While it's true that I am a hardcore lover of neutrals all year round, there is just something so chic and smart about monochrome dressing winter. With hues of cream, ebony and most notably grey leading the way, it is safe to say that these looks have my full attention at the minute.

Today's look features a bit of all three done in such cosy, warm fabrics that you'll find yourself never wanting to take them off. And with winter being such long season, that is a very good thing. Chunky knits and roomy turtlenecks are some of my favorite picks for the time of year. H&M and & Other Stories do some really nice ones that fit well and work with a lot of the pieces I already own in my wardrobe.

Denim trousers bring a relaxed feel to the outfit while still allowing for a pulled together look when done in this darker wash. This pair can be worn now with all your favorite knits and transition to blouses and crisp shirts come springtime.

Added touches always make (or sometimes break) the look so tread lightly with your accessories if you want to create a true minimalist chic statement. I feel that these pieces so easily do that which is why I reach for them so often. This beanie by Ganni is so warm and snug. In fact, this entire line is quickly becoming one of my latest favorites. I definitely say it's worth a look if it isn't already on your radar.

Finish it all off by wrapping up in beautiful warm, wool coat that effortlessly ties the entire look together as opposed to covering it up like so many coats from yesterday. This one is gorgeous and can easily be worn casually as well as with more elevated looks.

Hello everyone and welcome back from the weekend. I hope you all enjoy a lovely two days off and are ready to begin the week now with a smile. So I suppose right now, it's all about the dress. And, of course, I don't mean the dress in a fussy way as none of us are ever likely to revisit that sort of dressing ever again. Rather, the dress meaning the easiest, chicest piece that captures all of the classic and timeless elements that all wardrobe staples should really embody.

I went with the black for today's look as I feel it is a welcome change from the barrage of white and cream that we are all about to be seeing from this minute onward. I do love a lot of white in my spring and summer wardrobe, however, this unexpected diversion is really quite nice.

There's so much to enjoy about this particular dress that I'm not quite sure where to begin. The flattering tiered skirting and gorgeous neckline look so very nice together with just the slightest bit of feminine detailing. It has a very easy fit and could easily be something you style casually or in a more elevated style depending upon where you are going.

I went for a more relaxed look here today by pairing these iconic Hermès sandals with it while lightening the look with a bit of white which I love in the warmer weather. A straw tote is another item I find myself wearing a lot in spring/summer as it is such a versatile piece that works really well with so many looks right now.

I love my gold jewelry and think that these hoops would pair perfectly with this outfit. A dark pair of sunglasses keep everything looking a bit mysterious and a delicate hair tie gets your hair to behave on the warmest of days.

Don't forget the indispensable need for a smart blazer to keep you comfortable on those nights when the air may carry a bit of a slight chill. And there you have it...a perfect way to enjoy the warmer days (and nights) ahead.

Hello and happy Monday! A return from the weekend always calls for a bit of something comforting yet stylish to begin the week in a fresh and open state of mind. And with warmer weather now approaching, I love reaching for some nice, easy layers that look sort of effortless yet chic and you can easily remove as temperatures take off.

Midi skirts are really what I find to be an underutilized piece that almost every wardrobe could get a lot of use out of. I'm not sure why they are under the radar as much as they are but in any case, I happen to love them in bold color-blocked patterns like this one I'm styling here.

The black and cream colors are perfect for anytime of year quite honestly but of course, I'm thinking about styling it for spring right now. So with that being the goal, a classic white t-shirt goes to work perfectly with this look. I love it tucked in allowing for the waist to be showen off a bit. And, if there is still as slight chill in the air, then an oversized denim jacket is the just right complement to the overall look. I happen to think this one works not only with this particular outfit but it would also be one you could wear with some straight, high-waisted white or cream denim as well as shorts if the weather called for it.

As you know by now, I love trainers with just about everything nowadays and this look really works well with them to give it a very laid back and casual sort of feel. A seek low bun, my favorite sunnies of the moment and some gold hoops would finish the look off in grand style.

