Hello pretties!  There is one question I get asked a lot every time I come back form a haul and it is, "What are your favorite things to buy at Sephora?"  The answer to that depends on so many factors including what's the season, what have I been wanting to try, what are my current empties and when is the next Insider event?  Enjoying that 20% off opportunity is no joke and that is the time I reserve for those big ticket items (hello Dyson, GHD and NuFace).  But on a regular basis I'm always refilling my cart with the basics I love and that really work for me.  This miracle in a tube is one such thing.  Drunk Elephant's sunscreen is a year-round must for me.  Non-irritating, skin-loving and cleanly made its formula is a good for your face and the SPF is for your body.  This formula is especially lovely as the soft tint melts beautifully into the skin leaving you not even needing any additional coverage if you don't want it.  

Great haircare is a must and something I'm always stocking up on, especially when I find one line I love.  This is that line.  After enjoying various love affairs with other brands which I still find worthwhile, I've become faithful to the three-step system that is built upon making hair stronger from the inside out as it preserves your hair color, texture and shine.  Since I started using it a month ago, I've really seen a change!  

Effective skincare at a very reasonable price is something we all want.  This somewhat newer line promises just that.  I've tried a few of their offerings so far and they reminded me of this equally affordable line which I love.  Last on my happy little list is a really good palette featuring whatever you wear the most from a line you can't live without.  For me that's this eyeshadow palette from the original beauty maven, Bobbi Brown.  Bobbi's colors are always so complimentary, and bring that the   beautiful best in every woman who wears them.  I can always spot a gorgeous Bobbi girl!

So that's the long answer to the "What to buy?" question when it comes to Sephora.  There are some other favorites I always am sure to stock up on and I've linked those below for you.  As for that highly anticipated VIB and Rogue sale, it's said to be happening again in November.  I'll be sure to share my top picks once that one goes live.

How's everyone's week been?  I've been having so much fun checking off all the boxes on my summer bucket list.  Living on the east coast so close to both the beach and the city make for soooo many diverse opportunities but that's a whole other post, haha.  Okay, so for today I wanted to take a moment to talk about all the beauty deals going on over at the Nordstrom Anniversary sale right now.  From haircare to at-home facial devices this sale has something that everyone can use and the prices are incredible.

Lately I've been completely enthralled by the season's sights, smells and wardrobe picks.  Today, however, I wanted to take a moment to share with you all some of the beauty loves I've been coveting lately.  From the colors to the textures and, most importantly, the functionality of these pieces they each are exactly what our skin craves and needs right now.  By this point,  we all know the importance of a thorough yet gentle cleanse.  Even if you absolutely love the feel of lathering up and getting all squeaky clean, it's best to remember that this type of scrub down is NOT your skin's best friend.  Quite to the contrary, it's probably (one of) the worst things you can do for your precious face.  Our skin requires a certain pH level to function at its best.  Stripping cleansers that disturb this natural balance leave you feeling tight, dry and like your skin is one size too small.  Opt instead for one of the luxuriously hydrating cleansing oils you're seeing everywhere right now.  This one is my current favorite.  I'm also a huge fan of softly spiced hues that lend the just right amount of warmth to fall and winter complexions.  This palette, this shimmer brick and this lip color are so pretty and give my skin that lit from within look I love.  Finally, when it comes to hair that is long, strong, shiny, supple and lush THIS oil is the holy grail.  Trust me when I tell you that I've tried nearly every product line there is out there and nothing (let me repeat that emphatically), nothing compares at all with this.  Yes, it's a bit pricey but honestly, if you add up all the $5, $10 and $15 products you buy and don't love you'll probably discover that you're spending more than that on items you don't truly love (nor does your hair!).
