wow

Hello everyone and welcome back from the weekend.  I hope you all enjoy a lovely two days off and are ready to begin the week now with a smile.  So I suppose right now, it's all about the dress.  And, of course,  I don't mean the dress in a fussy way as none of us are ever likely to revisit that sort of dressing ever again.  Rather, the dress meaning the easiest, chicest piece that captures all of the classic and timeless elements that all wardrobe staples should really embody.

I went with the black for today's look as I feel it is a welcome change from the barrage of white and cream that we are all about to be seeing from this minute onward.  I do love a lot of white in my spring and summer wardrobe, however, this unexpected diversion is really quite nice.

There's so much to enjoy about this particular dress that I'm not quite sure where to begin.  The flattering tiered skirting and gorgeous neckline look so very nice together with just the slightest bit of feminine detailing.  It has a very easy fit and could easily be something you style casually or in a more elevated style depending upon where you are going.

I went for a more relaxed look here today by pairing these iconic Hermès sandals with it while lightening the look with a bit of white which I love in the warmer weather.  A straw tote is another item I find myself wearing a lot in spring/summer as it is such a versatile piece that works really well with so many looks right now.

I love my gold jewelry and think that these hoops would pair perfectly with this outfit.  A dark pair of sunglasses keep everything looking a bit mysterious and a delicate hair tie gets your hair to behave on the warmest of days.

Don't forget the indispensable need for a smart blazer to keep you comfortable on those nights when the air may carry a bit of a slight chill.  And there you have it...a perfect way to enjoy the warmer days (and nights) ahead.

I hope you, as always, found something to love here.  In case you have, I've linked all the pieces mentioned in the thumbnails below.  Happy dressing up!

Hello, everyone!  Time for a little weekly Wednesday inspo.  This time, however, I'm taking a little break from my love of basic neutrals and styling some lovely shades of spring.

I'm not a big pattern person as you likely know but something about springtime makes me want to dress up some floral prints and gorgeous shades of blush and subtle sage.  It's a very romantic sort of feel which is perfect for this time of year.

Spring dresses like the two here and here are ultra feminine and would be a beautiful option for any outdoor event.  I think they each would pair well with either of these choices of footwear.  This double strap slide is so pretty and would also pair well with many of the other pieces pictured here.  I also think this pointed toe mule would be lovely with either of these dresses as well.

Some other pieces I'm really loving right now are these gorgeous sage green shorts.  I love the bit of tailoring with the pleated crease and the high-waisted fit that really flatters the body.  This flutter sleeve top is another lovely little option to have available in your closet this time of year.  I think it would make a nice topper for these shorts whenever you're looking for an easy casual outfit with a little bit of an elevated look.

Spring and summer accessories for me always include a classic straw tote, a straw hat (love this one) and, of course, some beautiful sunglasses.  These pieces would round out any of the items and outfits pictured here today.

Well there that are, my top picks for creating a lovely, feminine look for springtime.  If you find some pieces you love, I've linked them for a closer look in the thumbnails below.  Enjoy the spring weather if it's been warming up where you are!

Hello and happy Monday! A return from the weekend always calls for a bit of something comforting yet stylish to begin the week in a fresh and open state of mind.  And with warmer weather now approaching, I love reaching for some nice, easy layers that look sort of effortless yet chic and you can easily remove as temperatures take off.

Midi skirts are really what I find to be an underutilized piece that almost every wardrobe could get a lot of use out of.  I'm not sure why they are under the radar as much as they are but in any case, I happen to love them in bold color-blocked patterns like this one I'm styling here.

The black and cream colors are perfect for anytime of year quite honestly but of course, I'm thinking about styling it for spring right now.  So with that being the goal, a classic white t-shirt goes to work perfectly with this look.  I love it tucked in allowing for the waist to be showen off a bit.  And, if there is still as slight chill in the air, then an oversized denim jacket is the just right complement to the overall look.  I happen to think this one works not only with this particular outfit but it would also be one you could wear with some straight, high-waisted white or cream denim as well as shorts if the weather called for it.

As you know by now, I love trainers with just about everything nowadays and this look really works well with them to give it a very laid back and casual sort of feel.  A seek low bun, my favorite sunnies of the moment and some gold hoops would finish the look off in grand style.

Need a look that's a bit more dressed up for a spring or summer occasion?  Then this skirt paired with a lovely black tank and some gorgeous nude heels would easily fit that bill as well.

I do really tend to love when my favorite pieces can work overtime in my closet, don't you?  I hope this has given you some new style inspiration to begin your week.  No matter which look you chose, I know you will wear it well.  Thanks so much for reading.  See you in the next post!

The weekend has rolled in and it's time for some casual wear and sporty styles that are perfect for off-duty days.  Denim and knitwear always fit the bill and this look really captures a very simple yet stylish way to wear them.

Sleeveless knitwear was quite big last spring and I feel like it's here to stay again this season.  The sleeveless sweater in particular really has such great wearability as you can easily style it in a number of ways. For this look, I've decide to pair it with some light denim balloon jeans.  Balloon jeans are a style I've come to love and I enjoy wearing them in a variety of nice colors. Well, at least to me they are colors. To most they are just neutrals, haha.

If the weather where you are is still a bit chilly, this trench coat would be the perfect fit for adding some warmth while traveling about.  I absolutely love the color as it is a bit of a departure from the typical camel version.  These sandals are the type you either love or hate.  I personally think they are quite fun and make a bold statement while adding interest to the entire look.  Black sunglasses and a pair of gold earrings finish off the look and tie everything together for well-styled look.

I hope things warm up enough to wear weekend looks like this soon.  If you feel the same and have fallen in love with any of the pieces I've mentioned here today, I've linked them in the thumbnails below.  Hope you all have a wonderful weekend...see you next time!

Casual has become the new uniform and honestly, I am quite thrilled about that.  While I'll likely always be someone who loves getting dressed and putting outfits together, I think that the more low-key vibes we are seeing are really something we can all be happy about.  No matter your personal taste or favorite way of styling yourself, less pretense means more authentic styles which is honestly one of the main reasons I fell in love with fashion in the first place.

With spring finally making an appearance, I thought it might be time to begin styling some of my warmer weather favorites in anticipation of what's to come.  Thankfuly, many of us may be planning to spend more time in so many of the fun places we remember enjoying and these pieces here will be perfect for that.

Let's talk first about this shirtdress.  This piece has been something we've seen year after year yet somehow it never seems to loose its allure.  I happen to like it styled a bunch of different ways.  From  wearing it with a classic pair of summer sandals and a neutral tote bag to throwing it on with a jacket and a pair of trainers, there really is no wrong way to go.

Neutrals, you know, are my favorite wardrobe staple and light colored jeans really earn their spot in my closet all spring and summer long.  Now, whether you prefer white or a perhaps easier on the eye shade of cream, this is still going to be a piece that will pair quite nicely with so much of what you already own and  love to wear daily.

This sleeveless summer sweater is something I find absolutely adorable and is completely versatile which I love.  It would be the perfect thing to reach for with these trousers as well as really cute worn over a nice midi length skirt with some summer slides and this hat.

Balance everything out with a great looking handbag that you can easily mix and match with several different outfits and you have enough pieces to build several casual looks with.

Styling should always be easy and simple all while leaving you feeling fresh and ready for anything.  Hope you find something you love too and enjoy wearing it well!
