Pretty holiday party looks are just what the season calls for and achieving this kind of perfection is far easier than it seems.  Step one for any one of these looks is to start with an ultra clean canvas.  You can get it by using a combination of primer and a neutral based foundation.  This skin smoother from Laura Mercier is always in my make-up bag.  It seals in your skincare and keeps your makeup from seeping into the pores.  I use this foundation stick from Bobbi Brown to give my skin a flawless finish with a beautiful blurred effect.  Gorgeous neutral shadow palettes effortlessly enhance any eye color and bring them into focus as the focal point of your look.  Since it is holiday time, why not amp up the look with the swipe of a really good liquid liner.  While it can sound daunting, if you can write with a marker you can master the art of the liner pen.  It really isn't an art at all as all you need to remember is to steady your hand and allow the felt tip to softly follow the upper lash line as close to the roots as possible.  If it's easier, I sometimes make tiny dots along this area to fill it in and then connect them to thicken it slightly.  Lots of lashes are a must with these looks.  This 2-in-1 primer and mascara duo is my new favorite.  I love the conditioning thickness the primer gives and the volume, length and definition this mascara creates.  A rosy glow is always a gorgeous look and never more so than in the winter.  These pot rouges are richly pigmented and the tiniest bit goes a long way.  They also double a soft lip and/or eye color as well.  Don't forget to add a little concealer under the eyes to make up for the lost sleep we can all miss this time of year.  For some added prettiness try dusting the slightest bit of this brightening powder under the lower lashline to keep liner from smudging as it lights up your face with that lit from within glow.  If you're thinking of trying any of these lovely looks on for yourself, you can shop my favorite ways to get them in the links below.  Merry almost Christmas!!
