  But all kidding aside, it will be so nice to be able to go to some small gatherings and spend time outdoors doing fun things again at some point this summer.  If you have plans to attend a small wedding, host a bridal shower or celebrate....anything, then you might also be searching for the perfect dress to wear there.  These pretty picks I'm sharing today would be perfect for any and all of the above.  

I absolutely loveee this one.  I mean, it is gorgeous perfection from head to toe.  The statement sleeve  is eye-catching for sure.  The lace is demure with a subtle sexy vibe.  The hemline is perfect for all occasions and the open back detailing is what makes it a stunner coming and going.  Run don't walk to grab this one if you have anything special coming up.

Flashback to spring of my sophomore year in high school and the memory of my first two pairs of pumps in buttercup and lilac.  Needless to say, I was over the moon in shoe heaven.  Yes, it was likely a bit of an Easter parade moment but it was the start of my pastel obsession all the same.  I've been a soft color queen for as long as I can remember which is one of the many reasons I love spring.  And while bubble gum pink, turquoise and mint green have since been replaced with the more subtle shades of blush, sea glass and nude, I love the colors and the memories just the same.  There's also something ultra feminine about these colors.  From lips and eyes to handbags and heels, the beautiful possibilities are endless.  This monogrammed tote is probably the best example of that.  I designed this one to best capture the vibe I feel all summer with gentle taupes, blonde leather straps and a pink and white monogram.  If you're more of a nautical lover, trend setter or a classic girl, there are countless combos for everyone.  Not only that, the price points are unbelievably right...this one is under $200.  More great finds are linked below with plenty of inspo for soon to be spring.  Hope everyone is ready for the weekend...I know I am!  Wishing you all a fun Friday!

Flashback to spring of my sophomore year in high school and the memory of my first two pairs of pumps in buttercup and lilac.  Needless to say, I was over the moon in shoe heaven.  Yes, it was likely a bit of an Easter parade moment but it was the start of my pastel obsession all the same.  I've been a soft color queen for as long as I can remember which is one of the many reasons I love spring.  And while bubble gum pink, turquoise and mint green have since been replaced with the more subtle shades of blush, sea glass and nude, I love the colors and the memories just the same.  There's also something ultra feminine about these colors.  From lips and eyes to handbags and heels, the beautiful possibilities are endless.  This monogrammed tote is probably the best example of that.  I designed this one to best capture the vibe I feel all summer with gentle taupes, blonde leather straps and a pink and white monogram.  If you're more of a nautical lover, trend setter or a classic girl, there are countless combos for everyone.  Not only that, the price points are unbelievably right...this one is under $200.  More great finds are linked below with plenty of inspo for soon to be spring.  Hope everyone is ready for the weekend...I know I am!  Wishing you all a fun Friday!

Getting out in nature always brings new perspective and lends remarkable creativity to my thoughts.  Being lucky enough to live close by to several lovely parks, I love any chance I get to spend there taking in the sights.  Grabbing a few comfy essentials make it that much more fun.  A soft hoodie, great pair of cargo or jogger pants and distressed denim jacket are the perfect cute uniform for some time outdoors.  I also love this water bottle for so many reasons.  It is first off, so gorgeous to look at, loves the environment and keeps whatever I put in it the exact right temperature whenever I want to take a sip.  These glasses are also on my list.  Anyone who knows me knows I love my sunnies and this pair  is beautiful.  I always want a hardworking cross body by my side so I, don't have to.  This one is so versatile and I love how it effortlessly embraces both casual and fashion forward moments.

Is it just me or is date night one of the best nights of the week?  I know you mamas all probably agree (and you also likely don't get enough them, haha). But anyhow, whether you're married with littles or single and happily dating, you'll always want a great date night look ready at hand.  This look is perfect for that casual Friday night when you want to look pretty and feel girlie but still be comfortable  while you flaunt that sexy little vibe.  These colors and pieces get it all done.  This sweater is so flattering on all shapes and silhouettes and is as comfortable as it is cute.  Pair it with a curve-loving pair of "good jeans" and you're half way there.  Whoever said the devil is in the details didn't lie.  They can take an average outfit and make it date night worthy in a snap.  First, reach for a leather bag with a bit of gorgeous detailing like this one.  Carefully placed hardware and a chainlink strap take things from everyday day to dinner and drinks with zero effort.  Add a svelte shoe and a pretty faux fur jacket and you are nearly winter ready.  I love the thought of a playful little hat like this because of the way it adds the sweetest little bit of whimsy.  Don't forget a light mist of your favorite fragrance and a glistening swipe of ruby red lip color and be prepared to be adored.
