The time has come as we now turn the page to perhaps the most eagerly anticipated holiday of the year...Christmas.  From the smell of fresh cut pine to baking up delicious morsels in the Christmas kitchen, the holiday and its entire season evoke the most magical of precious memories deep within me.  Sharing that joy comes in many forms and fashions with gifting friends and loved being but only one of them.   Today I am celebrating that facet with a well-curated capsule of some of the most-loved gift options the women in your life will adore.  Cosy jumpers, hand-warming gloves, the most delicious winter warming scents, a classic handbag and, of course, a few spoily presents for yourself make up my classic holiday gift list.

I truly hope you find something you love here.  But, more importantly, I wish you a blessed Christmas season that is filled with the truest gifts of all...family, good health, memory making and time to spend enjoying all the things you treasure the most.  Cheers to it all!

The beauty of summer transcends all things and wraps us up in a beach blanket of the sun-soaked moments, starry-skied walks along the beach, gentle mornings followed by romanticized afternoons spent in nature, lazy days enjoyed on holiday and all the emotions your heart recalls from well-worn pages of summers gone by.

No matter your favorite way to enjoy these blissful months, we all seek after the most flattering, yet comfortable, pieces to take us wherever the journey may lead us.  The choices I put together here are timeless, classic and iconic as they speak to a style passed down through the decades.  Still relevant and highly sought after, they evoke in me a sense of nostalgia charged with forward motion.

I say this often, and it remains true.  I simply love the seasons and the special moments unique to each one.  A time for eager anticipation, making memories and reflecting upon the past.  The fact that we can dress for each one?  Cherry on the sundae type of bonus.  I'm all for that.

Introducing autumn and the four most spectacular months of year in my book.  September through December also known as "The -Bers" are home to some of the most memory-making, awe-inspiring and magical moments of the year.  From wholesome activities like orchard visits and Sunday baking to leaf-peeping and holidays at home there are so many reasons I cherish this season.

Designing ways to style my favorite pieces throughout autumn is another fun facet of it all as I always delight in finding beautiful ways to express myself through my pairings and pieces.  Today's post features a few of the ones I'll be adding into my closet and rotation this month.  And one thing's for sure, it's heavy on the burgundy balanced by the navy and beige.  I find this palette a refreshing change from the whites and neutrals of summer and an easy gateway into the gorgeous jewel tones waiting up ahead.

Gold button accents, bow-detailing, bourbon tweeds, and classic cable knits set my heart afire this time of the year, haha.  But truly, their ability to capture timeless elegance and nod to the past while embracing the future makes them my tried and true favorites.  And to think,  this is just the beginning of a beautiful fall romance.  These items are linked for you below in case you too are an autumn.

Freeman's

Growing up in the suburbs of New York City gave me some wonderful opportunities to experience the best of what the East Coast has to offer and left me hungry to explore more.  In all the years I've spent enjoying everything the city has to offer, I've fallen in love so many times!  Today I'm sharing five of those favorites with you.  If you live nearby you know them and if you're planning a trip anytime soon, these are some you won't want to miss.

Freeman's is cozy, quaint and unexpectedly charming.  This downtown spot hidden amid the Lower East Side is certainly one to check out.  I love how it's tucked away at the end of an unsuspected alley and carries an intimate vibe amid NYC. Oh, and it boasts the BEST hot artichoke and cheese dip.  It can get crowded at popular times so it's best to hit it early for brunch or late afternoon before the crowds roll in.

Gemma

Just the thought of Gemma makes me happy.  Housed inside the Bowery hotel, this rustically romantic spot is the perfect choice whether you're hungry for a bite of lunch or craving a savory dinner.  I love a big salad and Gemma delivers.  Their combinations are maybe the most clever, creative (and delicious!) I've ever seen.  Pair them up with a wood fired pizza and you will be blissfully satisfied.  The Quattro Stagioni and Diavola have tied for my affection, haha.  This spot is perfect for a Friday night.

Polo Bar

It may be a bit cliche but The Polo Bar is a must do when spending time in New York.  The ambiance is unbelievable.  It's like shopping a Ralph Lauren boutique while enjoying precisely delicious American fare.  Burgers and fries are anything but ordinary here.  If you're feeling fancy, the NY Steak and Frites is a yummy bet.  You'll love it and afterwards will leave with a happy tummy and a love of all things Americana.

Rubirosa

If you follow my Instagram you know I love my pizza and come Friday I've got my eyes on the pies.  When you want really good slices (yes that means I can always eat more than one) then you want to head to Rubirosa.  Delivered hot and cheesy a top a classic-feel pizza tray and with its infamous pesto swirl, this pie is so New York worthy.  Grab some friends and head down to Mulberry street for some Italian straight out of Italy.

Levain

Oh, oh, oh Levain I love you like no other.  I couldn't write a post about my favorite spots in the city without mentioning Levain.  This bakery is like no other. The cookies are ginormous with their flavor, taste and texture playing even bigger.  Grab one with your favorite hot beverage and you will be in bakery bliss.  Trust me, I promise.  This is the absolute BEST place to go after a serious Sunday shopping trip with your girlfriends.

What's everyone have planned for the weekend?  Hope it's delicious whatever you do!  Happy Friday friends!