Friday's in town and we're borrowing some style from the boys to celebrate the ocassion. Straight-leg denim, cozy hoodies and oversized topcoats lead the way to laid-back style. Here are the pieces I'm picking out to help welcome the weekend...

A TOPCOAT

It's still winter and even though I'm growing tired of wearing a parka or puffer, I still want to be warm. Enter the topcoat. This piece, borrowed from closet, is perfect for topping off any outfit right now. This one comes in both black and camel. Choosing your color is probably the hardest thing about it, haha. Either one will work with pretty much everything you own so go with your heart's desire! I love it on off duty days and with more feminine, dressed-up pieces alike.

THE HOODIE

Who doesn't love a soft, snuggly hoodie? They really because a major part of the go-to uniform for so many of us over the past year and I honestly don't see them going anywhere as we head into spring. Currently, you can wear it with your denim to style an easy casual look like this. Then later on and as spring approaches, keep them nearby to toss one on over a tank and with your yoga pants or leggings as you head back outdoors and want to be more active. I really loving this one featured above and this one from Zuda as well.

GREAT DENIM

Denim has forever been a constant in my closet for as far back as I can remember. While it shared the spotlight (a lot) with softer, more relaxed bottoms recently, jeans are still something I will always love. And with more flattering, easy to wear and affordable options than ever, I am still going to be shopping denim. H&M has really come into the fold when it comes to this staple piece and I couldn't be happier about that. From on trend silhouttes to sustainable options the choices are almost endless. This pair currently has my eye.

SNEAKERS

You all know by now....I love my sneakers! From Converse to Vans and everyyyything in between I am totally smitten, haha. I received this pair for Christmas and love them. Now, I am thinking about picking up another slightly different style by Veja for spring. They are so cute, highly versatile and look fantastic with just about every easy outfit you can dream up. I can't say enough about how great they are...I highly recommend them!

A STATEMENT BAG

Girls love bags. This seems to be the case with everyone I talk to and being a bag lover myself, I can completely understand that! Whether it's a tiny tote, easy crossbody or extra large catch-all, we all have a style that works for us. With that, it makes sense to want to invest a little more in a bag that is going to be by your side, working overtime daily. This gorgeous neutral one from Loewe would be the perfect neutral to work with so much of what you may already own. Their craftsmanship is impeccable and it really is worth the splurge if you are looking to treat yourself to something special.

ACCESSORIES

Accessories are one of my favorite things. Yes, I know I have many but they really are those last little touches that add your personality to a look. For me that means a chic hat (love this one), pretty makeup colors that polish instead of pretend and sunglasses. You all know my go-tos by now but I must take a moment to recognize this pair of sunnies by Chloe. They.Are.Gorgeous. And I fell in love the minute I saw them. Again, they are a bit of a splurge but if your sweetie is asking you if you want something new they are a great suggestion ;)

Classic outwear is such a closet staple come this time of year. Whether we're talking about a chic little blazer, biker style moto or belted coat, there are so many fun and well-styled ways to wear them. Today I'm highlighting one of my favorites, the wool trenchcoat. Now, not only is this a gorgeous piece, when you turn to it in the color navy, all bets are truly off.

For whatever reason, navy blue never seems to get its due love or admiration. Perhaps, a lot of us really do enjoy this color and it doesn't need a lot of bells and whistles. Or maybe it is just naturally a quiet classic. Either way, I do adore it and that is why I've chosen to design several ways to wear it here today.

Okay, so since this is a classic coat, it is quite fitting that we first put together some classic, dare I say preppier, pieces to first go with. This sweater has been seen here before. That in itself is suggestive of a tried and true piece that pays you back with each wear. And, with every great classic sweater comes the perfect partner...a flattering pair of jeans. Is it just me or has denim gotten really, really good (make that great) lately? I suppose that is a whole other post but I digress, haha.

