TGIF!  Time for the weekdays to roll into the weekend and your closet loves the change of pace.  Even though the world has become so much more relaxed, the weekend will always still bring with it another level of laidback.

But, if you've come to know me then you'll not be surprised that there is always still some element of getting dressed in every look I put together.  Always, haha.  So let's dive into this one a bit deeper to see which elements can be combined to create the perfect off-duty uniform.

The cornerstone of any really great transitional outfit to me is the trench coat.  And, while the classic camel version is iconic for sure, I am also a huge fan of the navy version.  While it can be a bit harder to come by, if you can get your hands on a nice one, I suggest you grab it and go.

This one from Hobbs London, is a particular lovely fit with some nice double-breasted buttoning, classic gun flaps and epaulettes it makes for such a nice option rain or sunshine.  Shorter overshirt styles like this one also play nicely with those relaxed weekend looks.

Either one pairs well with classic stripes like this jumper and a dark wash pair of denim.  Both navy loafers and classic white trainers can pair back with this look alongside a gorgeous leather handbag.  I'm getting ready to unbox this one over the weekend.

These time-honored sunglasses and some nice gold hoops will complete the look and have you ready for what ever fun the weekend will bring.  Hope everyone enjoys their downtime and dressing for it!

Summer shoe season is finally here and I for one am just so happy about that.  I've recently been getting a lot off questions about which pairs to pick up right now so I decided to dedicate today's post to my current favorites at the minute.

Sandals are by far the most popular choice for so many of us right now and square-toed slip ons are my first choice as we speak.  Whether you go for a nude, blush or classic tan color, I really don't think you can go wrong with this style as it so easily dresses up or down.  I love them with a nice summer skirt, pair of summer trousers or even some lovely tailored Bermuda shorts.

Double strap slides are a new look for me this season and I am absolutely loving them.  The classic Birkenstock was something I once abhorred and suddenly, I can't get enough of them.  This pair is one I highly recommend as the color works so well with so many of the belts and sunglasses a lot of us already own and wear throughout the summer.  I also think this pair would be very nice worn with some wide leg cropped pants in a really flowly fabric and a flattering tank top all in the same color.  Add in some interest with a nice headband and some classic gold earrings and you are all set.

No shoe set would be complete, however, without mention of my year-round favorite, the trainer.  Every season requires at least a couple pairs to round out the looks you'll be wearing.   As you may know, I am a big fan of Veja and Adidas as they just seem to have a really nice profile that wears so well with much of what I tend to reach for.  This pair is especially nice for summer as the soft shades easily complement the lighter colors we tend to be wearing.  I also love my Stan Smiths for their classic all-American kinda feel.

What are some of your favorite summer styles?  Let me know and we can compare notes, haha.  I hope everyone's having a lovely Wednesday in June.  Enjoy it!

Casual Friday has taken on a whole new meaning lately but that doesn't mean things must be sloppy and sad.  Rather I quite the opposite can be so and today's look easily shows us why.  I love nothing more than a great navy jacket come springtime.  The color is just so incredibly rich, it comes in the loveliest of fabrics and it is so simple to wear in a gorgeous number of ways.

Today I'm pairing it with a light wash pair of high-waisted denim from Topshop.  I love the mix of high and low looks and the way they create an effortlessly chic look that's always perfectly polished.

Layering is a key essential come springtime and jackets and tees are one easy way to do it.  This blazer is a much-loved go-to for me all season long.  I love it worn just about every way imaginable.  A smart short-sleeved white turtleneck pairs easily and well as you can never go wrong with this color combination.

Warm the look up a bit with a buttery caramel or tan handbag and some bits of gold jewelry.  This look can carry a larger bag as its hint of masculinity isn't easily overpowered.  For a bit of balance, I love to add a pretty, feminine headband and a timeless pair of sunglasses.  Finish the look with a pair of white trainers (love these) and your casual Friday look is finished.

If you want a closer look at any of the pieces mentioned, I've linked them below.  I hope everyone is ready for the weekend.  I know I am! Cheers!!

Hello spring!  I'm thrilled that gentler days have arrived and have decided there is no better way to welcome them in than with a collection of new spring dresses ready for the season.  No matter your style or shape, a gorgeous dress is a flattering piece that absolutely everyone can wear and look beautiful doing so.

You all know my love of neutrals and that really doesn't change come spring/summer but I will say that this is the one time of year that I do tend to add a bit more color to my everyday outfits usually in form of blush, blue and sage greens.  These dresses embrace all of those choices and look really nice for spring.  They are also so very flattering on so many skin tones and I love that.

