Blue ocean breezes, dinner al fresco, melting ice cream cones and pretty sunsets have always been some of my favorite things about summer. And, if you're anything like me add the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale to that most-loved list. Especially when it comes to Early Access time. Nordstrom is nothing if not rewarding towards their most loyal clientele. That's exactly what happens this time each year. If you're at all interested in saving money on all of next season's most coveted items from your favorite designers and brands then this is the sale you cannot miss. Having spent some time perusing these Early Access days (available to card holders) I have fallen in love with a few (ok, many!) key pieces I'm slowly buying up to refresh my closet for fall. These boots, this poncho, this pair of denim and this handbag are all going to be so fun to wear come crisp days and starry nights. I can't wait! Fair warning...these items move fast. As in wait and you miss them. This bag is one of these "Oooops! Too late!" items. Hopefully, if you love it, it will come back in stock but, who knows. Ok, raise your hand if you're dreaming of a European getaway complete with gondola sails and cobblestoned streets. Haha, I can see you all from here! It's no wonder. I mean, seriously what's not to love. The mere thought, in fact, is completely swoonworthy. In honor of those romantic trips we're all planning, I've put together some key piece that will be perfect to pack. This darling little one piece (similar) has summer abroad written all over it. I adore the scalloped detailing and color blocked theme. I'm also coveting these sandals. I love the toe ring styling and wrap around ankle strap. This lace up top and these skirts (here and here) are darling and can go just about anywhere the day or night might find you. (Yay, easy packing!) Happy Monday all! I hope you all had a lovely weekend and are ready to take on the week. Finding an outfit I love and items to go with it always make it so much easier to kiss the weekend goodbye. Today I've done that with this chic little street style look that also happens to be perfect for late September. Bare legged days are on the downswing so we need to take advantage of them now!

I love this swingy little skirt and the fact that it can be styled oh so many ways. Here I'm pairing it with a cozy cropped sweater from my favorite spot to get what's now, Topshop. The slim silhouette it carries is exactly what this floppy little skirt really wants. Since I'm loving the varsity jacket trend that's happening everywhere, I choose this black and navy option because it's so cute and it's in this amazing color combo I'm loving as well. These Rag and Bone booties are just too good to miss and this color….seriously?

Well-chosen accessories can take any outfit good to great and these here do it with ease. I love the look of a dark, floppy felt hat. So much so, it may be my favorite must-have for fall. You can wear it so many ways including with a Rachel Zoe inspired pair of sunnies. Love.

Finally, when you just don't feel like carrying a handbag but still need to find a way to take your essentials along with you, the backpack is the answer. I'm coveting this one from Tory Burch with it's quilting detail and cute little tassel. Ahh! If the rest of the week follows in today's footsteps, we are in for a lovely time. Soft neutrals always speak to my girlie side and these picks are shouting 'choose me' right now. I love their easy to pair and easy to wear quality (for both now and later). This chiffon blouse is so soft and pretty and perfect when paired with shorts or white denim right now. Its contrast leather and long sleeves make it fall friendly as well with a great pair of grey sky skinnies. Clare Vivier knows how to make any outfit ready, set, chic with her amazing clutches. This leopard fave will be the perfect complement to summer brights during the next month or so (think cobalt, fuchsia and white) and give a glammed up edge to black and grey faves this fall. Rebecca Minkoff has left the comfort zone of her mini mac and broken through with this quilted satchel. Love! Last, while it may be a bit too early to wear right now, I've still got my eye on this buttery quilted leather moto jacket from Treasure & Bond. Just like the satchel, both are on sale and going fast. My advice is to get them now if you want them because the good finds go fast. You'll thank yourself come fall!

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you enjoyed a lovely Mother's Day with your beautiful moms yesterday. Motherhood is a wonderfully amazing facet of being female. In fact, there are so many great things about being a girl that I'm always finding something to be grateful for. Today's post highlights one of them which is getting to look pretty wearing cheery little dresses like these. Day dresses always make me happy. Their versatility and endless appeal make them a true favorite of many and a wardrobe workhorse as well. It seems that designers understand their versatility as well as so many of my favorites have me wishing hard for their latest looks. These picks in particular are competing for real estate in my closet (love, love and love these options).

With an eye towards spring, stripes are sailing the horizon. Somewhat expected, as it is a classic warm weather welcome mat look, the French-inspired style is showing up everywhere. What's more, it's divinely chic and surprisingly easy to wear. With a little style strategy, stripes can accentuate your assests and camouflage any self-perceived flaws.

One of my all time favorite ways to wear this classic look is via a boatneck bracelet length sleeve tee paired with dark capris, a great pair of ballet flats and a favorite jacket casually draped over the shoulders. If you're picturing Audrey Hepburn here and her timeless effortless chic, you've got it.

Other ways to wear it? Try tossing on a brilliant beret or fresh pop of color on your feet. A little bit of accessorizing goes a long way towards pulling things altogether. Need a little more feminine flair? A striped skirt is certain to give you all the versatility you want with multi ways to pair it. Keep it classic with a matching black or white cardi or blouse. Or, punch up the playfulness by opting for a bright cobalt blue or deep pink top to offset the classic contrast. Anyway you decide to style them, stripes will make you smile.

While there's little that's better than getting all dressed up in your favorite gorgeous glam, there are those days when I love nothing more than spending the day feeling comfy and cozy. I'm guessing you can relate, especially during these cold and grey days of winter. Well, those dressed down days have gotten even better as you can combine the comfy with the chic.

Some of my favorite stores like Anthropologie, Aritzia and Madewell are all indulging this habit with amazing options. Lately, my favorite look consists of a well-cut (read: not schlumpy) slouchy sweater or sweatshirt, a soft fitting bottom like boyfriend jeans or leggings and an easy-to-wear boot or sneaker.
