Happy Monday all!  I hope you all had a lovely weekend and are ready to take on the week.  Finding an outfit I love and items to go with it always make it so much easier to kiss the weekend goodbye.  Today I've done that with this chic little street style look that also happens to be perfect for late September.  Bare legged days are on the downswing so we need to take advantage of them now!
I love this swingy little skirt and the fact that it can be styled oh so many ways.  Here I'm pairing it with a cozy cropped sweater from my favorite spot to get what's now, Topshop.  The slim silhouette it carries is exactly what this floppy little skirt really wants.  Since I'm loving the varsity jacket trend that's happening everywhere, I choose this black and navy option because it's so cute and it's in this amazing color combo I'm loving as well.  These Rag and Bone booties are just too good to miss and this color….seriously?
Well-chosen accessories can take any outfit good to great and these here do it with ease.  I love the look of a dark, floppy felt hat.  So much so, it may be my favorite must-have for fall.  You can wear it so many ways including with a Rachel Zoe inspired pair of sunnies.  Love.
Finally, when you just don't feel like carrying a handbag but still need to find a way to take your essentials along with you, the backpack is the answer.  I'm coveting this one from Tory Burch with it's quilting detail and cute little tassel.  Ahh!  If the rest of the week follows in today's footsteps, we are in for a lovely time.  Enjoy your day everyone and thanks so much for stopping by!

Fall brings us so many wonderful things and new color crushes are always part of that.  One of my latest loves is this camel and grey combo.  Subtle and chic, these two always work no matter what pieces you decide to pair.  A classic, chunky heather grey turtleneck worn effortlessly with a great pair of boyfriend denim beneath a chic camel coat alongside a leopard clutch always says fall to me.  Loving this Vince option and this neutral topper.  This buttery leather jacket and cozy knit scarf will also definitely be on repeat in my closet in the upcoming weeks.  Thank you soft neutrals for making life happy and sweet.

Have a wonderful weekend!

There's a name among the crowd getting a lot of beauty buzz lately.  Whenever this happens, you know it unquestionably catches my ear and my eye.  That name is currently, Charlotte Tilbury.  The UK based makeup maven has been making inroads here in the U.S. and has garnered the attention of the makeup elite.  After seeing and hearing so many good things about the beauty guru, I decided I needed to take a closer look.  Oh my, do I love what I've seen.  Much like Burberry, Stella McCartney, Mulberry and more, this line has the same strong understated presence that speaks volumes with its subtle elegance.  No harsh colors or overly bold moves here, they're simply not needed.  Instead, there are only beautiful shades of girl gone gorgeous.  These looks you see here can each be easily achieved with these brilliant  makeup sets designed to help you effortlessly recreate the look you are going for.  Item for item, they work out to be a savings over the cost per piece price you'd otherwise pay.  And, what's even lovelier is all the guesswork has been taken away, leaving you only with what you want and what you need to get the look.  I'm obsessed with The Ingénue and The Uptown Girl.  Their nudes and peach tones are beyond amazing.  If you too love what you see you can shop these looks and so many more here or by using the thumbnails below.  I hope you find something you adore as much as I have….I'm pretty confident you will.  Enjoy!

Have a beautiful Wednesday!

Happy Monday, lovelies!  Fall officially begins tonight and there's no better way I can think of to kick it off than with the most gorgeous selection of boots available this season.  These are my top picks featuring all the must-have colors and styles you'll need to finish off your fall and winter looks.  While the riding boot will always be a much loved classic we all own, these sister styles are the ones stealing the show this time.  From cowboy to moto, ankle boots are the hottest thing hitting the pavement right now.  With absolutely every designer and brand drawing up their own version of this scene stealer, there's definitely something for everybody to love.  For me that would include a few coveted choices starting with the Billie Boot from Madewell.  The classie color and timeless style of this boot make it so easy to wear and simple to pair with everything from tunic style silk shirtdresses to skinny jeans and a soft flannel.  These Dolce Vita suede booties are on my wish list.  I love their casual appeal and think they be perfect with denim, plaid and a fabulous fur vest.  Last, when Saturday night rolls around these beautiful J. Crew Collection calf hair ankle boots are what I'll be reaching for.  I love them with a curve loving black pencil skirt, gold accent jewelry and a fitted leather jacket.
How about you?  What's your boot style this season?

