It's no secret...the holiday season is by far my favorite time of the year.  There are soooo many reasons why this is true and one of them is how it is such a special time filled with traditions and heart-warming nostalgia.  Both are something we all need but, perhaps this year more so than ever.

With that being so, one tradition I absolutely love is going to the tree farm to cut down a gorgeous Christmas tree.  The smell alone is enough to make me giddy.  Couple that with the quaint countryside, sweet little stores and shops and, if you are extra lucky, a beautiful dusting of fresh fallen snow.  Ahhh, I'm in holiday heaven!

And whether you're making the trip with your cutie crush or handsome hubby, it is the perfect chance to dress the part aka bring on the holiday reds, whites, grays and blacks.  A classic touch of plaid or maybe even Fair isle will complete the multiple looks that you can create using this palette.

Jeans would be my suggested go-to for a December day in the country.  This pair works with so many looks and I've been wearing mine a lot lately.  If solids with a pop of interest is your style then try topping them with a chunky black turtleneck, these Chelsea boots, a puffer vest and cute pom pom hat.  Finish it off with a cozy plaid blanket scarf and your sweetie will want to snuggle you all day long.

If bright and bold is more your speed then keep reading.  I absolutely love this coat and have owned mine for a few years now.  Believe it or not, I actually like to build outfits around it, haha.  Yes, it is that good. Again, denim wins the day but this time, why not reach for a warm Fair isle sweater, these leather gloves, a pair of ear warmers and these boots.  You'll be toasty warm from head to toe and looking like that girl from the Hallmark movie you love, haha.

So, who's been to the Christmas tree farm in years past or plans to head out there this year?  Trust me, they are so magical and quaint and you really will feel like you've stepped into Evergreen.  They also make the perfect location for engagement photo shoots if you are newly engaged!  No matter the reason, you will love it.

Hope everyone is enjoying a festive start to the holiday season.   Happy memory-making friends!

xoxo,
