So many things inspire me but nothing's as intoxicating as the delight of a Paris daydream.  From all of its  gorgeous, iconic charm to the simple moments the city so effortlessly holds, "Paris is always a good idea".  

Today's look captures the French girl style with a few simple, key pieces.  This sweater is a piece to build a dream on for sure.  The eyelet sleeves and cuff detailing are so beautiful.  It can play so prettily with everything from denim to drama.  I love it with this pair of high-waisted flared jeans.  There's something about the feminine paired with the casual that I really love.

This driving moc is such a classic and adds a subtle sense of the traditional to the whole look.  Of course, I can never go very long without some form of pink, haha.  The jacket is just the thing and would be perfect with so many spring outfits.  

This bag (similar) rounds out the look.  The color is completely versatile and works with every shade I can think of.    The adjustable strap makes it super easy to wear and the gold hardware and letter are the exact right finishing touch.

Simple pieces that are easily paired together or with so many of the pieces you already own are always a good investment.  I love when getting dressed is this easy.  Don't you?

For as long as I can remember, I've always had a love affair with pastels.  Intially, I had thought of them as a perfect way to welcome springtime with all those pretty pinks, mint greens, soft yellows and of course, powder blues.  As time went on and my love affair matured, I came to realize how much I really loved those hues as a way to add warmth to winter.  

Maybe they are a reflection of snowscapes and winter sunsets or maybe they are just a realization of how much we all look forward to warmer days ahead, haha but either way, I love pastels in winter.  Today's look was created to celebrate the season we are in with a combination of soft shades and pretty neutrals that can't get enough of each other.  Hmmm, sounds like a love story to me, haha.

This color blue says winter to me but in a very cozy and comforting way.  I love making it the star of the show by pairing this coat with ivories, creams and blush tones alongside shades of sun-washed denim.  Then for some added interest and just enough contrast to make the look interesting, I love these animal print loafers.  

Gold and rose gold accessories in the form of this ring and this watch are my favorite ways to finish the look while keeping everything so beautifully balanced.  See, with looks like this, winter isn't so bad!

Christmas is coming and that is so exciting!  It can also be a little nerve-racking though if you haven't quite wrapped up all of your holiday shopping.  Don't worry, today's post has you covered.

Now, of course, if you need any big-ticket items, this is undeniably the time to pick those up.  Or if you are gifting them this holiday, the same applies.  These T3 beauties definitely qualify.  These wands and this dryer are unanimously known as some of the best there are.  I've yet to meet a fellow beauty junkie who did own and love them.  If you haven't tried them out and can fit it in the budget, I highly recommend both.

Lucious scents are also a great idea to stock up on any time of year, especially now.  I have many favorites but as we dive into the colder weather months, I always reach for warm and cozy options.  This iconic one from Aerin does not disappoint.

Hello, beauties!  How excited are you all for gifting (and getting!) some great new beauty gifts this coming holiday?  I can definitely tell you I am and Sephora is ready to make your holiday wishes come true.  When it comes to new beauty and scoring your faves with huge savings, Sephora gets it right.  In fact, their Beauty Insider Event is coming up later this month and it will be the time to scoop up all the beauty must-haves and craves you will want to get and give this holiday.  

In anticipation of all that, I have put together some ideas to help get that gorgeous gift list going.  Each of these is a new beauty item that you and they will love.  Each is from a tried and true brand whose product line I already love and I've added in one new brand that I'm excited to try out.  

So, let's begin with a familiar favorite...Charlotte Tilbury.  I never know where to begin when it comes to this iconic line.  The day it hit Nordstrom I was giddy with such pleasure, haha.  Her colors just speak to me and I also love how she step by step shows you how to create so many gorgeous looks.  Her palettes are designed to work together to achieve the desired effect you're looking for and individual colors can stand alone as well.  I think we all love her shadows if we've tried them before and this gorgeous new collection is no exception.  I mean...who wouldn't love absolutely beautiful in these shades?  And, the words 'pillow talk' have taken on a completely new meaning of their own.  If you've tried the lipstick and liner duo you know what I mean.  Now, I'm looking forward to trying out this new set.  

