Going, going, almost gone....if you haven't scored any steals (or even if you have!) your chance to claim these NSale goodies is almost over.  The pre-fall frenzy is about to end but hopefully not before you get the chance to refresh your closet with something special.  From beauty's best buys to handbag heaven, there's something for everyone and then some.  While yes, it's true many of the very best deals have sadly sold out, there are still plenty of items that are ready and waiting.  These over-the-knee suede boots were one of my first purchases when the sale went live.  I bought them in the caramel color as it works so beautifully with the rich burgundies, greys, chocolates and creams I tend to wear once the weather turns crisp.  I also fell in love with this watch for nearly the same reason and especially loved the square face as it is definitely different from anything I own.  These candles are some of my favorites and I love lighting them on the daily all season long.  I also couldn't live without this little gem and all the wonderful things it does for my skin.  I highly recommend you give it a try.  I've linked these items, along with so many of my other faves, for you below.  I hope your Friday is off to a great start....Enjoy the weekend everyone!

Happy Monday! It's been a fashion filled start to the month freshly kicked off by New York Fashion Week.  Today's post is a bit inspired by urban chic and the much-loved NYC street style.  This fatigue cargo vest is so versatile and one of my faves for fall. Easy to pair and perfect for layering, this closet staple is a must-have for now and the weeks to come.  Try working it together with a plaid blouse (love this one), these black skinnies and this sandal for the perfect transitional look.  As the temps cool down, I'll be topping my denim love with these ankle boots and this amazing cashmere poncho and a swipe of this rich lip color.  When night rolls around I'm also loving this little set under a cozy robe (can't get enough of this one!).  Hope these pieces help inspire your "What to Wear" moments for the weeks ahead.  Have a beautiful day everyone!

What better way to start a Monday than with sweet dreams of a Tahitian holiday?  Summer is not far away and many of us are already busy planning our vacations in paradise.  Maybe you can't take off to the islands just yet.  So, why not dress as if you are already there.  This multicolor silk geo-print tunic dress by Issa is the perfect piece to get you in the Tahitian mood.  I love the colors and slightly mod 60's feel.  So chic!  This one from Calypso St. Barth is equally gorgeous and perfect with these warm neutrals.  These sandals would pair perfectly with either one and are a steal (at under $50!).  I've been looking for a watch,  for what feels like forever now, and this one has recently caught my eye.  I love the larger round face and the rich leather band that plays so perfectly with everything from neutrals to denim.  This white Topshop denim skirt needs to find its way into my lineup pronto.  Nothing's better than summer white, so crisp, fresh and ready for color!  Don't forget to grab a great little pair of cocoa colored sunnies and an adorable topper.  Just like that you're ready for cocoa butter and rum… Shop these pieces and more below as you get ready for that fun in the sun.  Happy Monday!

For as long as I can remember I've been a pink girl.  If you're one of them, you know exactly what I mean.  Back then, of course, it was mostly shades of the baby, pastel and bubblegum variety.  Now, I just can't get enough of the grown-up girl versions aka blush, shell and nude.  The romantic feel just never gets old.  Today I put together some of my current color crave favorites for spring.  From this ultra-feminine lace stitch dress to this sweet little Parisian inspired tee, all these choices speak to my love of all things girlie.  While some of these items are splurge-worthy  {yes, that dress!} others are surprisingly affordable {hello French tee and oversized scarf}.  What I really love most though is the way they pair so easily with denim, white and even black, all great colors now appearing in my closet.

I hope you all had a beautiful weekend and are ready to enjoy the wonderful week ahead!

GET THE LOOK: Kat Tanita of With Love From Kat

Loving fashion is something we all do.  Finding ways to express trends in ways that speak to who we are is having style.  Combining both is priceless.  If you feel like the latest looks are fabulous on someone else but never something you can pull off, I've got great news for you.  You can take a look you love and make it one you'll love wearing by remembering a few simple key ideas.

GET THE LOOK

Identify What Caught Your Eye:  Was it the flattering length of the skirt, use of a one piece wonder item, richness of the fabric and colors or the eye-popping pattern that made you sit up and take notice?  Once you pinpoint exactly what it is that you love the most about the look, you'll be able to build a better version, custom made for you.

Find the Element You Know You Can Wear:  Sometimes we fall in love with a look we see on a model or in a magazine but feel we could never duplicate ourselves.  Well, while that might be true of the entire look it doesn't mean you can't reinvent elements that will work for you.  Take the look above for example.  Maybe you love those boots on her but thigh highs are not for you.  Not a problem.  On the contrary, this is an opportunity for you to make the look work for and not against you.  Trade those taller boots for a chic pair of ankle booties.  Feeling shy about baring that much leg in autumn's cooler months?  Tights are a girls best friend.

