Zara

It's finally the kickoff to summer and I'm looking forward to everything that means.  Beaches, day trips, parties and extended holidays all lie ahead and require some clever ways to create outfits for each of these events.

Today's look is one example of a couple ways to wear soft neutrals and easily incorporate them into looks you can wear to any of these places you'll likely be going.

I'm loving this mix of blush and cream.  I think it's such an easy and romantic combination that looks lovely any time, any place.  This simple linen blend romper is a great choice for nearly everyday and so easy to dress up or style down.  I would wear it with a nice pair of nude slides.  This square-toed braided pair is definitely on my radar at the moment.  I lovep this classic straw tote by Loewe paired with it and a very minimalist pair of sunglasses like these you see here.  A smart ivory colored blazer is the perfect top layer with this look and I think it really finishes the outfit off quite nicely.

A pair of tailor-made looking trousers is another closet staple I can't be without and happily you can now buy them to fit perfectly.  This pair from Zara is probably my favorite as they just fit so, so well and are easy and effortless which I love.   You can mix and match your looks with a nice summery top like this one and some classic gold jewelry like this crescent ring.  I wear mine non-stop and think it goes so well with absolutely everything.

And like that a few simple pieces create multiple looks that are perfect for summer.  Yet another lovely reason to enjoy the season.  I hope you have a fun time this weekend wherever it takes you and a relaxing few days off...Enjoy!

Springtime is finally in full bloom and with are all of those impossibly gorgeous soft shades of nature coming back to life.  Mother Nature showing off shall we say is the inspiration behind today's post and outfit details.  Soft sage, mossy green, buttercup and white come together effortlessly well to create a look that is lovely to wear this spring and summer season.

Let's begin with this blouse.  A basic, short sleeve button down can really take a look to new heights depending upon the cut and color.  I find this one to be absolutely perfect for late spring and summer paired with whites, creams, cognacs and some classic gold jewelry pieces that completely complement the look.

White trousers and cream ones as well are such a necessary option in everyone's closet come springtime.  This pair has really served me quite well this season which we are only a couple of months into.  The high-waisted, tailored styling is so very flattering and easy to wear with so many of the tops and blouses I already own.

Next, I love pair these colors with a slightly different shade but still a neutral and that is this rich, creamy, buttercup sort of a color.  I think these sandals in that color make for such a lovely choice with so many items I will be wearing this summer (dresses, tanks and trousers, shorts and widely pants as well).

Add in a couple of greige (green/grey/beige) accessories like this Celine bag and these slightly square sunglasses and you are ready for a casual spring or summer day depending on the weather and warmth where you live.

I think that all of you know how much I love my neutrals and stay away from much color for the most part but these pretty spring palettes have really caught my eye.  If you love anything you see here, I've linked most pieces for you to shop below.  I hope everyone is doing well and I will see you on Friday!

Hello Wednesday and to all of you!  Tomorrow is the first day of October which is quite possibly my most favorite month of the year (with the exception of December of course!).  But honestly, number ten is gorgeous in more ways than any of us can count I'm sure.  From the colors to the foods to the fall bucket list favorites, it is simply the best.  Of course, no month or time of year would ever be complete without mentioning the clothes for the season.  And it doesn't get any better than fall.

This look I'm sharing today is perhaps the quintessential color pairing for October, black and tan.  I don't even know quite where to begin on this one other than to say that it evolves into the chicest, most well-worn looks, ever.  Yes, I'm that passionate about it, haha.  In fact, the only other color pairing I can think of that is near as striking is navy and camel.  Can you see the similarity in the two?  Well, I never did say that my tastes were all that varied, haha.  I guess you know what you love and embrace it in all its beautiful glory.

So, with colors this basic, there needs to be a number of gorgeous ways to wear them.  And trust me there are.  Otherwise, things could get a bit boring which is something that I have never experienced with clothes.  Have you?   What I really love besides the look of these colors together is, that no matter what your budget, you can find pieces in these shades that will work for you.

Starting off on the high end, there is this pretty sweater.  I love the colors of course and am particularly fond of the blouson sleeve detailing.  I think it is such a flattering silhouette and something I often gravitate towards in many fabrics.  If you want a piece that is also very lovely yet a bit more affordable, I do recommend this one.  It is such a classic and an incredibly versatile piece that will work with a blazer, black denim or a shorter skirt and over the knee boots.  I've worn it all three ways and can't quite pick a favorite.

Trousers and jeans both get great mileage with any of these pieces.  You can dress them up with pretty, feminine tops or keep them casual as is the case with any of these pieces you see here today.  They also love flats, heels, ankle boots and trainers alike.  It all works which is always a very good thing.

Last, is the camel coat.  Now, of course, that shade can be easily interchanged for the classic black.  But, hands down, these are my favorite colors when it comes to chic toppers.  This one is just absolutley gorgeous and makes me happy in so many ways.  I can see it with blue denim, a white blouse and nude pumps as well as any of these cozy sweaters when the chill sets in.  And, the black version is what I know I'll be wearing come late fall and all throughout winter along with a beanie and combat boots when snowy days are here.

Okay, so there you have it, my basic rundown of the many, many ways you can elegantly wear this classic style color combo.  I hope you love it as much as I do.  If you do, I've linked the pieces shown in the thumbnails down below for you.  Enjoy!

COZY CASHMERE

As the weather turns crisp, my thoughts lead to great ways to layer my look and keep warm.  My favorite topper?  Always a cozy sweater.  With cashmere choices being my tops for the soft, luxurious feel they impart against my skin, I also have several other much loved picks that I've laid out here for a little look see.

FAVORITE WAYS TO WEAR THEM:  Shorter, more cropped sweaters look great when paired with skinny tanks that lie smoothly beneath and then playfully peek out below.   Crewnecks are classically on trend when worn over your favorite chambray blouse.  But, if an effortlessly hip look is more of what you're after, then a cami will be the perfect match for underneath these drapey cape styles.   From colorblocked stripes and sporty choices to comfy turtlenecks and oh-so chic silhouettes, these eleven ways to warm up will have you happily heading into autumn's chill.
