Hello September!  I absolutely love this time of year and all the wonderful bits that go with it.  And fall fashion is certainly not the least of them.  Today's post is dedicated to the pieces I'm currently reaching for as the weather finally turns a bit cooler and we welcome those darker shades and neutrals back into our closet.

Perhaps the most quintessential piece (no matter the season really) is the blazer.  I love the versatility that it offers and it's ability to work with just so much of what I already own (jeans, trousers, button-down shirts, tanks and dresses).  Of course, I gravitate towards the basic neutral tones but you could just as easily choose one in a jewel tone or even a nice houndstooth option to brighten up your solid pieces.

High-waisted trousers still have my heart as they are so easy to wear with everything from silk blouses to cozy sweaters and cardigans.  Finish your look off with a really nice belt (this one is my favorite at the minute) and a smart pair of loafers and you are all set for early autumn.

This time of year and heading into pre-fall can be tricky for dressing.  I always find that I want to wear some cute new pieces but the weather is still summery and hot.  These pieces are the perfect solution to that little dilemma!  So, we all know and adore the summer sundress.  Now that fall is on the horizon, long sleeve flowly dresses have all my attention.  This one is on sale now at Nordstrom as a part of their Anniversary Sale and is ringing up at less than $35.  I would wear it now with these mules which you guys know I love, haha and this bag.  I think that this hat would be adorable with it (or pretty much anything I own!) and then this jacket and these booties when the chill is in the air.  I personally love wear now/wear later pieces because not only do they look cute whenever you wear them, they also add tonssss of mileage to your closet.  And that is something we can all agree on, haha!

I've been previewing the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and loving so much of what I've seen so far!  Today's post is all about the shoes, boots and sneakers I've added to my wishlist right now.  When it comes to fall, I basically live in booties and sneakers.  Before that, however, aka right now I love a great pair of mules.  These from Steve Madden are so adorable and come in a bunch of color and pattern options.  All outfits love them (hello capris, shorts and joggers) and they're easy on the feet but instantly elevate any look.  I also adore my sneakers and the fact that there are soooo many chic options out there right now.  This chunky pair is so cute and can easily work with so many looks from athleisure to casual.  Finally, booties are my autumn jam.  This pair is perfect for now as well.  I love the open slit detailing on the ankle and the colors are gorgeous too.
