TGIF everyone!  The weekend is here...who has some fun plans?  I love that we can be freer to roam now.  And, while we are all still social distancing to some degree, that doesn't mean we can't have fun.  The beach is always a great spot to find some.  It's a well known fact that the east coast is famous for its beaches.  From Cape May to the Hamptons, Rhode Island to Nantucket and on up to Maine, the landscapes are gorgeous and the style vibe is unmistakable.  Think preppy meets glam and you get a sense of what I am saying.  The pieces I've picked out for today's post really showcase the style well.  Blues, white, natural neutrals, and of course the classic pop of red, all capture the look beautifully.  Everything about an east coast summer has such an iconic feel to it and personally, I can never get enough.  Some great places to scoop up pieces that give the vibe are some of my favorite places to shop during the seaside season (think J. Crew, Tod's, Vineyard Vines, Jack Rogers and Kiel James Patrick).  Old fashioned American beauty at its best.  Light the bonfire and grab a towel for the clambake because truth be told, there is nothing quite like an east coast summer.

EAST COAST SUMMER

HERE COMES THE SUN







Summer Fridays are as good as it gets and this is the first one since shops and restaurants have begun opening up again.  How's everyone celebrating?  Sundresses, strappy sandals, neutral hues and beachy scents are all going to be perfect for the scene.  This polka dot dress is a new find for me.  I think it simply says summer in one easy piece.  I also want to add this pretty two piece swimsuit to my collection.  The color is so soft and pretty and the ruffle detailing makes it a standout.  How cute is this beach hat?  Haha.   Isn't there always a reason to smile?  Summer is definitely one of them.  Who else is excited?!

Now that things are finally starting to head back towards normal, is anyone else as excited as me? Haha, I can hear you all shouting from here!  But all kidding aside, it will be so nice to be able to go to some small gatherings and spend time outdoors doing fun things again at some point this summer.  If you have plans to attend a small wedding, host a bridal shower or celebrate....anything, then you might also be searching for the perfect dress to wear there.  These pretty picks I'm sharing today would be perfect for any and all of the above.  

I absolutely loveee this one.  I mean, it is gorgeous perfection from head to toe.  The statement sleeve  is eye-catching for sure.  The lace is demure with a subtle sexy vibe.  The hemline is perfect for all occasions and the open back detailing is what makes it a stunner coming and going.  Run don't walk to grab this one if you have anything special coming up.  

This floral number is so sweet.  I can picture it at a Calypso bar under the starry sky with great music and even better company.  The colors and print are so ultra feminine and the ruffles are the just right finishing touch.  

Off the shoulder options are still on my radar.  This one and its colors say summer in so many ways.  I could picture it at the farmer's market on the weekend, a Sunday brunch or on an al fresco date by the water with my favorite cocktails.

Sundresses are always so popular and a definite summer must-have for me.  This one with its beautiful bodice and ruffle-detailed straps and this one with its ruffled hem, smocked back and romantic neckline is the perfect choice for celebrating that new engagement you and your hubby-to-be have just announced.

TGIF! The warm weather and upcoming Memorial Day weekend holiday have me thinking ahead to summer vacay and weekend getaways soon to come.  One place I absolutely love to escape to each year is the island of Nantucket.  Peaceful, pretty and oh-so-Americana, this is one of my favorite places to go and soak in the sun and sweet breezes.  Packing for the trip is almost just as fun.  These ten pieces are the perfect must-haves to take along.  This embroidered baby doll dress is great for street strolling along with a panama hat, a sweet pair of Jack Rogers (loving the gold!) and these sunnies.  It could also double as a pretty beach cover up apres beach.   This nautical-inspired two piece swimsuit is so darling.  The colors are definitely New England summer ready.  I'm also loving these J. Crew ikat shorts.  I'm thinking of pairing mine with a front tie white blouse, a pair of K.
