Endless Summer



Here on this last day of August I thought it would be the perfect time to say farewell to summer and some of the wonderful items and pieces that have claimed a preferred place in my closet and wardrobe this season.  Who can forget lazy days spent sporting Supergas and sultry nights adorned with oceanside and nautical gems?  Mint colored everything and pops of pink and coral will not soon be forgotten but rather perfectly replaced with bolder shades of teal and bordeaux.  Starfish and anchors now turn the tide making way for side-strung and collar necklaces.  Of course, there are those year-round favorites, like these tortoise shell sunnies that will travel on with me throughout the year.  
So, as we turn the page and head towards fall, I'll be taking many great summer memories with me as I look forward to new favorites that will surely keep me cozy and cute while enjoying the autumn chill.

//Your Everyday Favorite//  We all have one of these.  It's the bag you can always turn to that takes you to lunch, drops of the kids and attends school meetings.  I find a mid-sized option works best for me and am particularly loving these two bags by Tory Burch and Michael Kors.  Always classic, always fabulous.

//The Gym Bag//  Never fussy and always ready for whatever you through at it. These Marc Jacobs quilted totes are washing machine friendly and come in an amazing assortment of patterns and colors.   Perfect for Pilates, yoga or spin class.

The Tippi, Two Ways




One of my recent favorite finds is the Tippi Sweater from J Crew.  As with so many of their wonderful pieces this staple comes in a wide array of colors and patterns.  While yes this can sometimes make it harder to choose, it also allows for many styling options.  Here are two different ways I came up with to work it day or night.


//Day Look//  Polka dots get playful.  Bordeaux and navy work together to create a polished daytime look that can carry you through meetings, lunch, projects and whatever the day may bring.  The pairing of the sweater, skirt and nude heels makes it feminine, while undeniably evoking an understated allure.

//Play Look//  Tippi takes it on the town, mixing chic animal print with glam accessories.  By adding in a gold necklace and hoop earrings along with a girlie clutch, you are ready for fashion after dark.

Naturally, the possibilities don't end here.  Tippi is a fun, versatile girl and so easy to style.  With so many color and style options available, you may find yourself picking up more than one or two of these great sweaters.  I say, you can never have too many...here's to the start of a great friendship.