This belted shirt dress is a great place to start.  I love the pin-striped detailing and the way it is the perfect day dress for sure.  I would style it with everything from white trainers to tan mules depending where I am going that day.  Right now pair it with an oversized denim jacket and said sneakers and then some gold jewelry and open toe sandals moving forward.

Floral dresses get a lot of attention in springtime and I really love that.  Just a bit of a softly muted flowery  fabric shouts spring and is something I think we've all been waiting for.  I'm really liking these relaxed fit styles with a bit of a balloon sleeve as they look really nice in springtime.  Again, a classic square-toe mule or strappy sandal would both work equally well with this style dress and give it a fresh look and feel for the season.

Of course, I can't forget to mention polka dots as a part of this collection as they are a classic print for springtime.  I tend to gravitate towards black and cream options and this dress would show why.  I love the easy flow of it and would be so happy styling it with some white sneakers for a modern easy look.

Denim dresses are always a spring staple and this one has caught my eye.  I love the shape and the deep neckline and would say that it would look great belted and paired with a straw tote and white trainers for such an easy spring look.

No spring collection would be complete without some cream colored dresses to round out your options.  This is one of my favorites at the moment with its gathered waist, gentle sleeves that are slightly puffed and balanced silhouette.  There's really nothing it wouldn't be perfect for as you can dress it up with a bit of gold jewelry and a nude heel or make it more daytime appropriate with a flat sandal and over the shoulder cardigan for a bit of warmth.

So if you need to refresh your closet with a few new feminine pieces that are perfect for springtime, I think these are some perfect options for doing that.  Hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful spring day!

Ever since the spring when we all began finding new ways to stay sane and keep it normal, our workout routines have taken on a whole new feel.  Working out from home is always a little more pleasurable when your gym outfit makes you feel cute.  Am I right?! These pieces are all perfect for the home gym, running around the neighborhood or simply just lounging around at home and looking like you worked out, haha.  I love the new patterns, pretty colors and ultra comfy feel these all have.  I also love that almost everything you see here is included in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale happening now (more details here).  So whether it's a great pair of booty shaping leggings, chic sneakers or cozy sweatshirt you want, these will have you covered.  Right now, I'm grabbing this pair of leggings and these cute sneaks before they are gone.  So many pieces I want already sold out (ughhhh) but there are great items still available for now.  If you see anything you like, I have made the shopping easy and linked them for you in the thumbnails below.

If you have found any pieces you all love (workout or otherwise!) at the Nsale that I have not yet mentioned, please let me know!  I never like to miss out, haha.

Thanks for sharing this part of your day with me...see you when the weekend rolls around!

I'm certainly not a girl who camps (over even one who glamps for the most part) but when your sweetie has cabin fever and wants to spend time outdoors, a hike can be a great place to roam free.  Here in the tri-state area, there are tons of beautiful spots that offer a feel of the wilderness without ever having to go all that far.  With hot and humid days like we've been having, however, answering the question of "what to wear?" takes a little more practice.  This tie front camisole is a perfect topper over shorts or your favorite leggings.  A cute tank would also be perfect as a topper for these distressed shorts.  Sure footing is definite must-have whenever you're navigating tricky terrain and these sweet sneaks would be adorable.  A baseball cap (love this classic) and strong sunnies are always my most-loved ways to top things off.  Just like that, we are ready to take a hike!  Of course, you'll want an ultra effective sunscreen to protect you from the day's rays.  This one is my favorite.

What do you all have planned for this July weekend?  Whatever you are doing, enjoy the moment!

Hello beauties and happy Monday!  I'm here to hopefully help you start the week on happy note.  What better way to do that than with a lovely little nod to spring?  While autumn is my all time favorite time of year, spring is a pretty close second.  With its soft, serene skyline and gentle watercolor brushstrokes, I feel like I'm living in a painted Parisian paradise.  Ah, could there be anything better? I didn't think so, haha.  But honestly, the colors of the season are so happy and joyful and deserve some love shown their way.  I've loved pastels since I met them and spring makes it easy to incorporate them into my wardrobe.  This spring sweater and these well-worn jeans are the perfect shades of blue.  I love the sense of calm they bring.  I'm also a huge fan of all things pink....oh, have you noticed?  Whether it's a running shoe, shade of lipstick or luxurious body polish, I am always all in.  A thoughtful splash of ivory, and a few well placed pops of gold or silver round out those spring vibes and leave you looking as fresh as a daisy!

