What is it about the soon-to-be month of May that inspires my preppy-chic side?  It could be the sunshine-filled carefree days, the coming of the Kentucky Derby, the promise of summer ahead or maybe a little bit of each.  Giving a little love to each, I've put together my current southern charm favorites.  From the classic feel of Jack Roger's Navajo to the elegant glamour of Tory Burch, these summer staples are the perfect addition to my closet.  This darling little charmer  from Max and Chloe may be my favorite but oh how I'd love to collect them all!  With May only a day away, what wardrobe wishes are you making?

This weekend's annual procession to Churchill Downs is perhaps one of the most ladylike glamorous events the gentlemen have ever attended.  From colorful carefully chosen dresses and hats to cool mint juleps, this weekend is more about the fashion than the footrace.  Having always admired the chivalrous traditions and the very proper sense of style of the south, this makes for a great opportunity to people watch.  Why not grab your monogram and glam and enjoy a glorious day in the sunshine.
