I don't know why I’m so drawn to neutrals but if you’re anything at all like me then you know exactly what I’m talking about. There’s something just so inexplicably elegant about a simple palette that has kept women coming back to it time after time.  And, it's fair to say that I am most definitely one of them.

So, when it comes to curating a neutral palette wardrobe, there are a few things to keep in mind.  First off, you need to ask, "Am I a warm-toned neutral lover or is my preference more of that of a basic black and white vibe?"  Now, a true artist might disagree with me in that black and white aren't considered neutrals whereas they aren't colors at all.  But, for the purpose of our work here, black and white are most definitely neutrals.

If you find yourself loving those warmer neutral tones like amber, cognac, khaki, wine, wheat, and ivory then this is most certainly your time of year.  If you are more of a black, white, smoke, heather and charcoal lover then you must be uber chic and absolutely loving that it is October, the month in which theses color schemes take flight.  Either way, it is a win-win and I find myself filling my closet with items from both camps and never looking back.

For today, however, I have put the focus upon the black and white scenario.  I honestly don't know if I love anything more than a really good black sweater.  Chunky, well-knit, oversized and, of course, complete with a cozy turtleneck, this piece will take you into fall and straight through winter will multiple ways to wear it.

One way I love, a lot, is pairing it with a creamy or perhaps tan pair of trousers.  The feel is ultra-comfortable and the look is completely chic to me.  And, while you can always slip on a great pair of flats or ankle boots, I personally love the unexpected twist of styling it with a nice pair of sneakers.  This allows you to wear the look not only to work during the week but to later dress it down with trainers for those more relaxed or off duty moments on the weekend.

Right now, you can get away with topping it with a menswear-inspired jacket like this blazer before the weather turns to terribly cold and chilly.  I also suggest this bag to help finish off the look.  While it is a bit of a splurge, I feel it is worth every penny as it can be put together with an endless number of looks and wears like a dream.

Again, as you guys all know by now, I finish off nearly every look with a swipe of eye-catching lip color and a beautiful pair of sunnies.  Ready or not, here  I come.

How many of you have been building more neutrals into your closet lately?  I truly love how many incredible options they provide me.  Let me know your thoughts!

I don't know about you all but I am looooving soaking up every single inch of summer, and it only just started, haha!  Seriously though, after three months of quarantine and an extra heavy work-at-home load, I am so happy to be basking here in the sunshine and doing all the "summer things".  If you are like me and enjoying getting back to life, then you are probably also wanting to pick up a few new summer essential pieces and add them to your rotation right now.  Since a lot of stores have not yet reopened for in-store shopping, I have everything we need right here at our pretty fingertips.  Summer sundresses, rompers, shorts and tees lead the way for me (have you noticed?) and sneakers and sandals are each daily must-haves.  They pair perfectly with everything you see here and always make my feet feel happy.  This pink pair just recently caught my eye as you guys know that I have such a soft spot for all things rosé.  A cute two-piece can never be beat and this ruffle topped one with the side sash bow is beyond sweet to me.  Can't you just picture it poolside or under a white coverup (love this one) out for a sail? Add in some fun summertime home decor (and if it just happens to be gold, well then that's even better!) and just like that, your summer essentials are completely well-rounded.

BBQs, pool dates, star gazing and dinners al fresco have all been popular with me lately.  How about you guys?  What are some of the fun summertime fun dates you've been enjoying?  Hope you are all having a great week so far...see you for more great finds on Friday!

