There's something about the cusp of springtime that puts me in the mood for navy and stripes. I think it's such a classic combo and one you can wear in just so many easy and effortless ways. But still, the look somehow always seems to read as classic and sophisticated even if it just taking you too the grocery store.
Today I've styled the two in a very spring and rainy weather kind of way that is dressed down here but could just as easily become a bit more elevated with a simple swap of the trainers for some loafers or heels and sleek, chic low bun instead of a ponytail and cap.
That being said, let's talk about the striped long sleeved tee for a minute, shall we? I always say that the most functional wardrobes are essential built upon a few really great basics that you can you can reach for and wear in a number of ways. The striped tee is one of those must haves for me. I love it now under a jacket or blazer, paired with some nice denim or worn with white trousers and sandals come summertime. But honestly, no matter how you wish to wear it, it works beautifully to create a striking look.
A navy trench coat is another constant in my closet every time the weather turns a bit warmer. Unmistakably classic and iconic in its nature, this style jacket always finishes a look so easily and so well and it reminds me so much of living life in London.
Trainers are a year round go-to for me and this is my favorite pair for warmer weather. They simply work and love to be paired with nearly everything I already own. That includes simple trousers, some nice sunnies and a statement pair of gold hoops. Whatever you're in the mood for, really.
And that is my favorite thing about styling these daily looks. Ease, comfort and personal style are what make us each unique and that is something to celebrate each day. Hope you're having a beautiful day celebrating your style.
