pottery barn

Happy almost December 1st! How was everyone’s Thanksgiving? This is always one of my favorite (long!) weekends of the year. The food, family time and festive fun have my whole heart and it always makes me so happy to see lights go up and everything become joyful and festive in anticipation of the upcoming holiday season.

Today I wanted to highlight some of my favorite ideas for getting your home cozy and bright this December.  There are soooo many wonderful places to turn to if you want to find the just right touches of holiday happiness.  Let’s decorate!

My all time favorite go-to for home decor all year round is Pottery Barn.  Highly unexpected, right? Haha.  While it may be basic it is also such a great source of classic design with a modern day feel.  And you can find things ranging from big splurges to tiny treasures that will bring light and love to your home.  For me, their pillows and throws are always some of my favorites.  This plush faux fur option comes in the prettiest array of neutrals and feels incredible every time you cozy up with it on a winter night by the fire. I also love these buffalo check sherpa lined choices and this plaid version

As a lover of cozy lighting that sets the mood, I adore their candle sets.  The holiday fragrances are really unlike any others out there and bring an unmistakable sense (and scent) of winter holiday into your space.  The winter spruce is so good and instantly takes me back to all those nostalgic times spent as a little girl. I’m excited to try this set this year.

I don’t know about you but nothing says Christmas like a beautiful holiday wreath.  I always find some of my best inspo here. In fact, I can never decide between the traditional green and the more country-inspired red berry.  I usually end up with some combination of both.  This one would be beautiful about a fireplace mantel or on a front door.  This red berry one also looks so pretty adorning interior doors and adding a pop of winter fresh to any room. And all of you who love a classic Christmas like me, this is a gorgeous one to pick up.

Finally, if you love to entertain, the dinnerware sets I always find here are just about impossible to resist.  They definitely have some cheery designs to choose from which you’re sure to find something that perfectly suits your design needs.  For me, this plaid pattern is the one completely captures all the holiday feels.  I just love it.  Solids in a beautiful assortment of stoneware are also available too so, I highly recommend taking a peek while prices are so very good right now on this Cyber Monday.

How are you all planning to deck your halls this season? It’s definitely my most enjoyed time of the year. Cheers to making it the merriest!

xoxo

It's that time of year. Days are short, nights are long and candles and cashmere are calling.  Holiday feels are in the air so I say let the gift guides begin!  Retailers are all recommending we start our ordering early this year to be sure you are able to get what you want in time for gifting.  So, I wanted to begin sharing my Holiday Gift Guides to help get you started.  With 2020 having been the year we all spent way more time at home, Cozy Comforts seem to be the perfect place to start.

Everything seen here is coming in at $200 or less.  Who knew comfy luxury gifts could be this budget-friendly? It is definitely hard to choose a favorite but I have to say that cozy throws are a great choice for almost anyone on your list. Some of my favorites are this soft and plush faux fur one here as well as this ivory snow heated(!) option.  Wine glasses and candles are also always a welcome gift how cute is this cable-knit wine bottle bag?  Butter socks have always been my favorite thing to wear all winter long this pair doesn't disappoint. And the girl on the go who still wants to bring a bit of snuggly softness with her this cropped fleece jacket is the perfect choice.

All of these picks shown here are also linked for you in the thumbnails down below. I hope you find something you love too because while you're shopping for everyone else it's always important to also treat yourself!  Happy shopping and happy gift-giving... Enjoy the weekend everyone!

Have you ever been to a place so blissful you never wanted to leave? Ever.  For me that place is The Cape and most especially the sweet isle of Nantucket.  If you've never been let me paint you a picture and if you have been then you know...Imagine sun soaked mornings filled with the scent of the salt air amid the sprawling setting of gambrel roofs and flower filled verandas.  One home more beautiful than the other.  Local traffic consists of pastel bicycles, Wagoneers and patient seagulls in flight.  A place where there exists no sense of hurry and every day feels like Sunday.  This American oasis is rich in history and full of charm.  Summer is the perfect time to experience the feel of Massachusett's finest.  It's also the moment to bring some of this seaside charm right into your own home no matter where that may be.  One simple way to capture those seaside feels is with a nautical inspired pillow.  These shades of blue do the trick effortlessly for little investment.  Add some oceanside charm to your kitchen too with some pretty plates like these.  This set can be incorporated into any neutral decor with a splash.  I also love faux coral accent pieces.  This one is gorgeous and exactly what your tabletop is begging for.  Woven basket catchers in soft grey are the right spot to house books, extra pillows and a cozy throw for sea breeze nights.  Last, let your senses transport you to the sea with a delicious candle or room oil like this one.  I absolutely love the fresh summer feel it gives to my house and dare I say, I'm addicted, haha.

I hope these pieces leave you inspired to head to the beach.  I can't wait!  Have a wonderful Wednesday friends and happy Fourth of July!

xx,

~K

The change of season is always something I delight in no matter the time of year.  When that change is from summer into fall, the nuances are even that much more delicious.  Crackling fires, blazing landscapes and cups of hot cider are some of my favorite parts of autumn.  What's even better is bringing that touch of fall into all the different parts of my home.  One amazing way I love to do this is with a delicious scented candle or two.  While I have many favorites, some of my favorite go-tos are these beauties by Jo Malone.  Luscious, rich and perfectly fragranced, these candles are a must for anyone who wants to turn any room in their home into a peaceful, relaxing sanctuary.  If you love candles as much as I do, then you're going to want to give these Diptyque options a try as well.  French-inspired and incredibly fabulous, you'll wonder how you ever got along without them.  Some other pretty ways to get cozy at home are with great, soft throws like this one from Pottery Barn and these fireplace accents you'll find there as well.  Ahhh, I'm so glad the weekend is here…it's the perfect opportunity for quite time and candles because you know, everything's better by candlelight.

Wishing you a lovely weekend!

Last week I began sharing my favorite Pinterest pins with you and received a lot of wonderful feedback.  Thank you!  With that in mind, today's post is a new "Share the Love" featuring my favorite Dream Home pins.  In looking back at all those that caught my eye, I noticed a definite theme.  Everything captured some element of bright, white, elegant and cheerful…all of which describe, for me, the perfect facets of any dream house.  Contrast and color are also major themes, as they do for a home much of what they do for a wardrobe.  That being, effortlessly tie together a chicly designed room or well-dressed woman.  Either way, the result is always lovely.

Here's to a wonderful day filled with all the things you can't get enough of.  If you need any inspiration on that one, you can find it via the links below or by stopping here…Happy Wednesday!