There's a secret that all French women know and it's honestly the reason why they always look so effortlessly chic and beautiful.  The simple truth behind their look is keeping their wardrobe basic and therefore buildable in all the right ways.  These two concepts are what allows the world's most styleworthy women to experience easy chic and look incredible every single day.  To bring a little of this concept home, I put together ten easy pieces that you can mix, match and build upon while channeling your inner French girl.   There's nothing I love more come springtime than an easy to wear chambray dress.  This one caught my eye immediately with its soft feel, perfect wash and tied waist that you can wear multiple ways.  Pair it now with these boots and a leather jacket.  Then wear it on warmer days with these mules and this animal print tote.  Joggers are another must-have for the versatile closet.  They are comfy yet stylish and can play with everything from a sneaker to a sandal to a heel.  I love them with an easy tie front top, sneakers and this denim jacket right now.  A lip loving gloss and trending pair of sunglasses (love these!) round out the equation of pieces that equals easy style.

Which pieces are your favorite closet staples?  Hope you're all enjoying this gorgeous week...see you on Friday!

How many times have you wanted to add a few new things to your closet lineup only to discover that they'd leave your wallet way lighter than you'd like?  A lot of you have been asking for more ways to save while you shop and still achieve the look you're after.  Today I've put together ten ways to refresh your look for spring while still having plenty of cash leftover to spend in other ways.  All these items are fun and fresh for spring and each is under $200.  Let's get shopping!

I think that this dress is absolutely adorable.  From the sleeve detail to the color, it is the perfect multi-functional piece to add to your closet right now.  I could see it at a bridal or baby shower,  brunch with your girlfriends or dinner with his parents.  The color is beautiful and the fit and flare silhouette flatters every shape so perfectly.  These paperbag waisted jeans are so fun and can work effortlessly with everything from a simple tank to a feminine floral detail blouse.  Add in sneakers, slides or sandals accordingly and you have an instant outfit to take you anywhere.  A soft focus finish is so pretty in springtime.  This incredible foundation from Estee Lauder gets the look done every time.  If you've never tried it, I highly recommend giving it a chance.  I'm also thinking that this moto jacket in ivory would be a wardrobe workhorse and something that you could wear with an endless number of looks.  And, with an eye towards summer, I can't forget this adorable romper.  The navy is a little bit unexpected and definitely not what you see everywhere.  Maybe that's why I love it so!

Who else is excited for spring?!  I already have a pretty long list of things I want to do once the weather becomes mild and these pieces are going to fit perfectly.  Let me know what you all think!

TGIF ladies!  I don't know about you all but when the weekend rolls in, I love to roll out all of those comfy chic looks that are perfect for running around, having a date night and just lounging at home.  Today's look is inspired by that and will be exactly what I'm reaching for as I enjoy and unwind.  This coat is my current crave. I love the length, look and versatility it brings to my closet as I can so easily  pair it with denim and a graphic top, head to toe black or this dress.  The payout on this one piece is incredible.  I'm a huge fan of cozy sweaters and the weekend is one of my favorite times to wear them.   This one has nearly sold-out but I was able to find it here.  Comfy, sexy denim is a must at anytime especially during these two days.  Loving this pair as it hugs my body and flatters my shape.  No matter your silhouette or size this is a must-have requirement for any pair of jeans.  Reading glasses, oversized scarves and cute toppers are all fun ways to add personal elements to these outfits and honestly, I've made a collection of them.  A girl can never have too many options, can she?  Haha, I didn't think so!  Softer makeup looks and a do it all handbag round out the weekend style necessities and take me everywhere I can't wait to go.

I hope you enjoy these pieces as much as I do.  Please keep your thoughts coming.  I love hearing from so many of you guys.  Wishing you all a wonderful weekend full of your favorites too!

Mid-January means it's time for the January edit.  A list of all the items I'm currently craving right now.  January can sometimes be a bit of a letdown after the holidays but I love to look at it as fresh start and simple way to reassess what I want, need, love and can live without.  These pieces make the cut which is why I need to share them with you, haha.  So, this vest is, I know, as pricey as it is pretty but if you're a fan of Moncler and can find a way to swing it, you definitely won't be sorry.  For as much as I love the parka version, this one may be even more practical as you can easily layer it with other cold weather favorites and later pair it with light athleisure pieces while wearing it right into March.   January and pjs are a match made in heaven as cold nights and frigid mornings make for extended stays at the fireplace.  This pair is perfect.  Our skin requires a different sort of love right now.  This super serum is the stuff porcelain skin dreams are made of.  Hydrating, silkening and smoothing...this is a genie in a bottle.  For those of us who love layers and hate bulk, this bodysuit is for you.  Sleek and simple, it will hug your curves in all the right places.  Last but not least, I love a great signature scent and this is mine all winter long.  Warm, feminine and slightly sweet, it's like a cashmere hug on a cold winter's day.

