Happy Friday beauties!  Feeling those strong TGIF vibes this weekend as we set sail on a long one saying goodbye to summer.  I'm taking this chance to put together the last of my warm weather outfits and begin moving towards the transition to fall.  One piece that works particularly well for this is the maxi skirt.  Your best friend on warm, sultry days and equally the perfect go-to when the weather turns cooler.  Right now, pair it with a fitted sleeveless or off the shoulder top and later turn to a long sleeve rib knit tee for a body-con feel.  Another thing I love about long skirts is how easily they go from casual sandal slides to sexy pumps.  This piece is such a major workhorse in my wardrobe and takes me so many places I want to go.

No matter what I've planned for the weekend, you can always bet that I will find at least a couple of hours to spend sorting through the racks at my most-loved stores.  The usual must see spots for me include J. Crew, Anthropologie, Tory Burch and Bloomingdale's or Nordstrom.  Here's a peek at a few of the deals I found this time out...

I smiled when I saw this one.  To me it plays with a bit of whimsy while so perfectly emulating the current dotty trend.  The sheer soft texture of the fabric is so inviting against your skin and the colors are almost seasonless.  Put it together with a tried and true pair of denim shorts, strappy sandals and a straw fedora and you're ready for a day of summer fun.

This fun flat from Michael Kors will be so easy to slip on before heading to the beach, dock or a sidewalk patio lunch. If a bolder look is more your style, it is offered in a fun zebra print as well - great with a pair of crimson shorts, white button down and big straw bag.

Absolutely adoring this one!  This skirt is so versatile.  It would look great when paired with a bright pop of yellow but could just as easily play demure when paired with a classic white blouse or cardi.

It was Mother's Day weekend and I couldn't resist adding one more gift to those I bought for my amazing Mom.  As with all of those I've ever purchased from Anthropologie, this candle smells as lovely as it looks.








This one needs no introduction.  Probably my favorite designer, Tory Burch just seems to always, always get it right.  This dipped tote is perfect to me.  The neutral colors effortlessly mix and match with all the great color we're seeing this spring and summer.  What is especially pleasing is the way the bottom portion of the bag is dipped as that is the part I find takes the most abuse while wearing.  With the pretty ivory placed at the top, you get fashion and function all in one.  Love that!  Can't wait to wear this bag all summer.

The maxi skirt is everywhere this season and my closet is no exception.  I guess what is most enjoyable about them is they embody great style that can easily be personalized while being completely effortless to wear.  Dressing should always be this easy and fun.








J Crew's jewelry collection is simply beyond.....beyond.  It seems like they are putting out one have-to-have-it piece after another.  This bracelet is no exception.  It looked amazing in the Style Guide and is a great dress-it-up piece for summer.  The color is a classic favorite that works well with any and all color combos.  As you can tell....I couldn't resist!


Well those are some of the finds that made their way home with me this weekend.  Believe me, there were many more that also pulled at my heart strings but I somehow showed restraint.....for now.  Next weekend is only seven days away.........Happy shopping!