Can you all believe that Easter is almost here?  It will have a very different kind of a feel for so many of us this year. I'm finding though that through all of this and the unfortunate events of the world right now, we are all finding those silver linings and becoming more and more appreciative of the little things along the way.  Hoping you feel the same!

It's workout Wednesday, who's ready to meet at the barre?  Even if you don't hit the gym regularly, it's no secret that everybody loves those athlesuire looks.  From Lulu's to Nike's there are a million reasons to enjoy these comfort clothes.  These joggers are example number one.  They're cozy and chic and work at home, doing errands and to and from the gym.  Top them with a soft sweater or this puffer to get you going and keeping warm.  A cute beanie tops off any athleisure look for me.  Love this one.  Don't forget a great pair of sneakers.  Honestly, I find that they can elevate any look right now.  With so many chic styles, I'm finding that sneakers are slowly replacing boots in my closet!  Round it all out with a casual feeling backpack (I love reaching for this one), pretty Fitbit and great water bottle to keep your water drinking goals in check.  Ah, easy fashion feels so good!

What workouts are you enjoying so far this year?  I have to say, spin and barre are still my favorites which is why I stay consistent with my routine I guess, haha.  That and the cute looks I can wear.  Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone!

It's the most wonderful time of the year, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is finally here!  Haha, I'm only half kidding because if you're at all fashion girl then you know what I mean.  Every July Nord's rolls out their first look at fall which is exciting enough on its own but what's better is they drop prices lower than most end of season clearance sales...on NEW merchandise!  The only trick, you have to be fast in order to score the items you want before they are GONE.  And I do mean super quick as some things sell out within minutes of going live on the website.  So, with that being the case here are the pertinent details you'll need to get what you love.

Shop early and shop often.  If you want in on the sale right now before it goes live to the public "the card is the key" as they say.  Simply head on over to the Nordstrom website where you can sign up to be a cardholder and you will gain early access to the sale and all its savings.  What I love about being one (and there are many) is that I can use my Nordstrom debit card to make my purchases and earn rewards points.  These then equate into twenty dollar notes which can multiple and be spent on future purchases and because I requested a debit card, any all all money I spend comes right out of my checking account so now debt accumulates.  If, however, you'd rather it not work that way then you can request the Nordstrom credit card and pay it off at a pace you're comfortable with.  Either way you still get all the perks and never miss out on what's going on.

So, these are some of the items I picked up over the weekend.  While I happen to be one of those people who loves to look, see and feel it in person, I suggest you shop the sale online right now to first see if the items you want are currently available.  And, if you like it, I suggest you get it because you can always return it (Nordstrom's return policy is unmatched, another reason I love shopping with them).  This sweater was one I knew I had to have from the moment I saw it, haha.   Well, in other words, I really liked it.  Unfortunately, it is currently sold out but I'm hoping they'll restock for the 19th when the sale goes live tp the public.  This Coach bag is the perfect shade for all year round and especially for autumn.  I love the shape and style and how well it will go with so many of these cute styles.  This Michele watch is so pretty and you can start wearing it right now in this color combination.  The clothes aren't the only items worth scoping up right now.  The beauty deals are some of the best I've seen in recent years of the sale.  This lipstick set from Charlotte Tilbury is her best seller duo for a sweet steal.  I'm also in love with these colors in this MAC palette.  Cannot wait to wear these!  More of my beauty picks will be on the blog later this week so stay tuned.  Until then you can shop the links below right now if you have the card or wait for the sale to go live to the public on July 19th.  Get the details here!

Hope everyone is having a great Monday and looking forward to a wonderful week ahead.  Thanks for sharing the start of it with me! You guys are the best!!

Summer Fridays are a special breed and probably my favorite.  They are also extra sweet when it means we are all heading into an upcoming holiday week!  Red, white and blue options are going to be on everyone's mind and these are some of the cutest I've found.  Solids are always so simple and chic.  The classics aka navy, white and red are iconic for a reason and that is because they work on everyone.  From monochromatic to color-blocked looks, when you choose these you'll be completely ready for summer fun.  I also feel like gingham is the unofficial pattern of choice this time of year.  From small accessories to sweet sundresses, this pattern has quite a following.  Its cute, Americana feel makes it easy to see why.  Sandals, sneakers, handbags and lip colors all come to play in these various patriotic  palettes as well.  This pair and these pom poms are two of my current faves.

