TGIF! Even though this week seemed to fly by, it's still always oh so nice to meet up with the weekend.  Nothing's better than some free time to use as you choose, am I right?  Haha, well if you're feeling the same, I have a sweet treat for you.  With the spring holidays coming up over the next few weeks, I am starting to plan out what I'll be making and baking this time around.  One dessert my family always loves (and by that I mean devours!) is Lemon Lush.  I remember this dessert growing up and my aunt making it for Easter.  The sweet, creamy filling balanced by the tart lemon and buttery crust was just indescribably delicious.  Flash forward several years to me whipping up my own much loved version here today.  For being such a simple recipe there are quite a few fresh takes on the classic recipe.  Some suggest adding some savory nuts to the buttery crust for added interest (habit which I've adopted).  Others have reinvented the base with those melt-in-your-mouth shortbread cookies and I've also heard some bakerettes enhancing their whipped cream topping so that it stays fresher longer and remains Instagram worthy!  

Today I'm sharing the recipe I always use when whipping up this yummy springtime favorite.  I guarantee that if you try it several things will happen and one will be that you won't be disappointed!

Happy Monday, beautiful!  I hope everyone enjoyed a wonderful Mother's Day with the special ladies in your lives.  I did and am so proud to be the daughter of such an amazing woman.  Thank you, Mom!  That holiday is one of the hallmarks of spring.  Another May favorite of mine is the romantic springtime date night.  After being inspired by this post by fellow blogger Ashley Brooke, I wanted to put together a few great pieces that are perfect for a springtime bike ride with him.  Whether you've been together forever or are just starting out on the journey, sweet and simple moments are the ones we end up loving the most and remembering as some of the best.  If you're planning on enjoying one of these soon, this easy yet feminine look will be the perfect go-to.  I love a great white summer sundress for so many reasons.  A few being that they are effortless to wear and completely versatile.  You can quickly dress them up or pare them down to make this the perfect choice for the spring-summer love season.  If it's a bit too cool yet to bare your shoulders, a great field jacket is the perfect juxtaposed topper that will lend a casual and playful feel to the otherwise feminine look.  Since all that peddling can lead to some sweet cravings, why not pack a picnic and enjoy a little sunset savoring.  This basket is definitely on my 'seriously want it' list, haha.  It's beautiful don't you think?  If you do decide to embark upon this fun little date night idea you're going to want to capture the moment.  This pretty pink camera is not only adorable but will do a great job of making memories last forever.  I hope I've inspired you to grab your sweet guy and go next weekend.  Wishing you sweet daydreams and a lovely week ahead!

Happy Monday! There's just something so inviting about a lovely little workspace that is perfectly adorned with all the pretties that keep everything you need right at your fingertips.  While perusing Pinterest and all its beauty and design, I've come across hundreds (more likely thousands) of sources of gorgeous inspiration for the home office.  From golden-toned paper clips and staplers to monogrammed  well, everything, the possibilities are endless.  Today I'm sharing a few of my most favorite well adorned desks and the special touches that make them so swoonworthy.  This planner, from Anthropologie via The Day Designer, is my idea of perfection with its pretty gold striping and allotted spots for your most important to-do's, goal setting and daily gratitudes.  Does it get better than that?  A bit of sparkle goes a long way towards motivating the creative flow inside us all.  These gold accessories look so beautiful atop my desk and work so effortlessly with the complementary shades of white, pink and accents of black that surround them.  Fresh blooms are always on my 'gotta have it' list and glancing over at them while working makes a good day even happier.  One way I love to add extra personality to mine is to display them in beautiful, used Diptyque candle jars.  Once your fragrant tumbler has been used, just clean it out and fill it with fresh water and you instantly add a new sense of pretty to those petals while recycling in the loveliest of ways!  These Kate Spade filing folders, these pencils and this lucite and gold accented desk tray make me happy, product (almost!) happy when Monday is here.  More great desktop decor must-haves are linked below.  Enjoy them all, as one is prettier than the next!