Wishing you all a lovely Monday and thanks for reading!

The change of season is always something I delight in no matter the time of year.  When that change is from summer into fall, the nuances are even that much more delicious.  Crackling fires, blazing landscapes and cups of hot cider are some of my favorite parts of autumn.  What's even better is bringing that touch of fall into all the different parts of my home.  One amazing way I love to do this is with a delicious scented candle or two.  While I have many favorites, some of my favorite go-tos are these beauties by Jo Malone.  Luscious, rich and perfectly fragranced, these candles are a must for anyone who wants to turn any room in their home into a peaceful, relaxing sanctuary.  If you love candles as much as I do, then you're going to want to give these Diptyque options a try as well.  French-inspired and incredibly fabulous, you'll wonder how you ever got along without them.  Some other pretty ways to get cozy at home are with great, soft throws like this one from Pottery Barn and these fireplace accents you'll find there as well.  Ahhh, I'm so glad the weekend is here…it's the perfect opportunity for quite time and candles because you know, everything's better by candlelight.

Wishing you a lovely weekend!

You know an outfit has amazing eye appeal when it gets more compliments than hours in the day.  That's exactly what happened when I recently wore these printed pants.  Soft, easy to wear and oh so chic, they are a wardrobe dream piece.   What I'm really loving about these pants is how versatile they are and how effortlessly they make the sometimes tricky transition from late summer to early fall.  As the east coast is getting a wonderful taste of autumn, this pair was the perfect choice for me.   I paired it with a cream silk blouse and a buttery leather jacket placed over the shoulders for the early morning chill.  Accent the look with some beautiful gold jewelry pieces like this necklace and bracelet and this watch.  You'll be pretty and polished without looking like you worked too hard at it.  If you're loving this look as much as I am, some other printed options you might consider on those still warm days are these, these and these pairs.  I hope you find something you love!

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your Wednesday!

Happy Monday everyone!  I hope you all enjoyed a lovely weekend.  It's a Madewell Monday on Chic Saturday.  Today I'm sharing my top favorite picks from the street-styled, tomboyish sister store of J. Crew.  Honestly, there's often very little from their offerings that I don't adore.  Easy to wear pieces, on-trend looks and an underlying sense of preppy gone cool, Madewell makes getting dressed fun and simple.   I love their mix and matchable pieces that are perfect for those days you can let your style show or simply want a laid back feel.  This plaid flannel is what I'll reach for when I want to be cozy.  Always the bookworm, these tortoise rimmed frames sit on my nightstand ready to help me sport the look.  Add this clutch in and just like that, the librarian cliché is working.  French verbiage is something I can never get enough of and Madewell completely understands this.  This sweater and this comfy sweatshirt are each on my wish list for fall.      So much to love and so many easy ways to look effortlessly tomboy chic.

Wishing you a beautiful week and thanks so much for reading!

Fashion Week has been a whirlwind of gorgeous looks, fast-paced fashion, eye candy palettes and simply put, beauty for miles.  I've enjoyed every moment I was able to spend soaking in the New York fashion set.  One of my favorite of those was being able to catch up with blogger friends from all across the nation.  Here is a photo diary of some of the fun moments we shared amid the New York City skyline.    Naturally, the clothes were amazing…If you like what you see, you can shop some of the looks below. So much thanks to Reward Style, InStyle magazine, Kendra Scott, Ann Taylor, Piperlime, BlueflyZinkÄ“ and Topshop  for all the gorgeous goodies and a wonderful time.

Hope your weekend includes plans for something fun….Happy Friday everyone!