There are so many cute options right now and plenty of places to wear them.  Where is everyone headed for the Fourth?  I'll be enjoying my traditional family barbecue bookended by trips to the beach.  Whatever you're doing, I hope you have a great time!  Have a wonderful weekend!!

Happy Tuesday!  How was everyone's long weekend?  I don't know about you but I always find that a long weekend in the middle of January is always a welcome treat especially when the cause is a good one.  Thank you to all those who leave room to open their minds and fill their hearts!  The gray days of January have me cozied up and enjoying time by the fire.  They also inspire me to embrace the shades of the season and that means the shades of gray.  These pieces are some of my favorites right now and each one can be mixed or matched with the others for a chic little winter look.  I'm especially loving these camo leggings and these sneakers for a little gym time.  This off the shoulder sweater is what I reach for on date night.  It's demure yet alluring all the while being oh-so cozy.  This throw is perfect for fireside cocoa and these booties are the perfect accent to any of these picks.

If you're out there feeling winter's bitter chill like we are on the east coast stay warm! With all these cute ways to do it, it really isn't so bad, haha.  Have a great Tuesday everyone!

November has arrived in style and that pre-holiday buzz is definitely in the air.  While the holidays are hands down my most favorite time of year, I really love to savor the early weeks of November and all the fall flavor and feels that come with them.  Blazing colors, roaring fires, nesting and the warmth of Thanksgiving time make me so happy.  These pieces all speak to that cozy feel of right now. Nutmegs, creams and cinnamon spice all play beautifully with charcoal and blacks much like those showing up in nature itself.  Rich, lush fabrics and classic autumn patterns are all a part of the wonderful tapestry.  Add in a little bit of sweetness with a great body lotion underneath it all and you are ready for all the current fall feels.  Hope you're enjoying autumn as much as I am....See you all on Wednesday!

Happy Wednesday!  This week has gotten off to a great start for me and I hope it has for you too!  Some exciting changes will be taking place here at Chic Saturday and I'm so excited to share them with you all in the upcoming weeks!  Right now, I'm enjoying the last several weeks of summer before the fall rolls in.  And even though the calendar still says August and we're all having our fun in the sun, that doesn't mean my wardrobe picks don't hint at what's next.  This camo jacket is perfect for right now paired with denim shorts, sneakers and a baseball cap.  Then wear it through cooler days with a black turtleneck or over a hoodie paired with distressed denim and sneakers (loving these).  Makeup colors are still turing up roses right now.  This lipstick is understated and sexy making it the perfect option for almost any day.  Currently, I'm wearing this pink polish and loving the subtle bit of shimmer this beauty brick gives me.  What about all of you?  What are your current end of summer loves?

With each season there comes a certain je ne said quoi that marks its place in time.  Summer of course is no exception.  From denim in all varieties to the LWD, the season has immense style.

This year I feel like I've become a big fan of styling shorts as an outfit's focal point.  From casual denim cutoffs to sweetly chic bow-tied waist versions, shorts can take you anywhere.  This pair topped with a crisp white blouse, sexy espadrille and easy straw hat says European local without every having to set foot on a plane.

Paper bag styles have also been especially cute.  I have this pair that looks great with a tank and sneaks along with these that are just so casual and comfy.

Tie front blouses are also a major player in these hot months.  I personally love a classic white option for its ease and versatility.

Midi skirts and tennis shoes topped with a cuffed sleeved denim jacket are another fun go-to for now.  I see them come together as the perfect farmer's market look or just an easy way to run errands.

A great pair of sunnies and the perfect straw bag naturally complete each and any of these looks.  You can use the thumbnails below to shop your favorites.  Hope everyone is having a wonderful Wednesday!

Sporty chic is such fun concept.  It takes flirty, feminine details and marries them with classic sporty options creating a laid-back feel that looks like way more effort than you really put in.  The way to build it is probably waiting in your closet right now.  A few key pieces are all you need.  For starters, a denim jacket cannot only be a major player in this look but it can also round out so many of your spring and summer looks.  Try to find one that's a nice combo of denim and elastin that's going to both hug the body and be comfortable to move in.  This one is my favorite and on steady rotation in my closet.  Accessories are what make any outfit what it is whether that's off-duty or date worthy.  My latest obsession?  The backpack.  This piece is the perfect answer to hands free everything without sacrificing anything you need.  A fun hat, pretty sunglasses and a really great pair of sneaks are all you need to turn any look sporty.  Add in some pretty details and you are all set to be a good sport.  What's your favorite way to combine looks that lead to your perfect style?  I'd love to know!
