3.1 Phillip Lim

Happy Monday everyone!  While going back to the work scene can be hard sometimes, it doesn't have to be boring.  The very basic blazer is anything but when you pair in completely unexpected ways.  While some may not be wear-to-work ready, a few simple tweaks will take you there.  This white Benisa blazer is great with jeans and a white tee but can just as easily go to work by switching out your boyfriend denim for these chic bottoms and the t-shirt for a silk cami.  Layering works wonders too especially during these cooler mornings before the sun heats things up.  Try pairing a monochromatic skirt and tank with an easy-fitting chambray shirt and this blazer to top it all off.  Such a great look that can easily take you anywhere.  Add some personality to it all with a fun hat (loving this one and this one too) and a stylish little clutch like this one (seriously though can Clare Vivier ever go wrong?).  Other ways to freshen up an otherwise ordinary wardrobe staple is with a fun backpack, a pair of shorts, these sneakers or by simply tossing it over your shoulders.  That is my favorite look of all.  What is your wardrobe basic worn your way?

It was about late July last summer when I first spied what has since become the most craved and coveted bag among savvy street stylers and everyday girls alike.  The bucket bag is the it bag of the moment and unquestionably my current fave.  Soft, richly hued and just like butter, this bag has all the elements of a true classic and wears flawlessly with just about everything.  What's even better are the options, aka colors and price points, gorgeous and varied making it so easy to find the one that's perfect for you.  I, along with nearly every other fashion-loving girl I know, am in love with this version.  It was the original one that caught my eye and has had my full attention ever since.  Given that it's been on waitlist, I've shopped other styles and have found some really wonderful options.  This Tory Burch take on the trend is fabulous (then again is there any she makes that isn't just so?) and it's more affordably priced than many.  If high end luxe is what you're after though then these options here, here and here are definitely worth considering.  Rebecca Minkoff has also put her spin on the look with this pretty little mint gem.  On a whim, I just bought this one from Sole Society and was so happily surprised by the incredible quality at just a fraction of the price!  Here's to you finding the bag of your dreams

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

For as long as I can remember, I've had an ongoing love affair with the handbag.  All shapes and sizes have won my heart over time but right now it is the mini bag that has all of my attention.  Small, chic and always ready to grab and go, these little luxuries are of the moment and gaining momentum.  Their appeal has not gone unnoticed by designer faves.  Tory Burch, Loeffler Randall, Kate Spade, Ted Baker and Rebecca Minkoff {just to name a few!} have each embraced the trend with some of the sweetest little bags around.  What I like most is the way they add just the right touch of ladylike charm to nearly any outfit.  Street style makers definitely feel the same as the mini bag can be found on the arm of some of the most style savvy.  Check out the links below for the styles above as well as some of my other current crushes.

Have a beautiful weekend!

As September draws near there are so many changes to look forward to like cooler days, gorgeous landscapes, designer's new lines and, oh yes, those incredibly swoon-worthy September issues of our favorite glossies.  Along with these wonderful new arrivals, however, comes the question surrounding our  beloved summer trends, namely, how do I wear that now?

When that trend is florals, no need to stress.  There is an easy solution that will help you take the spring time look appropriately into autumn.  Our favorite designers have cleverly anticipated our love affair with flowers and have traded soft pastel hues and light fabrics for inky blues and blacks along with bolder tones.  So, while in summer what called for bare legs and sheer fabrics, now transitions with deep tones, warmer knits and opulent opaques.  Simply brilliant.  Perfect for fall and for lending new life to just one of the many great looks I love.

What trend are you looking to take into the next season and how do you plan to style it?

Have a lovely Monday and thanks for stopping by...
