We love our boyfriends for many reasons, big and small.   But, when it comes to fashion, one of the greatest reasons is being able to shop their closet.  From the classic white dress shirt to the comfy boyfriend jeans, his closet has long offered us girls amazing inspiration for some of our favorite fashion finds.  For me, it's the boyfriend cardi.  With so many colors, patterns and fabric choices the styling options are plenty.  I think what I really enjoy the most about this particular look is how you can really play up the feminine touches with just right accessories.  For example....

The Cardi Goes to Work:  Pair a super soft mohair cardi with a crisp blouse, pencil skirt and and your favorite mid-height heels.  Add a skinny patent leather or animal print belt, bangle bracelet and pretty pair of earrings and you're ready to join your clients for that business lunch.

The Cardi Goes Out to Play:  Pick a fun color combo cardi like the one featured here.  Navy with bordeaux trim and gold buttons is one look I'm seriously coveting right now.  I'd love this fall inspired-piece best when worn with dark denim skinnies, a menswear looking watch and a great pair of cognac colored boots.  Chill in the air?  Wrap a soft scarf around your neck, grab your cross body and you're ready for a cozy coffee date with your sweet guy.
