Dior loafers

Some of my favorite ways to spoil and be spoiled.  While it might not be possible to always shower someone with this much luxury, when the moment allows, I say go for it.  These are a few of my most-loved ways to do it.  Classic, timeless and always adored, you can't go wrong with anyone of these.  Which is your favorite?

Classic style has stood the test of time for a reason.  It's beautiful, ageless and unmistakably chic.  Today's look is inspired by the lovely Hannah Desai and embodies all three with the simple addition of some updated elements keeping the look fresh and modern.

This sweater is such a good piece and nearly impossible to get one's hands on at the minute.  I absolutely love the shape and silhouette of this one and the way it pairs so easily with nearly everything from trousers to joggers to jeans.  There are some great dupes out there as well if you can't wait for a restock.

Black trousers are an indispensable closet must-have for nearly all of us I'm imagining and this look is no exception.  This pair wears well with everything blouses and blazers to chunky knits and oversized jumpers.

Timeless footwear is perhaps never better represented than by the penny loafer.  While time has seen the evolution of this style, the basics and brilliance of it remain the same.  This pair is absolutely gorgeous.

A classic timepiece, iconic sunglasses and this quilted handbag pull the entire look together with Audrey-like style and understated elegance and ease.  I don't know that I could love it more.  If you feel the same, I've linked all of these pieces of spoken about in the thumbnails below.

Have a lovely little Monday everyone!

I'm often asked the question, "What are the most important pieces I need in my wardrobe?" and honestly the answer depends upon you and your personal taste and style. For me, I know that that means staying true to my love and neutrals the classic pieces I love so much.

Whatever you find to be your personal style is what you should embrace and go towards each and every time you are getting dressed. That way you are always certain to be putting your best look forward and feeling confident going out into the day.

Some key elements I find I am always turning to are the basics that I tend to build my wardrobe upon. Today's look highlights that with the pieces you say which not only represent my style but also speak to the new season.

By now you all know of my love of the smart blazer.  Now, this piece can naturally come in a variety of styles. For example, whether you are a fan of the single button variety or the double breasted look this piece offers a wide range of versatility.  Personally I love a bit of an oversized look in a blazer at the minute. I tend to always reach for either a black navy or other neutral shade in this piece. However, in today's post I am featuring this chic version which I'm finding very appealing as well as easy to style in multiple ways. You could pair it with a black skirt and some trainers for an elevated yet casual look. Or you could go with your favorite pair of jeans like I've done here.

While the weather is still a bit on the warmer side, I decided to layer this short-sleeved black linen top underneath. I also am loving these chunky menswear inspired loafers. I just think they pair so well with this entire look as well as with trousers and cropped jumpers or a nice button down shirt during the fall.

Gold jewelry is always at the ready for me and I really like this bangle which works with just so many books you may be creating. I am also a fan of classic pieces like these gorgeous sparkly stud earrings and of course you know I need my sunglasses absolutely everywhere I go no matter the weather, ha ha. This pair is especially nice as they go with nearly all the fall outfits I plan on creating.

Finally, I just ordered this beautiful black bag and cannot wait for it to arrive. While I am a big fan of neutrals, I noticed that a really nice black handbag was one item that was missing from my collection of the bags most often wear.  I'm now eagerly awaiting its arrival and looking forward to unboxing it and letting you know what I think.

And there you have it.  The keys to always looking and feeling your best lie in knowing and honoring your own style and what you feel best wearing. I think that's a pretty good mantra for a Monday. Hope you are having a fantastic start to the week! Thanks for sharing this part I have it with me.

Happy June!  Summertime fun is officially underway and so is the styling.  Whether you're casually inspired or heading to a nice event at long last, summer looks are always uplifting to me.  Today's outfit is inspired by those everyday, in between moments whether they're spent running around doing some errands and shopping or meeting some friends for a girls' lunch, this one is perfect for either.

If you've followed me for a bit then you've seen me style several of these pieces before.  And the sign of a great investment is its ability to do just that.  Let's start here with this lovely little top.  This one is from & Other Stories and I love it for so many reasons.  Versatility being one of them.  For this look here I've paired it with some high-waisted and relaxed summer wash denim trousers.  By doing so, you are nicely dressing the look down a bit but still coming away with bit more elevated feel than say jeans and a t-shirt.

Next, I added in a bit of polished interest with a few gold jewelry bits like this watch you see here.  I really just love the juxtaposition of wearing it with a far more feminine top like his one.  These sailor knot earrings are such a good choice too to wear with a nice low bun and a pair of oversized sunglasses.

The classic straw bag will be my go-to all season as it works so beautifully with nearly everything from my closet that I am going to wear.  This one is a nice, somewhat affordable option that really just pays for itself over the course of the summer.

And finally, I've gone with a somewhat unexpected style of shoe with these chunky loafers.  I love how they visually pull the outfit together with their color and add so much interest to the overall look.

This outfit is completely atypical for summer and that is one reason I just love it.  What about you?  What summer casual looks do you find yourself gravitating towards?  I'd love to hear all about it!

Have a lovely day everyone!

xx,
