TGIF! And it's the weekend before Thanksgiving which means many of us will be heading home in a few days to enjoy family, food and fun.  If the holiday has you heading out of town then you're going to want a fresh set of easy go-tos that'll have you feeling stress free and ready to celebrate the season. So, I've put together these few key pieces that include everything you need and nothing you don't Who said a weekend with family can't be fun and easy? Haha.  

Okay so let's get that suitcase filled.  I always like to first make sure I have something cute yet comfortable.  A classic black turtleneck never disappoints.  Soft, cozy and warm...this piece pairs perfectly with all I own and everything from jeans to a cute dress.  Tall boots (loving these!) elevate any look that you need them to so be sure to bring them along.  Then, when shopping duties call (or maybe just a latte with an old love) these cute sneakers, a great pair of denim and an oversized cardi win the day.  Ah, is anything better  than realized and ready for fun?  I didn't think so!  A warm and pretty coat is a must and will be what you reach for all weekend long.  You. guys all know how much I adore this one.  And, finally, don't forget to pack your much-loved pillowcase.  Maybe even toss in a great sleeping eye mask to be sure you get in that much needed beauty sleep!

Honestly, Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays.  Food, family, football and finishing up all that gift getting so that I can relax (and wrap) as I enjoy the holiday season.  If you want to knock that holiday shopping out too, don't worry.  I'll be posting more of my favorite gift guides on the blog next week.

As much as I loveeee the colors of fall, every once in a while I stray to the wild side and embrace my animal instincts, haha.  That usually means bringing on the black and white and a touch of animal print.  This sweater is a new take on the leopard cardis that are so popular this season.  The slightly cropped style and soft, cozy feel make it the perfect choice for the chillier days ahead.   High-waisted black denim is at the top of my list right now and this pair checks all the boxes.  I think the fit is so flattering and it works well with both shorter cropped sweaters like this neutral option and longer, flowing cardigans like this one.  These sneakers are total splurge but if you want a similar pair that's way more budget friendly these are a total must!  This belt is my latest obsession.  Can you see why? Gold hardware and the ability to dress it up or down make it the perfect wardrobe staple to have in your closet.  Plus, it's completely timeless which is another thing I love.

Lately I'm loving all things neutral and one of my favorite shades that fits that color category is the beloved olive green.  From camo to khaki this color is captivating and never more so than during this transitional moment towards fall.  Today I've put together several pieces that are perfect for right now as we anticipate cooler temps and the palettes to go with them.  This dress is everything my closet needs at the moment.  From the color to the tie waist and button details, this sleeveless number gives me the perfect freedom to bare arms when feeling the heat or layer with a great denim jacket when the mood turns chill.  These shoes are the most gorgeous complement to that very dress.  I love the tall block heel and tan and black detailing.  They can also pair beautifully with black capris and a chic white blouse or an all white jumpsuit accented with some beautiful gold pieces.  This watch, these sunnies and this pair of sneakers are current faves on my love list.  One final though...tie it all together with neutral notes in your makeup.  This palette is so flattering on every skin tone and perfect for achieving a pretty, natural look.
