NOW TRENDING…
As we head into spring, so many great looks are making their presence known and competing for our attention.  While there are a few that have caught my eye, today the nod goes to a long loved casual favorite, denim on denim.

From the time of greasers and pink ladies, the 'blue jean' has long been known as the effortlessly cool go-to item everyone wanted in their wardrobe.  Since then, things have only gotten better.  Now, not only do we love to wear our skinnies, boyfriends and cut-offs more ways than Tory has shoes, but we also enjoy pairing them with our chambray blouses, cropped jean jackets and sweetly perfect graphic tees.  Truly, any wardrobe staple that can span that many decades, is iconic in its own right.

The like on like look is anything but Jerry Seinfeld nor is it blasé.  When done correctly, it's effortless perfection.  Try these "Ways to Wear It" on of size:

CASUAL LUXE
Choose a dark wash chambray shirt worn loosely with a pair of well-worn indigo boyfriends.  Add a pair of oxfords, skinny wrap belt and your favorite fedora in a a winter rich hue.  Flash forward to spring as you don a pair of J. Crew's chic ankle zip toothpick bottoms in railroad stripe topped with their light blue denim stretch jacket and rounded out with these New Balance for J. Crew 620 sneakers.

CANDY COLORS
Pastel pink and soft dusty blues.  These are the colors comfy closets are made of.  Spring foreshadows beautiful ways to wear both shades with a sense of Betty Draper gone street style.  Give it a go with this gorgeous J. Crew Collection Circle Skirt in night garden floral.  Grab a great graphic tee like this one and layer it under a soft denim western shirt in pale indigo tied playfully at your waist.  The ladylike finish?  A sweet pair of pink suede pumps  and softly colored accessories.

CHIC AND SIMPLE
French-inspired but perhaps the most American of all, is this easy little look starring three key players.  The J.Crew Selvedge toothpick jean in cherish wash is the perfect off duty denim.  One timeless way to always wear it is with the classic blue and white striped tee.   All that's needed after that is a pop of color via your latest handbag crush and your favorite feminine flats.

Thank you denim for leaving us anything but blue.  Happy Monday, everyone!  Thanks so much for stopping by!