So, jeans are such a wonderful partner in crime to nearly every look there is. Whether it's an autumn take like this one or a springtime feel of a t-shirt and sneakers. Jeans always work. And work well. This look is no exception.

The navy wool coat agrees and the proof is right there in the lovely way these few simple pieces take things down that classic cobblestone road. Simple stripes, neutral colors and a pair of classic sunglasses make for quite an effortless look.

But, there are days when we may want to change the vibe up a bit and happily, this coat can handle that. So for example, you may find that you're in the mood for something a little more sporty, say a comfy hoodie perhaps. This one is ultra-soft and I may want to warn you that once you slip into it, you may find yourself not wanting to ever take it off. That's okay really, because like I said, this dream coat doesn't care. It's up for almost anything.

I love the look of a hoodie peeking out from beneath a great trench. And black denim always takes the lead role once again in bottoms here with this look. Then when it comes time to accessorize, I think that a fun little beanie (love this one), a classic check scarf and a sporty crossbody round out the whole look. Of course, these sneakers are one of my favorite pairs. I love them so much with so many of the looks I enjoy creating. And I just happen to think that they work wonders with this autumn outfit above.

I don't know why I’m so drawn to neutrals but if you’re anything at all like me then you know exactly what I’m talking about. There’s something just so inexplicably elegant about a simple palette that has kept women coming back to it time after time. And, it's fair to say that I am most definitely one of them.

So, when it comes to curating a neutral palette wardrobe, there are a few things to keep in mind. First off, you need to ask, "Am I a warm-toned neutral lover or is my preference more of that of a basic black and white vibe?" Now, a true artist might disagree with me in that black and white aren't considered neutrals whereas they aren't colors at all. But, for the purpose of our work here, black and white are most definitely neutrals.

If you find yourself loving those warmer neutral tones like amber, cognac, khaki, wine, wheat, and ivory then this is most certainly your time of year. If you are more of a black, white, smoke, heather and charcoal lover then you must be uber chic and absolutely loving that it is October, the month in which theses color schemes take flight. Either way, it is a win-win and I find myself filling my closet with items from both camps and never looking back.

For today, however, I have put the focus upon the black and white scenario. I honestly don't know if I love anything more than a really good black sweater. Chunky, well-knit, oversized and, of course, complete with a cozy turtleneck, this piece will take you into fall and straight through winter will multiple ways to wear it.

One way I love, a lot, is pairing it with a creamy or perhaps tan pair of trousers. The feel is ultra-comfortable and the look is completely chic to me. And, while you can always slip on a great pair of flats or ankle boots, I personally love the unexpected twist of styling it with a nice pair of sneakers. This allows you to wear the look not only to work during the week but to later dress it down with trainers for those more relaxed or off duty moments on the weekend.

Right now, you can get away with topping it with a menswear-inspired jacket like this blazer before the weather turns to terribly cold and chilly. I also suggest this bag to help finish off the look. While it is a bit of a splurge, I feel it is worth every penny as it can be put together with an endless number of looks and wears like a dream.

Well hello! Welcome to midweek everyone. With the way life has been lately, it's no secret that we have all officially transitioned into full-time lowkey looks. Meaning that our day to day wear is much less fussy and way more comfortable.

With that being the case, I've put together a list of one of my favorite things for these times and always...denim. Yes, jeans really can be a girl's best friend. Especially if one knows which type is their type if you know what I'm saying. And yes, there definitely is a pair for every body.

Today I've rounded up the five styles I think will work for each of you in one form or another. So, while not everyone wants to wear the latest trend in denim, everyone can find a pair that they will absolutley love.

That being said, let's start with the one style that I think everyone can love and that is The Boyfriend Jean. Now whether you are wearing them to enjoy some off duty time or you want to contrast them with some really chic and girlie favorites, this pair of jeans can take on all of that. This is my favorite from the brand Madewell. They're just so soft, worn in and not to mention, ultra comfortable. I feel like I've simply been living in them lately.

