Post-holiday shopping is one of the best ways to score all the items and pieces you didn't want to splurge on before Christmas.  Right now, nearly everything is on major sale and perfectly awaiting entry into your winter wardrobe.  The trick to shopping successfully this moment is buying the pieces you need to refresh your look, instead of simply giving into the impulse to buy it because it's on sale.  A great way to hit the refresh button is to add a few new silhouettes or different patterns to your lineup of what you already own.  The wrap coat is the perfect example.  This piece made a major debut this time last year and is still gaining momentum on the street.  The oversized collar look is actually carrying over to those cozy, chunky marble knit sweaters I'm craving right now.  I'm thinking of adding this coat and this sweater to my closet.  Buffalo checks and window pane prints are also a fresh and striking way to add a new element of fun into your style book.  One new addition like this great looking jacket can take so many of your outfits from ordinary to off the page.  Incorporating neutrals into the mix can add tons of mileage to any wardrobe.  From outwear to everyday accessories, nudes and blush shades can be the perfect hues to breathe new and endless possibilities into all the grey, black, camel and bordeaux you already own.  Aside from these closet craves you can also give your beauty routine a mini refresh with a pot of gold cream like this from the cult favorite La Mer.  My friend Dani turned me on to its wonders (you can find out more about her pearls of wisdom here) and I've been hooked ever since.  Last, don't overlook your book collection.  I received these two books by Kate Spade and Garance Dore for Christmas and they are my current bedside reads.  Hope your week is off to a beautiful and refreshing start…have a lovely day!
