Have you ever been to a place so blissful you never wanted to leave? Ever.  For me that place is The Cape and most especially the sweet isle of Nantucket.  If you've never been let me paint you a picture and if you have been then you know...Imagine sun soaked mornings filled with the scent of the salt air amid the sprawling setting of gambrel roofs and flower filled verandas.  One home more beautiful than the other.  Local traffic consists of pastel bicycles, Wagoneers and patient seagulls in flight.  A place where there exists no sense of hurry and every day feels like Sunday.  This American oasis is rich in history and full of charm.  Summer is the perfect time to experience the feel of Massachusett's finest.  It's also the moment to bring some of this seaside charm right into your own home no matter where that may be.  One simple way to capture those seaside feels is with a nautical inspired pillow.  These shades of blue do the trick effortlessly for little investment.  Add some oceanside charm to your kitchen too with some pretty plates like these.  This set can be incorporated into any neutral decor with a splash.  I also love faux coral accent pieces.  This one is gorgeous and exactly what your tabletop is begging for.  Woven basket catchers in soft grey are the right spot to house books, extra pillows and a cozy throw for sea breeze nights.  Last, let your senses transport you to the sea with a delicious candle or room oil like this one.  I absolutely love the fresh summer feel it gives to my house and dare I say, I'm addicted, haha.

Sometimes there's nothing better than indulging in a great daydream. That being so, what could possibly be better than a Paris daydream?  From the gorgeous architecture to the splendid shopping and decadent foods, this romantic city sets the picture perfect backdrop for some daydream believing.  The idea of an apartment in Paris is something I can't get enough of right now.  Tall, airy windows with tons of light flooding in, a watercolor canvas displaying just the right mix of ivories, blushes and creams and a few glamorous pieces including a well adorned vanity, a relaxing chaise lounge and the chicest little accent pieces.  It is a daydream after all, so why hold back?  Seriously though, since feeling so inspired by this city and all its beauty, I can't help wanting to infuse sweet Parisian touches into my world and home right now.  That will be an exciting way to live the dream before stamping my passport.  With dreams of la vie est belle let's make a beautiful Wednesday!

Spending time in the kitchen is one of my favorite ways to enjoy days off. Happy Monday!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  During those happy little two days, I couldn't help but notice that the holidays are quickly approaching.  With them they'll bring so many wonderful joys and pleasures.  One way I love to prepare for it all is by getting my home ready with a few chic and festive touches.  This luxe throw is the perfect start.  So soft and cozy and just the right size, this blanket is what I'll want to reach for during those quite nights by the fire.  Holiday mugs and glasses have always been a favorite of mine.  I still collect them today.  This platinum and gold set is fun and cheerful, just the right touch for a cup of cheer.  I'm also loving this black and white checked mug.  It's such a great companion for any desk side.  These fun stockings would look so happy hanging by the chimney.  Then, when it's time to toast the good times these flute glasses are simply adorable…Cheers!