I've also fallen madly in love with the next style known as the high-waisted. I never thought I'd ever love this style even half as much as I do. But trust me, the love affair is real. And, they love you right back. The way the hug and hold you in all the right places, lengthen the legs and trim the tummy are just a few reasons I adore them. They also love to be paired with practically everything I own which makes for a very good wardrobe day. This pair is highly recommended.

The next style is one that's been seen for quite some time now and it seems to have had a rather tumultuous relationship with some women. I think this is a pair you either love or hate and it is the skinny jean. At first glance, this sort of cut can easily scare off just about anyone with its slim skinny legs and teeny tiny waist. But, so many brands have realized this and have since begun creating them with the softest of stretch fabrics and the most forgiving of seaming that they are much more like a familiar pair of well-worn leggings which we are all rather cozy with. This pair is my personal favorite of the moment.

Now for a style I've also been known to wear...a lot. The stovepipe jean. This style has it all and can go in any direction you need it too. I feel like it is the most classic of all of these mentioned and I love it paired with my favorite classic pieces. The fact that they have a high rise help a lot as it gives the body that gorgeous hourglass figure whether you naturally have one or not, haha. If you're thinking of giving the look a try, then I would suggest trying on this pair. They are soft, flattering and you guessed it, pretty much perfect.

And last I want to mention a style that took me a little longer to love. But once I did, I never looked back. The basic button fly is honestly, a classic look that had gone unrecognized for quite some time now. I see it making somewhat of a comeback, however, and think that it can be a very fun and casual look in a way the others are not. When pairing it with your favorite sneakers, a loose-fitting knit, your crossbody bag and a pair of sunnies, you are casually set for a great day of play.

States are slowly reopening and that has my mind focusing upon sunshine and smiles again. Today I've gathered up some really cute pieces that'll have you looking cute and feeling happy. This top is so adorable. The sweet and dainty print is so feminine and the puffed sleeve and silhouette are ultra romantic. Having spent so much time at home these past couple months, I've really gotten used to feeling comfy. Can anyone relate? Haha! So these shorts are the perfect pair to add to my closet right now. The sandblast wash and longline are super fresh and will work so effortlessly with so many of my favorite spring and summer tops. This handbag is the perfect new addition to the current rotation. I love the rounded handle and color and the lambskin leather is perfectly elegant for everyday. Wide leg pants are another great option for spring/summer dressing. This pair is so versatile and loves to be paired with everything from cropped spring sweaters to tie front tops and just about everything in between. Easy slides and great accessories (love these earrings and this headband) are the perfect finishing touches to this look and to almost any warm weather look. I don't know where the notion started or why some people feel this way, but so often I will hear women say they can't be bothered "getting all dressed up". And while our society has definitely moved away from a formal affair when it comes to the way we dress, there is no reason you and your OOTD can't be cute and easy to achieve. Maybe it's just me (but fellow gal pals who feel the same way have me thinking it's not!) but I absolutely love the chance to pull pieces from my closet and put together a bunch of cute looks. Whether it's date night, a business meeting or, as is the case nowadays, just a trip to the grocery store, there are so many simple and easy ways to look and feel your best. From denim to dress up, it can always be achieved. Since so many of us have few places we can go right now, I chose a simple chic vibe for today's look. Easy denim, classic footwear, staple accessories and a hot swipe of color all pull together to create this look. Now that spring is finally here (yay!), I find myself reaching for cute jackets like this one. I love how you can easily dress them up or down and work them into so many of the outfit building pieces we each already own. Always a sucker for classic glam, this bag and these sunnies are two pieces I can't do without, They work all year round and are especially on point here. I also love these sneakers and how you can wear them not only with a look like this but later pair them with a fun skirt, easy tee and a denim jacket and you are done. This lipstick color is my absolute favorite of all time. I love how fresh and alive it makes my face look. Last, grab a fun little accessory like this head wrap (which is so forgiving of second...or third day hair, haha) or these earrings and your outfit is complete. How easy is that?
