Never underestimate the power of a wardrobe workhorse aka any item that can and should be worn in multiple ways.  Neutral pieces that can be mixed and matched to create a variety of wearable options easily qualify for this coveted title.  These lovely pieces here today are all in the running with their classic colors, basic patterns and easy silhouettes that readily complement one another.

Classic trousers are always easy to wear and look so well done worn with a button down blouse (in any length sleeve including without), a basic tank in your favorite color or a tried and true striped tee.  The same is true of both the long ivory denim skirt and everyday tie-waist shorts.  Each of these will always allow you to extend your wardrobe across the days both casual ones as well as those a bit more dressed up.

One more item I am always drawn to during summer is the one piece romper.  This little gem can be found  in both lonerg and shorter version and can easily layer beneath a summer sweater, easy cardigan or under a smart blazer.  From there, pop on some slide sandals or your favorite trainers and you're ready for anything fun and casual.   Personally, I love it with a tailored jacket, a pair of low heeled sandals and my favorite clutch for a nice summer evening.

Styling straight out of your closet should always be easy and these pieces and tips hopefully make it effortless for you as we approach the last full month of summer.  I hope you've enjoyed these ideas and can maybe take them along with you this weekend.  Thanks for stopping by!
