Happy Friday! Summer Fridays are a special breed and probably my favorite.  They are also extra sweet when it means we are all heading into an upcoming holiday week!  Red, white and blue options are going to be on everyone's mind and these are some of the cutest I've found.  Solids are always so simple and chic.  The classics aka navy, white and red are iconic for a reason and that is because they work on everyone.  From monochromatic to color-blocked looks, when you choose these you'll be completely ready for summer fun.  I also feel like gingham is the unofficial pattern of choice this time of year.  From small accessories to sweet sundresses, this pattern has quite a following.  Its cute, Americana feel makes it easy to see why.  Sandals, sneakers, handbags and lip colors all come to play in these various patriotic  palettes as well.  This pair and these pom poms are two of my current faves.  

There are so many cute options right now and plenty of places to wear them.  Where is everyone headed for the Fourth?  I'll be enjoying my traditional family barbecue bookended by trips to the beach.  Whatever you're doing, I hope you have a great time!  Have a wonderful weekend!!

So here's a little Monday sunshine to brighten what's hopefully already a sunny day.  These bits and pieces with their pops of yellow, shades of cork and straw and inky contrasts all work so beautifully to evoke the feel of summer and sun.  I love this off the shoulder top from J. Crew.  It's happy shade of yellow would put a smile on anybody's face.  I love it paired with navy blue and offset by gold and neutrals.  Actually, I dare say gold is a gorgeous neutral in its own right!  These Jack Rogers sandals are on repeat in my closet all summer long.  They're easy, they're classic and they go with absolutely everything I own, haha.  This swimsuit has totally caught my eye but then again, does Mara Hoffman ever get it wrong?  Don't forget the practicality of a pretty straw tote.  As you likely know, I've been coveting several lately and this one is today's favorite.  I hope you all got in on the tons of amazing sales that were going on this weekend.  Speaking of sales, be sure to stop by Nordstrom for your chance to get your free money to spend at the upcoming mama of all sales, the Nordstrom Anniversary SALE.  Trust me, I've scored some of my very best preseason purchases (ever) at this one.  You do not want to miss it!  Have a great Monday everyone!

Sunshine Monday

So here's a little Monday sunshine to brighten what's hopefully already a sunny day.  These bits and pieces with their pops of yellow, shades of cork and straw and inky contrasts all work so beautifully to evoke the feel of summer and sun.  I love this off the shoulder top from J. May is on the move and although the East coast feels more like the tunrda than it does Tahitian, summer is really not all that far away.  That means, beaches, summer sails, poolsides and the need for oh so many swimsuits, haha.  Actually, no matter how many I acquire, there's always room for more it seems.  This year, I am taking things in a bit of a different direction and loving all things maillot.  The look of this style one piece is so classically glam and just so chic.  I'm especially loving the crocheted styles I'm seeing lately and everything white.  One place that is filled with glam little pieces is Anthropologie.  So well known for their love of all things vintage, their swim collection is no exception.  If you have an extra five or ten (or fifty!) minutes to spare be sure to hop on over there and check out the goodies.  This suit is top on my list.  Which is yours?  You can shop all my other favorite picks below.  Hope your week is off to a lovely start!