Choose the Color or Pattern That's Right:  There it is!  An entire look you're coveting completely from head to toe except for....the color.  While some girls can toss on any color and look fabulous, many of us know which shades flatter and which fail our skin tone.  If you love that outfit but not the cool tone of say, the sweater dress, simply find a similar piece in a warmer shade that'll kiss your skin with color.

Accessorize to Accent  Sometimes that almost perfect look needs a subtle shade of you to make it completely your own.  This is the perfect place to let your personality shine through in easy ways.  If a look you'd otherwise love was accented with a chunky pendant that's not so much your style, trade the long swing for an arm party of fun bangles and bracelets that make you happy.  Too much hardware on the bag they've styled?  Go for a more muted version that still achieves the feel but in a more understated way if that's more you.

Add an Unexpected Element  You can truly turn a look into something all your own by adding a chic  extra.  Sometimes this means a standout scarf, great pair of gloves or a haute hat.  You'll know what speaks to you and plays well with the other pieces you've already chosen.  When you find it, be sure to use it as the pièce de résistance.

Thanks to Kat Tanita for being a beautiful example of a gorgeous look that I creatively made into something just a little bit more my own.  Here's to hoping you find some similarly inspiring looks you love too!  Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Meet my latest love, the ankle boot.  While like many of you, I am a long time aficionado of the classic tall boot.  This season, however, I find that their much coveted closet space is being shared with this shorter, chic style.  Showing up in everything from sultry suede to rockstar cheetah, these perfect pairs rev up nearly any outfit taking it to the next level of greatness.

Having purchased the Tory Burch Bristol and the C. Wonder Moto styles, I can tell you that my feet and I are in seventh shoe heaven.  Whether pairing them with cuffed denim skinnies, leather leggings or tights and a skirt, these wardrobe workhorses are fall's perfect complement.  Thinking of giving them a try?  Here are some pairs to suit your style:

Fair warning girls...it's nearly impossible to choose just one!  Wishing you a beautiful Thursday and thanks for reading!

XO,

It usually happens around August 1st, that little bell goes off in my head saying, "Fall is coming...so are the styles".  I guess this beckons back to days of being a school girl and anxiously awaiting the time I'd be refreshing my wardrobe for school days ahead.  Well, now that I'm all grown up, that bell still rings.  This year, however, after spending some time recently enjoying pre-season sales, the bell has already begun to chime.  I can't say I'm disappointed by this.  Fall is one of the most amazing seasons for shopping.  New colors, new patterns, new styles.  In light of this, I expect my posts will be closely chronicling many of my favorite finds for the chilly days ahead.  For today, I can't resist beginning with the most seen shoe of the moment.......The Cap Toe .

So let's get acquainted, shall we?

While this trend was originally seen using color blocking and similar fabrics, the use of metals, leathers and animal skin has now come into focus.

Mila dot-print ballet flats

The J Crew Mila Dot Print ballet flat features the patent leather option as it incorporates the use of pattern print also being seen a lot at the moment.

Mila cap toe leather ballet flats
A similar style minus the polka dots is this one also by J Crew that features again a patent toe cap paired with soft Italian leather and a wider elastic collar.  Comfy and classically chic.

Vince Camuto embraces this trend by mixing patent leather and the metallic look both on the toe and at the heel.  I like this subtle yet effective use of neutrals that offer just enough pop to speak to the moment.

Cece patent bow ballet flats
When selecting a pair of shoes, it's always smart to choose those that will give you the most mileage for your money fashion wise.  I find that neutrals and/or classically paired colors can take me through an entire season while playing nicely with both basic colors as well as those fashion forward hues.  The black and tan seen here on the Cece patent bow ballet by J Crew does just that.  Also, the little bit of lift that this one provides will keep both you and your feet happy all day long.

Current Image
Who better to turn to than Tory Burch for the iconic use of quilted patent leather coupled with the soft metallic toe cap and her unmistakable T logo?  As a huge Tory fan, I partiularly love, love this Kaitlin ballet flat.  Again, the perfect neutral but available in other colors as well.

Etta cap toe patent pumps
Now, for the working girl and lover of some daytime heel height, I found the Etta cap toe.  The width of the heel makes it perfect for a day at the office and the perfect partner for that navy and white polka dot pencil skirt.  Should red not be a favorite for you, it is also offered in bone and black.

Mona tassel heels
While on the subject of being well heeled, I couldn't pass on this one!  The Mona tassel heel is both retro and modern at the same time.  Hearkening back to the days of ladylike style, it would pair so nicely with a modern tweed blazer, fitted blouse and jeans as well as a sexy sleeveless shift dress.  Love options!

So as for me, I decided to go with these little caramel and ivory beauties {available soon at J Crew}.  The gold chainlink embellishment is something I had not seen everywhere else and that was a big selling point.  As you might guess.....my feet and I are quite happy.

Happy Tuesday!
