While summertime styles are plentiful from brights and white to pretty pastels, there is one color combination that really just works all year round and that is spectator style aka black and white.

There's something so eye-catching about this pairing that I always love no matter the season.  But in the warmer weather, there are several stylish ways to wear it.  So many, in fact that we may need more summer to spend a bit of time with them all, haha.  But really, there are so many ways to get your black and white fix.

This skirt is one of my favorite year round pieces.  During summer, you can easily wear it with a nice white tee, some trainers and a lovely headband like this one.  I also love it with a silk camisole, a pair of sandals and a smart blazer for a dinner date at sunset. 

White denim never gets old and always looks so chic with almost any piece you pair it with.  Here I've gone for a simple striped tank, a classic pair of Birkenstocks, some striking black sunglasses and a summery straw hat for a fun, casual daytime look.

Bits of brown in the form of this gorgeous bag here and some tortoise shell accessories always say summer to me as well and work rather nicely with this basic black and white story.  And with that, the look is complete.

Hello and happy Wednesday!  This week seems to be flying by which can be a good or bad thing I suppose, haha.  No matter how you might feel about that, our outfits need to keep up.  So with that, I thought I would put together a couple of nice summer outfits highlighting black and white.  This classic combination is such an easy look to style yet the results are so very chic and always a favorite for me.  Dressed up or down you simply cannot go wrong.

Then for a more casual look, I went for a pair of high-waisted almost balloon style white denim which can easily go in a million directions.  But, for today I've chosen this blouse to pair with them.  The feminine fabric and romantic ruffles add just the right touch of charm to the look.  Again, a pair of tan slides would easily work with this look along with the previously discussed accessories to pull it all together.

Everyday style is such an important part of one's personal style as it really becomes the focal point of your trademark look.  For me, neutrals, tried and true basics and classic pieces make up the major components of all the looks I tend to love. 

Thankfully, so many designers and several of my favorite stores tend to feature these very elements which could be why I love them so much.  But seriously, it is so very important to define one's personal preferences when it comes to style as that always makes getting dressed that much easier each day.

With that in mind, let's take a look at today's pieces.  Black and ivory are such iconic colors that pair beautifully together as well as with colors.  I tend to keep my color pops somewhat to a minimum these days but there's always room for some color expression should that be your desire.

This top is so perfect on quite a few levels.  I love the bit of a gathered neckline and the way it cleverly juxtaposes with the dolman sleeve.  Linen is such a lovely choice for spring and summer and the boxy, shorter shape pairs so well with many of the high-waisted trouser I find myself wearing.

Square toed-slides are something I'm absolutely loving and a style that flatters so many warmer weather looks.  A classic camel trench coat is another piece I just can't be without.  I love the versatility and how it can be  dressed up with a gorgeous going out outfit or worn super casual with trainers and jeans when that's what the moment calls for.

My Loewe bag is my spring/summer go-to as it is so easy and effortless and always looks so nice paired up with nearly everything this time of year.  A pair of gold earrings and in this case, dark sunglasses finish off the look so simply which I love.
