Happy Monday girls! So, I don't know about you but for me the countdown's on for ready, set summer. That means beach ready go-to's that will take you poolside with the cabana boy or to the tropics with cocktails in hand. No matter where you're headed this Memorial Day weekend these swimwear separates will be sensational. My personal favorite places to shop for swim are Nordstrom's, Revolve, ModCloth and ShopBop. Color is everything and all these shades are so pretty! Coral, turquoise and fuchsia are great on all skin tones and the variety of styles are perfect for all shapes and sizes. Hope your week's off to a wonderful start!

Beach Ready

I've always been a fan of gingham from the time I was a little girl who fell in love with fashion. Now the once preppy staple has gone glam via chic skirts, curve enhancing jackets and shorts and the always alluring well-cut button-down, styled as anything but boring. I recently wore this black and white midi skirt to a friend's bridal shower. I paired it with a cropped black lace top and a colorful clutch for just the right amount of daytime drama. This waist cinching bow-detailed top is just so adorable and would look amazing with a navy pencil skirt and nude pumps or a super chic pair of tonal pants (loving these!) This lovely little yellow gingham dress is the perfect chic piece for those Nantucket Sundays coming up. This white window-pane version is also on my radar and so is this check romper.

Glam goes casual too with these sweet gingham shorts and this off the shoulder top (yes, I'm obsessed!). Both would be wonderful options to bring along on those summer seaside escapes.

I love mixing classics with current pieces and creating new looks along the way. Checkered patterns are turning up everywhere right now and I can definitely see why. The check blouse might be the most versatile piece of the moment and is easy to style in so many great ways. This buffalo check shirt feels so at home with denim skinnies and a pair of moto boots but can just as quickly get dressed up with a floppy skirt, riding boots, a faux fur vest and really great scarf. I'm also loving the pattern on this version of the toggle coat. Such a cute look gets even more playful when it's done in a check style like this one. I'm already picturing it pre-fireside at a cozy snow-covered ski lodge. This buffalo check scarf is another great option and would be perfect with a puffer vest on chilly November days. Don't you just love it when one pattern can get so much done in so many wonderful ways?

If you've ever felt bored with an outfit or just really want to reinvent a look without spending a lot of money, the answer may be hanging right there in your closet. A scarf is the absolute perfect way to change up a look with minimal effort and ah-mazing results. An all-seasons staple, this piece comes in {almost} as many fabrics, colors and prints as there are days in a year, making it oh so easy and always right. I'm currently loving this gingham choice from J. Crew. Light, airy and perfect for those still warm days, but done in great fall-friendly colors that get you the look without overheating. I also plan on picking up this black and white buffalo plaid one. I just love a great infinity scarf and this one's perfect for fall's color palette {aka wine, grey, camel and black}. Pick your favorite. Loop it, tie it or wear it as a shawl. Drape it over your shoulders with a hot LBD (oh, this one!) or keep it casual with a soft tee, boyfriend jeans and booties.