Spring trends are showing up everywhere and so are those March winds.  That's why it's always so helpful to have those versatile go-to pieces that you can layer on over the warmer weather pieces you can wear comfortably inside.  Of late that one piece is the bomber jacket.  Sporty, casual, easy to incorporate and currently on major trend right now, this piece has quickly become my latest favorite.  I just love how it works as easily over a chunky sleeveless turtleneck and jeans as it does atop a flowing silk slip dress.  I especially like the fatigue color option but this one has caught my eye as well.  Other ways to wear it this season would be with your favorite distressed denim, a pair of sneakers and a Chanel inspired quilted handbag.  Don't forget the sunnies.  It would also look just so chic resting on your shoulders over a midi top and an easy pair of joggers.  Isn't the versatility of fashion wonderful? Hope your Wednesday is just as!

Winter can be unforgiving at times with all the cold winds and endless snow.  That doesn't mean though that we can't look cute keeping warm all season long.  Cold weather wear has come a long way since when we were kids.  Remember dreading the hat and mittens your mom used to beg you to wear?  Now, there are so many chic little (or hip if that's your vibe) options, it's almost hard to choose.  Pair those with the gorgeous options of coats, scarves and boots and it almost makes me want it to stay cold forever (not quite but ok, you get it).  This coat, hat, these gloves and this faux fur infinity scarf are just a few of the glam little ways to beat the chill.  Hope you're staying warm and toasty and having a great week!

With the holidays approaching there's such a festive feeling in the air and a sense of cozy at home that goes along with it.  Dressing for the season doesn't always have to mean dressing up.  So many wonderful moments in December are also made for firesides, cozy fur throws, cups of cocoa and candlelit moments made for two.  Cabin chic styles are especially made for for times like these.  Think après ski meets holiday cheer.  This sweater from Free People is the perfect piece to build your look around.  Pair it with a faux fur snood, these ear muffs and this pair of boots and you're ready for winter play.  While shopping ski coats this season I found and feel in love with this one.  It keeps you warm as toast without the bulk or poufiness some other down jackets can give you.  Winter chic just wouldn't be the same without Sorel boots.  While their style remains classic, each year they add a fresh take on the preppy style fave.  I'm currently loving this one.  Of course, I can't forget to mention the father of this classic American style, Ralph Lauren.  His gorgeous Polo collection is tailor made for December nights and weekends in the country.  You can shop all my picks for these looks via the thumbnails below.  Have a merry Monday!  xx

With unofficial end of summer just mere days away, I'm rounding up the best pieces to put together for the perfect season ending look.  Layering warm weather pieces with autumn favorites creates an unmistakable page-turning look that can take you anyway from here.  I tend to build mine around one or two simple yet stellar pieces that can pair with others or stand on their own.  This gingham blouse is classic and timeless which is the reason why it works so well in so many scenarios.  Instead of putting it with summer's white shorts or cropped pants, I'm matching mine with this scalloped hem skirt and navy blue hunters.  Layer the look up a bit with a great silk scarf and this gorgeously soft cable knit sweater I can't wait to wear.  The color, the feel and the classic preppy essence are each amazing.  I'm also loving this ladylike bag that's pretty much on the top of my wish list right now and these pretty little planners that will keep everything I need right at my fingertips.  If summer must go, why not send it off in style?    You can shop the look in the thumbnails below.  Hope your Monday is off to a wonderful start!

Happy Monday!  You know it's been a long, long winter when you start looking forward to rain showers.  I think they are actually a kind of a win, win at this point because it's finally too cold for snow and they are a sure sign that spring flowers are soon to follow.  They're also a wonderful reason to wear the cutest coat of the season aka the trench.  I've always loved that turn of the page that leaves behind the heavy coats and scarves and says hello to lighter weight fabrics and bright pops of color.  The trench coat does that so well and can be the perfect topper to any outfit rain or shine. This buttercup single-breasted option is just gorgeous and would bring a ray of sunshine to any day.  I'm also really considering picking up this asymmetrical style one in this delicious shade of grenadine, beautiful!  Anthropologie's take on the look is unmistakably theirs with the soft detailing and almost romantic notion  that makes this draped daytripper trench somewhat irresistible.  Classic colors like camel, navy and black never fail to please and are great go-to color choices.  This Trina Turk flared version in black is so chic and can be worn in endless ways from night out to day off (and it's currently on major sale!).  Calvin Klein has done it again with this navy satin number - love.  How gorgeous would that be with a pair of yellow capris and a nautical inspired boatneck top?

If you're feeling as spring-inspired as me, you can shop these and more of my favorites below.  Happy spring shopping!

Chambray and Stripes

It seems the cold weather has settled in and may decide to stay a while.  Not to worry, however, as these easy to wear staples in classic colors are perfect for layering and keeping cozy.  Navy and white just always seem right and, when paired with chambray, they evoke a sense of quintessential American style and soft-spoken grace.  Add in a favorite pair of well-worn boots in a cognac-like shade along with some gold and leather accessories and you are all set for a casual day at play.  Do I feel a sense of Saturday coming on already?  Well, the weekend always is just one or two well-styled outfits away.

How do you plan to keep warm this season?  I'd love to hear your pretty ideas!  Wishing you a lovely Wednesday and thanks so much for reading...
