One of summer's greatest luxuries is the extended length of time it allows for travel.  From beach fronts to jet set, July and August are quintessentially reserved for 'being on holiday'.  My list of must-sees is so expansive, I could probably write a whole week's worth of posts dedicated to each lovely little locale.  So, I figured let's start slowly with a few of my local favorites as well as a couple luxe wishlist spots.  We are so lucky to live in a country that is home to such gorgeous and historically rich spots from coast to coast.  One of my all time favorite east coast get-aways is Cape Cod  flanked by the islands of Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard.  If you've been, you know why.  If you haven't, get thee to a Vineyard Vines asap, haha.  Honestly though, the Americana feel that the New England coastal towns possess is like nothing else I've seen anywhere.  The history and cultural they give off are timeless and iconic (hello Jackie O.) With so many great places to stay, shop and dine you'll want to plan carefully.  Be sure though not to miss this sunset catamaran cruise…amazing! Also, if you're looking for a true taste of the island and fantastic place to stay don't miss the Wauwinet Inn.  You'll never want to leave!

Also on my list for great summer escape right here in this wonderful country of ours is California's Napa Valley.  If you really want to pull out all the stops and bask in the delightfulness of world class luxury, be sure to get acquainted with Auberge du Soleil.  The sweeping views are incredible and the seasonal packages offered are designed to meet your specific needs.  So with the east and west coasts covered, my travel diaries would never be complete without a taste of Europe and its unmistakable flair.  First on my list, like so many of us, is a little trip to Paris.  Ahh, the romance and elegance of the city of lights is nearly impossible to beat.  While I haven't yet been myself, I've heard lovely things about its sights and stays.  Le Bristol Paris, cleverly located off the Champs-Elysées, the most glamorous of French-famed shopping streets, is just a bit off the beaten path giving it a more private feel.  A gorgeous garden courtyard, winding staircase and rooftop views are like a Pinterest board that's come to life.

So, those are just a few places I  highly recommend exploring when wanderlust comes calling.  Just for fun I've added some great vacay items you can wear here or there. You can shop them via the links below.  Hope you all have a lovely weekend and stay tuned for the best of Nord's Anniversary Sale coming soon (or shop early access for cardholders here).