The eyes have it when it comes to quick makeup looks and maybe you're more of a shadow stick girl.  Laura Mercier has yet to disappoint me and I have a feeling these pretty pencils are going to keep the good  going.  If you're in a hurry or just like an unfussy yet still finished look, shadow sticks are what you'll want to reach for.  They are soft and blendable and very hard to overdo.  They also make it easy for you to get done in a hurry while still looking your beautiful best.

When it comes to some lines I love and am always devoted to Marc Jacobs, Kérastase and Dr. Lancer are three I will always shop for.  I fell in love with Marc Jacobs Beauty after one use of this lash primer.  If you've never tried it, your lashes are begging you to do so, haha.  No matter what kind of lashes you were given, this primer will have you looking like a natural doe-eyed beauty.  I want to give this gel liner a try next.  Kérastase has a new night serum I can't wait to discover.  If your skin reaps the benefits, why not your hair?  And, you all know of my love affair with Dr. Lancer and I think this set will be the perfect way to introduce a few friends to him too.

The much-hyped Rare Beauty line seems to be worth a look too and this liquid blush looks like it would be so very pretty.  Any of you, who are fans of this type of formula for flushing your cheeks, already know what a natural, ethereal glow from within look it can give.  But, a few key requirements must be met.  They are color, blendability, staying power and pigment.  Let's see how this one stacks up.  

Finally, Dae haircare products have become new favorites of mine.  This hair oil will be every girl's dream.  Pick up a bottle for your sister or bestie and watch how her hair will glow.  And, everyone needs a great hair brush.  Morrocan oil has always been a great source of hydration and this brush will be just what we need to take it from roots to tips.

It's the most wonderful time of the year, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is finally here!  Haha, I'm only half kidding because if you're at all fashion girl then you know what I mean.  Every July Nord's rolls out their first look at fall which is exciting enough on its own but what's better is they drop prices lower than most end of season clearance sales...on NEW merchandise!  The only trick, you have to be fast in order to score the items you want before they are GONE.  And I do mean super quick as some things sell out within minutes of going live on the website.  So, with that being the case here are the pertinent details you'll need to get what you love.  

Shop early and shop often.  If you want in on the sale right now before it goes live to the public "the card is the key" as they say.  Simply head on over to the Nordstrom website where you can sign up to be a cardholder and you will gain early access to the sale and all its savings.  What I love about being one (and there are many) is that I can use my Nordstrom debit card to make my purchases and earn rewards points.  These then equate into twenty dollar notes which can multiple and be spent on future purchases and because I requested a debit card, any all all money I spend comes right out of my checking account so now debt accumulates.  If, however, you'd rather it not work that way then you can request the Nordstrom credit card and pay it off at a pace you're comfortable with.  Either way you still get all the perks and never miss out on what's going on.

So, these are some of the items I picked up over the weekend.  While I happen to be one of those people who loves to look, see and feel it in person, I suggest you shop the sale online right now to first see if the items you want are currently available.  And, if you like it, I suggest you get it because you can always return it (Nordstrom's return policy is unmatched, another reason I love shopping with them).  This sweater was one I knew I had to have from the moment I saw it, haha.   Well, in other words, I really liked it.  Unfortunately, it is currently sold out but I'm hoping they'll restock for the 19th when the sale goes live tp the public.  This Coach bag is the perfect shade for all year round and especially for autumn.  I love the shape and style and how well it will go with so many of these cute styles.  This Michele watch is so pretty and you can start wearing it right now in this color combination.  The clothes aren't the only items worth scoping up right now.  The beauty deals are some of the best I've seen in recent years of the sale.  This lipstick set from Charlotte Tilbury is her best seller duo for a sweet steal.  I'm also in love with these colors in this MAC palette.  Cannot wait to wear these!  More of my beauty picks will be on the blog later this week so stay tuned.  Until then you can shop the links below right now if you have the card or wait for the sale to go live to the public on July 19th.  Get the details here!
