baseball cap chic

Happy October!  I'm so excited one of my favorite months of the year is finally here!  Hoping you all had tons of fun welcoming it in this weekend.  I had the best time enjoying some of my fall favorites.  Apple picking,  fall baking,  football and of course a little shopping all made the list.  Wearing pieces like these made it all the more fun as dressing for fall is equally one of my favorite parts! One fun piece I picked up recently is this baseball cap.  Adorably versatile and affordably chic (under $20!) I just love how many ways you can wear it and the endless number of looks it can give.  I've linked it below along with several of these pieces you'll be craving this month.  More great looks and autumn-inspired styles will be showing up here all month....stay tuned!

I can hardly believe Labor Day is almost here!  Where did the summer go?  Honestly, I think this might have been one of the most enjoyable summers I've had in a while. Well, since last year, haha.  But seriously, I really took the time this year to focus upon myself and spend more time doing the things I really enjoy.  The payout is immeasurable.

So, whether you're planning on one last getaway or staying local, these pieces will get you through whatever fun things you choose to do.  If you're a traditionalist (which I'm not, when it comes to fashion) then this weekend is the last hurrah for those summer white pants.  I love how you can easily style them in so many ways and these options are just a few.  Gingham tops and autumn inspired color pairings (like this!) are a wonderful way to go at this point.  This chambray sundress is also a perfect choice for late summer.  It works beautifully by itself or toss a cropped military jacket over it and viola...too cute.  Of course, Adidas Gazelles and your favorite team's baseball cap are always invited to the party.  Don't forget this little camera to capture all the happy moments and this roomy tote to carry all the things that matter.

Hope you all have something wonderful you're looking forward to this coming weekend...but on another note, my heart and prayers go out to all those effected by the recent devastation in Texas.  It's so sad knowing how many lives were torn apart.  We stand with you and may God bless you all.

There's just something about the fall that requires a weekend or two spent relaxing in the country.  Colorful landscapes, woodsmoke fires, rolling hills and never-ending pumpkin patches playfully adorned with carefully stacked bales of hay.  Each of these makes me inexplicably happy and add to my love of the season.   Naturally, in order to relax, have fun and look good doing so, you're going to need to pack some basic necessities that fit the mood and cover the bases.  Today's picks are just what you'll want and need for some charming countryside fun.  From cozy sweaters like this to mud-splashing kicks like these, the possibilities for casual chic are essentially endless.  A great poncho, a pair of comfy yet flattering denim, a military style jacket and multi-functional scarf are the perfect picks to pack for that escape from the city.  You can find, click and shop all these pieces via the links below.  Hope you're having a beautiful Monday everyone!

Happy Friday loves!  Nothing says weekend style quite like the laidback vibe of a baseball cap.  So easy yet so chic, this look caught fire a few years ago and is one I love to reach for on off-duty days.  After spending most of the winter in a cozy knit newsboy cap, I'm happy to trade it out now for this spring style.  Not only is it a great way to shield the sun it also goes (and looks great with) so many styles.  For me, my favorite is this cap, these black bottoms, a comfy tee and cropped leather jacket.  It also adds the just right element of casual to a t-shirt dress and sneakers.  When done right, this easy little accessory can also give great street style sense to a killer maxi dress and ankle strap sandal like this.  If you weren't ready for the weekend before this, you've got even more reasons now, haha.  Hope you all have a great one!

Happy Easter Monday!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend with family, fun and plenty of chocolate!  I know I did, haha.  So with the transition from winter to spring fully upon us, I've been packing away cold weather duds and replacing them with warm weather must-haves.  That means saying goodbye to much loved beanies and knit caps in favor of my latest go-to, the baseball cap.  Sleek and casual and literally wearable with almost everything, I'm excited to say this topper will be taking me so many more places than just out to the game.  In fact, one of my favorite ways I'll be sporting it is with a slightly sexy look.  This silk blouse is a must-have mostly because it's easy, wearable, loves being dressed up or down and is so soft and comfortable, like your pi's best friend. Try it over a great pair of skinnies (love these) and your favorite heels.  It also works so well with spring and summer dresses, taking what could be a drinks and dinner look down a notch and ready to face the day.  Bomber jackets, blazers and cropped denim coats paired with joggers, ankle flares and mini skirts are all perfect pieces to cap off.  All this talk of spring dressing has me more than ready for warmer temps and a major closet redux.  Hope your week's off to a lovely start!

Happy Friday! The weekend is upon us and I have easy dressing on my mind.  Just because a look is relaxed doesn't mean it can't be snapworthy.  Actually, I usually discover that the most casual of looks is often the chicest.  Probably because it allows your true essence to shine.  Love that.  So, I'm not sure if it's been these still grey days or chilly temps but I'm nonetheless, loving neutrals.  Black, white, olive and taupe are easy to pair and work effortlessly every time.  Throwback style sneaks, a leather drawstring bag and plain little baseball cap make for an easy laid-back look.  Perfect for weekends, ready for fun.  These pieces also play nicely with one level up staples like this skirt and this classic top.  Mix and match them anyway you wish.  Great style is just that and has not hard and fast rules.  What could be better than that?  Maybe a long weekend…?  Hope you are ready to enjoy yours!