Hope you have some January favorites keeping you warm and cozy today too.  Please share, I'd love to add some to my list!  Have a great day everyone and thanks for reading!

Happy Monday and welcome to my favorite week of the year!  Well, one of them anyway, haha.  Two and a half days of regular work and millions of moments cooking, baking, catching up with family and friends, shopping (more on that to come later this week!) and giving thanks for all things we love and appreciate.  How excited are you guys!?

Well, with the holiday season about to begin, the weather is seasonably chilly and has me hunting for cute ways to stay warm.  Today's roundup features some of my favorite ways to do it so far with pretty colors, soft knits and sweet styles.  Free People has really crushed the competition this season with tons of cozy styles and adorable options.  Along with the typical beanies and scarves there are also beautiful berets, stylish arm warmers and fuzzy, soft totes.  If temps have to drop then this is definitely a reason to embrace cold weather days.  And the colors are a all things pink lover's dream.

Everything I'm loving is linked below just in case you can't get enough either.  Hope your Thanksgiving week is off to a sweet start!

Hello weekend!  I blinked and Friday was here...guess that means I've been having a good time, haha.    I don't know about you but I am loving these spring vibes.  I'm also excited to turn up some casual ones and enjoy some off-duty time.  Every piece here does that with such little effort and a lot of payout.  I'm all about sneakers lately and building a look around them.  This pair works with so many of the things I own and can easily be dressed up or dressed down.  I recently found this jacket and instantly fell in love.  The drawstring waist is super flattering on all shapes and allows you to pull it i or let it out.  I've found myself collecting these ponytail holders (a lot!) lately.   They're super simple but lend a sense of innocence to a look.  If you need a fitbit to keep you on track, this one is adorable. Finish the look with a sleek high pony and a great pair of hoops and you've got your casual game going strong.

It's Monday and it's January which means we all need some definite warming up.  The best way I can think of to do that? With the teddy coat.  Well, at least it's the cutest.  This coat came strong on the scene last fall and seems to have blazed its way through the top ten trends list, never looking back.  Its street style game is strong and it loves to play dress up just as much as channel its inner tomboy.  I bought this one last November and have enjoyed wearing it on repeat.  Pairing it with everything from tights and skirts to denim and combat boots has made it so that it never felt familiar. Currently, I'm on the hunt for this one.  I'm absolutely obssesed with its plush, cozy texture and blanket like feel.  This winter, it is the absolute best way to stay warm (at least when it comes to clothing, haha).   If you don't have one of these and feel like you need one, I'd say you're right.  Shop the thumbnails below for your perfect fit.  Thanks so much for stopping by...Stay warm everyone!

Happy Friday loves!  The weekend is the perfect time to dial down the dull and turn up the casual and cozy.  These pretty neutral looks are simply perfect for doing just that.  Soft shades are subtly romantic and completely captivating as they always evoke feelings of warmth and comfort in me.  From plush velvet sweaters to lush suede boots and bags, neutrals really seem anything but blasé.  This sweater will be perfect for snuggling up in on a Saturday morning.  I also love this classic quilted excursion vest from J. Crew.  I bought mine a few years ago and it's still part of my rotation.  I'm really loving ankle boots this year and these seem like the perfect pair to go with everything I already own.  You can see all my other favorite November neutrals linked for you below.  Wishing you all a weekend filled with your favorites too!
