Thanksgiving may look a little different for many of us this year as that has been the 2020 theme.  But that doesn't mean we can't look great, feel fantastic and have a wonderful time celebrating with family and friends near and far.  So, however, you plan on getting together, here are some ideas about how to style it this season.

Classic pieces are always my go-to for the holiday as they are easy to style and create a pretty, polished look with minimal effort.  Black cashmere, tan suede and dark denim (obsessed with this pair!) are simple choices that always seem right.  If you are traveling, I highly recommend this coat.  I love the color and gentle pattern. It is a soft, feminine approach to an otherwise menswear style piece.  It also goes with everything you'll be wanting to wear.  

But, if you're staying home, cozy sweaters (just got this one and it's so soft), jeans and slippers (shared the animal print version of these recently and this is the camel option I LOVE!) are a perfect choice.  Virtual celebrations are fun and of course you want to look fresh-faced and camera ready, haha.  Well, this pot rogue will save the day.  Pop a tiny bit on your lips and cheeks and you are instantly there.

After the big meal, I love getting a jump on those Black Friday sales.  This year I will be doing it all online right from the comfort of my couch, haha.  And these pjs are going to be perfect for snuggling in and staying cozy all weekend long.  I love picking up a pair or two this time of year.  The hardest thing about that though is choosing which ones.  They're all so darn cute!

If you're like me, then you love shopping.   And if you love shopping then you also know that if you have a game plan, you can save yourself both time and unnecessary expenses.  The key?  Know your style, what you'll really wear and how to mix and match everything you own to easily create endless looks you'll love.  For me, neutrals do exactly that.  Ivories, caramels, blacks and yes, animal prints work together or alone to become exactly what I know I'll be reaching for most days.  

Try investing in a few favorite staples like the ones I've highlighted today.  Well fitting sweaters, your favorite color skirt, a pair of flattering jeans, a versatile pair of boots and a stunning bag are pretty much all it takes.  Add in a few favorite accessories and you're all set!  Honestly, I've been working my closet this way for years and it's never let me down yet.

September is one of my favorite fashion month's of the year.  So, to honor that, I've dedicated today's post to my favorite must-haves that are perfect for number nine.  I am the girl, who once August closes, puts away any hardcore summer pieces and happily replaces them with a fresh breath of fall.  And what do you do on those sizzling September days you might be asking?  Well, that's actually easier than it looks.  Lightweight dresses in fall colors are a huge help!  Pair them with cute ankle boots and bare legs and you are looking hot while feeling cool.  Simple accessory switch outs like darker sunnies and jewelry pieces inspired by seasonal prints also work wonders towards taking your look into the new season.  Cooler temps call for those fall favorites we love (aka chunky knits, turtlenecks and suede skirts).  I for one cannot wait for that!
